An adult in Pokemon - Chapter 62 Elite Battle rematch!
-2 days later-
Finally cleared from the hospital, the group were visiting the pre-elite school. Several Elite trainer candidates had been invited to showcase there skills and how dangerous it was compared to other training.
Gray was mostly quiet as he was dealing with a little bit of a headache. The young trainers would all be killed with the current mentality they had. At the age of 16 and with all the different things going on, he thought they would have more survival skills. He was dead wrong.
“Well, at least they will make really great regular trainers. They won’t stand a chance in the elite divisions or its missions.” Gray looked on sadly. “I weep for this places future.”
“It is not the bad Gray.” Misty said next to him. She had returned to drop off some POkemon to her family. Especially after she heard that her sisters had awakened there auras fully. They gym was insanely popular with trainers coming from all over to battle. Beside’s Gray, June, Sabrina, ASh, and a trainer Jack, all other Trainer’s lost at the Elite Battles. “Where are you headed to next by the way?”
“Neo Saffron City and Cobblestone City. Both places have badges I wish to get. I will head to Vermillion after those two places.” Gray said looking at her from the corner of his eyes. “How about yourself?”
“I am heading to the Johnto region to visit a friend,” Misty said leaning forward. Her top was a little loose in the front as she showed Gray her cleavage. She was getting back at him for the times he teased her. “You ok Gray? It rude not to give you full attention to someone.”
“Hahaha yeah, I am ok. Just a little thirsty. GUlp.” Gray had to swallow his spit. Someone put him with the female division as a joke. AS the only male besides his Growlithe that was out, he was having trouble looking away. “Glad this is over though. GOing to get some supplies and head to the next place soon.” He looked over at June who was looking troubled about something. ‘What is bothering her? Usually, a clean bill of health would make yah happy.’
‘She was talking about home this morning.’ Empress said from within. ‘She might be homesick.’
‘Makes sense.’ Gray turned towards the announcer who finished up. “Finally!” He took two steps towards Sabrina and June before he was stopped. “What do you want?”
“Fight me! No excuses!” Ash said in front of everyone. The others looked on shocked. Sabrina said nothing as she sipped her drink. Misty looked as if she ate a fly. “June stared abstenmindly.
“Step down Ash!” Misty said. “He will not hold back.” She felt the strange power surge in Gray when Ash got close. ‘Why is he as angry as a Gyrados all of a sudden?’
Ash nodded. “Ready Pikachu?” His partner nodded and entered the median state jumping inside him. Sparks of electricity danced around Ash for a moment. His Charizard standing by his side.
Gray just grinned. A dark glint in his eyes as Empress said she wanted to go full throttle. She let her power go from its reigns inside him. “Pokesoul,” Gray muttered as his hands gained the claws as well as the feet. Dark energy was prominent and Gray took from the area into himself. Mouthpiece and neck guard protecting those areas.
“Pokefusion!” Ash yelled as he grabbed Charizards hand. The Pokemon was agitated for some reason around Gray. But it followed along with Ash’s choice.
A fused claw formed. A fin on the side of the arm by the wrist. Tail coming out with a small flame lit up. Two horns spotted out of Ash’s head in the form slant ridges.
“I will referee.” Said Daisy stepping forward. Brock stepped forward with her. He noticed how Gray talked very friendly with Mist’s sister’s earlier. Indicating that he will help, Daisy just shrugged. “No problem for me. That way I can give the kids pointers as well. Listen up, kids. This is a real elite battle. Today you will see how dangerous it can be. If you are sick ot squeemish I suggest you learn or get out of the splash zone at least.”
“Woohoo yeah.” The crowd cheered. Neo Cerulean citizens had turned into the biggest supporters of elite battles in the last few days.
“Battle Begin!” Brock yelled.
In a flicker of speed, Gray cut across the way striking Ash in the neck. Not relenting his leg came up in a kick towards the chest. “Bang!” As if kicking against steel, Gray clenched his toes. “Scrrreccchh,” the armor tearing under the force.
“Dark Pulse!” Left hand outstretched, he fired point-blank. The blast only rocked Ash’s head a little. “Tch” with a grunt he let go and flew back. “Bulk up!” Gray called out but also channeled and used Calm Mind! Warm aura power flowed off him.
“Take this!” Ash said before firing a Thunderbolt out. With a swing of his tail, three arcs of lighting jumped towards Gray.
“Hmph,” with a snort Gray used Reflect. A light dome appeared around him. Using the glare for cover, Gray activated Swords Dance but allowed the blade to flow into instead of keeping them manifested.
“Bzzt, bzzt, bzzt.” the arcs flew off into the air harmlessly.
‘Let’s do it Pikachu!’ Ash said to his medium. “Volt Tackle!” Running forward Ash was engulfed in a blanket of electrical energy. His legs twitched slightly in agitation. He arrived in front of Gray swinging his leg out. He missed but followed up with a turn with his tail. “Rahhh!” Grunting with force his tail sped up. He saw a slight movement from Gray before it connected.
“Wam!” His electrified tail sent Gray back over 30 feet. “Thump,” pressed against the wall Gray dropped the block he placed up. Dark aura dissipating from his forearm.
“Thunder Flash!” With a cry, Ash channeled the aura energy from his Volt Tackle that still encircled his body.
“Bzzt!” A wave of electrical power condensed then fired out in a wave. “Wooom,” as it passed over the area it turned all the rocks into dust.
“Haaa,” Ash exhaled as a trace of fatigue came out. ‘Charizard and Pikachu you two ok?’
‘You bet!’ Charizard said. Pikachu just sent him a mental nod. ‘Somethings coming!’ Charizard warned.
“Huh!?” Surprised, Ash saw Gray was covered in scorched marks. “You didn’t block or tried to dodge it!”
“Raaaawwr!” Gray roared as his claw was engulfed in psychic and dark power. He was using Double Revenge. The first slash missed but not the second one.
“Whiff,” the little force from the strike left a trail of energy in the air. Ash looked at him wide eyed stunned. The second came faster cutting down his chest. “Schlllick,” a trail cut, went from his solar plexus down to his groin.
“Ahhh!” Ash screamed and stepped back after using a blast of electricity. The move Discharge was something Gray would not risk getting hit with. “Agility!” With an increase in speed he moved away.
“Bzzzt!” The Dischage went off catching nothing. From ash’s mouth a ball of fire and electricity circled. “Baahhh!” The attack came off to fast. Gray jumped to the side but it turned and followed him.
“Boom!” It exploded sedning him flying back. “Bzzt bzzt.” Standing on shaking legs, Gray found himself unable to move. He was paralyzed!
“Grr,” growling in frustration he focused his mind to flood his body with his aura. “Haaah!”
“Wooosh!” A blast of aura burst surrounding the area in dust. “Fwwwish!” In an instant, a tornado of flame was released. Then a second one with electricity. “Fwwwwish!” Sand and debris spun around towards the center and detonated.
“Kaaaboom!” The collision was more loud than powerful. Both had sent a Firespin out. “Fwap, fwap,” A beating of a pair of wings cleared the air. Gray had used Whirlwind to clear the area. Gathering his aura and that of the surroundings he fired a blast of amplified psychic energy. A ray of light shot forward. It was the dreaded Confuse Ray!
“Fire Blast!” Ash yelled cocking his head back then slinging it forward. A fresh ball of fire coming out. “Ugghh what was I doing?” Ash was left open to Gray’s move as he became confused. He touched his chest in wonder. “When did this happen?”
“Teleport!” Appearing up above in the sky he then pt out both hands above his head. The sun-blocking him from sight. ‘Dark Flame Burst!’ the power amplified by the scorching sun. The ball floating for a little before Gray did a front flip double kick into it.
“Boom!” The ball fired off twice as fast but lost a little power.
‘Recover!’ Using that as a opourtinty he recovered fully. ‘Ok, time to kick up some. Empress let loose your power.’
“Whew that is smarts!” Ash took a breath and stood up right as the attack came down.

“Ash lookout!” Brock yelled. He forgot as a referee was suppose to be neutral. From the side, Jun gave him a glare. “Hehehe sorry.”
“You will be.” June sneered before looking back at the fight. Daisy next to him explained to referee trainees why that was a no-no.
Seeing the ball thanks to Brock, Ash willed his wings out and blocked it. “Thump!” The force only offsetting his balance slightly. “Shhh,” the fire was wild and sputtering out. Pushing his hand together it was destroyed and fizzled out completely.
“You are going to have to do better than that.” Ash smirked. He felt the energy above grow. “What is that?”
“Wooom, woom, woom.” Three pulses of power went out. First a little fire aura. It was nothing. Then a wave of psychic energy. It was dangerous and almost malovent. The third was a dark aura. Pure power.
Gray’s wings came out along with the Darkrai shawl extending out. His features turning more like a Pokemon.
With a thought, his Teleport activated instantly. “Swoosh,” he appeared behind Ash. Claws dripping with unconquerable aura. Pressing his fingers into a point together, he stabbed out.
“Splrt!” Going right through their back, his hand found Ash’s heart and pulled at it in one fluid motion.
“Kuff!” Ash stumbled coughing up some blood. His aura working towards healing him. “Guuhhh,” he groaned as his focus was split. Pikachu doing everything it could to provide aura energy. Charizard maintaining the fusion as best it could without its heart.
“Constrict!” Gray jumped on his back. Legs digging in the back of Ash’s thighs. Toed claws digging in. His clawed hands grabbed the shoulders. “Dark Claw!” Grays’s hands grew in size as the claws dug deeper inside.
“Stop the match!” A trainer yelled.
“There is no reason to,” Sabrina said. “Both parties agreed to the battle. Only way it ends, if both agree. That will not happen.”
“This is what Elite battles are about. Pushing further past your limits and sense of morality.” June added. She was excited but hoped Gray would not kill Ash for some reason. “Pokemon and trainer growing to greater heights togethor. You have to ask yourself if you can stand with your partner all the way to the end.”
“Stay where you are!” Sabrina said to a few trainers that stepped forward. Psychic power rolling off her. “Regular trainers should stay in there lane. I am authorized to kill you.”
“What!?”
“The elite league are allowed to defend there members from regular trainers interfering in sanctioned matches. However only if hostile forces are trying to interact.” Brock said stoically. “This battle is already over though.”
“Rah!” With a grunt and a pull, Gray ripped a large chunk of aura out of Ash. It was the blessing of Genesect. Crushing it, the power turned into raw aura he absorbed. The heart was placed in his inventory during the explosion of aura energy. “Hmph, your life is your boy.”
“The winner is Gray!” Brock yelled before Gray changed his mind.
“Ash!” Misty darted over.
“You spared the boy, why?” Daisy asked
“Heh,” Gray chuckled. To keep a problem from arising.” Gray relaxed and walked to the sidelines by June. “Ready to go?”
“Yes. Come on Sabrina!”
“Ah yes right.” Sabrina grabbed ahold right on time.
“Swoosh,” they were gone.
“Ah, Gray exhaled leaning against the wall tossing the heart into his mouth. “Gulp,” the Pokesoul state still mainting till the heart broke down. The memories of Charizard giving him all sorts of info. The most were about a Groudon sighting. It was in the Orange Islands, however. “I need to make a trip to the Orange islands.”
“What for?” June asked.
“To meet my brother.”
“Your brother. Guess we can travel again later,” Sabrina said. As if spooked by something she made an excuse to leave. “I will see you two another time!”
“Has she lost it?” June said. “I will talk to her later.” She watched where the woman was just recent until she felt Gray pull her down. “Waahh you ok?”
“Just glad you are ok. Stay right here.” Gray wrapped her up. In a few moments, he passed out. ‘You have been ignoring me.’ He sent out mentally.
“He went to sleep. Oh well.” June said leaning into him. She grabbed her Pokegear and started messaging Sabrina. ‘I wonder what Gray’s brother is like?’
‘Depends on the brother. I am going to step out for a bit.’ Chroma said before leaving.
‘Ah ok. Be careful. Ahhh’ June felt the aura enter her from Gray. It was some of the power from Genesect. He was planning on giving some to Sabrina but she left to quickly. She turned to look at Gray’s sleeping face. ‘I dont wont to leave your side. But my sister.. my sister needs me. Just a few more days.’
‘Hah, at least we have some power to add to the sleeping one.’ Giratina said. Yvetal just watched in wonder as the energy descended.
