-A few hours later-
Gray was waiting by the turbine when the others came out. He talked a little with Captain Surge and Tricia. He could tell Tricia wanted to talk about other things but she didnt with her mom so close by. The conversation changed when a man and a Raichu on a boogey board floated over in the water.
It was Lt.Surge. He jumped out of the water and did a flip. “Flop!” He landed right next to Gray and sized him up. Suprisingly someone else decided to arrive at that time.
“Fwoosh!” Sabrina appeared right behind Gray.
“Ha ha your the boy my girls are smitten with?” Lt.Surge stared at Gray. “You seem weak to me. Hilda said you were powerful. Cant see where however.” To Gray, this seemed like more of the personality of Lt.Surge from the comic books. Looking at the tall man built like linebacker, Gray thought about fighting him.
“What the hell is your problem?” Gray felt his hackles rise, as the Arcanine blessing went damn near nuclear. It did not like this affront to his strength. Especially when it was unprovoked. “Get bent before you get killed in front of your family old man.” Gray practically snarled. “Captain Surge, you better reel your husband in.”
“Hehe, he is always like this Gray.” Sabrina chuckled.
“Oh the boy has got bite?” Lt.Surge taunted. Arcs of electricity dancing around him. He was about to mess with Gray again, till someone grabbed his ear. “Ow..ow..ow stop.”
“Stop causing problems. This young man is not to be trifled with. He will kill you in an Elite Battle if you are careless. Call me Mrs.Surge out of the Gym Gray.” Mrs.Surge said. She switched over from her commanding Captain Surge persona quickly. “Now apologize at once!”
“Yes dear.” Lt Surge said. His eyes looked defeated at the yelling. “Sorry kid.” His wife shook him a little. “I mean young man.”
“Hmm. Apology accepted.” Gray reigned in his aura. He looked over to Mrs.Surge and gave her a warm smile. “Your alright. Anyway, I am out of here.”
“Wait. Dont you want to battle?” Lt.Surge asked.
“You have taken that Zapdos in as a Median. I can feel its energy coming off you. I may have control for now, but that does not mean I have enough to not lose it in battle. I am going to pass.” Gray then pushed his aura to his feet and ran out of the place. Sabrina felt she may have missed something and decided to stay to talk for a bit with Lt.Surge.
“Ohh darn it Gray.” Tricia said. She stomped the ground frustrated. “He could have at least talked for a little while.”
“Daughter are you stupid?” Mrs.Surge walked over to her. “Listen, you did something he was not ok with. That will put a strain on your friendship.”
“Because I slept with another guy?” Tricia looked at her mom a little worried.
“Huh really?!” Tricia asked tearfully. Her mother nodded in approval. “Thanks mom!” Hugging her mom, she didn’t want to believe it. Her approval was something she always wanted. “I will make you proud I promise.”
“You already make us proud.” Lt.Surge said. “It is hard getting use to you so active now. First the Pokemon Ranger’s was so nerve wracking. Now your going to be an Elite Trainer. I swear you are trying to give your old man a heart attack here.”
“Bzztt, bzzt!” Raichu to the side nodded agreeing. Bolts of power coming from it’s cheek.
“So what all happened?” Sabrina asked. Talking to them each she was quite suprised about what happened. As well as Gray not going berserk. She made note to talk with about it later. After catching up she gave Lt.Surge a yellow Pokeball. “Here, it is best I give this back to you.”
“Huh, no way. I thought the League confiscated this in the raid.” Lt.Surge grabbed the pokeball and held it with care. Looking back at Sabrina his smile grew even bigger. “Thank you a lot. If you would have gave them this, I bet it would have helped with your public view.”
“Heh no way.” Sabrina said. “You told me it was important so I kept it safe. What is inside anyway?”
“Here release it and see.” Lt.Surge gave it back to her. after he ran something over the lock mechanism. “The Pokemon inside has been in stasis the entire time. Which was good since it was injured. If you would have forced it open the ball would have been destroyed anyway. I dont it would have remained nearby. It is known for running pretty fast.”
“Hmm ok.” Sabrina released the ball and was surprised at the Pokemon.
“Poof!” Out popped smoke that turned into a little dark fox. It was a Zorua. The Pokemon’s fur was darker than the usual type and it had yellow instead of red tuffs of fur. It looked around and jumped onto Sabrina. She was the only Aria it recognized.
“Mama!” Zorua yelled. Its aura melded with Sabrina and it fell asleep instantly.
“Ehhhh.. ehhh!!” Sabrina stood dazed for a bit.
“It was suppose to be a gift all those years ago.” Lt.Surge smiled. “Dont worry that pokeball was really special. It was unharmed inside it. Trust me, even a bomb couldnt damage the thing. Take good care of it Sabrina.”
-Over with Gray-
“Huh why did he send me this?” Gray looked as message from Professor Oak. Onside was an attachment for e-tickets. Reading he sped up furthur and teleported to the Pokemon center. His Poke.on needs a little rest after they fought in the power plant. Well not Darkrai. She continued to play around in his hair. Reading the message again, he sent word to Sabrina about taking a trip to earn some goodwill and cash.
Professor. Oak: Go to the St.Anne II and meet my colleague. He has information that you may want specifically. Attached also, are a few jobs that I would like you to take care of. These Pokemon have caused major problems in the region and help is sorely needed. The Johnto region was hit by a major thunderstorm. Several Elite Trainers have been dispatched to get the area back under control. Kanto is currently at close Green, so please help them as best you can.
Sincerely, Professor Sammuel Oak Department of Elite Trainer Affairs & Assignments)
‘Hmm it should be a good way to increase my strength. I can take out a few Gyms for the experience and teleport back to deal with the gym here. In fact.. I think I will ask Sabrina to teleport us both to Saffron City and Neo Celdaon City. That way I can just pop in to battle the Gym Leaders later.’ Heading to the bathroom to clean up, Gray stopped in front the mirror.
His hands moved across his body where scars use to be. Slowly images appeared in his surroundings. Different people all looked to be the age as himself. One thing in common they shared, each had a pair of wings. With a shake of his head all was normal again.
“Haaa need to get some food made. No sense stressing over things.” Taking a quick shower he started to prep some food and read a few articles on Pokemon care. A particular topic caught his eye on grooming. Studying it intently he figure a little maintenance in s few days wouldnt be so bad. “Hah they do walk around a lot. I really dont want to image what’s in between the paws of Growlithe and Midnight.”
“Fwoosh!” Gray was lost to his reading and barely noticed when Sabrina came into his room.Looking up he saw the fox and weird look on her face.
“Noce little Pokemon you have there. Mayne it will help with keeping your Fennekin company.” Gray stopped
reading the article and went to make a few plates for Savrina and her Pokemon. “Have you eaten yet?:
“Eh no… thanks for the offer.” Sabrina released her Pokemon and started eating very slowly. “A baby pokemon…hah what to do?”
Gray looked the Pokemon over and could tell it really was not a baby. It was relatively old just not mentally developed maybe??
“Sabrina… it will be fine. You have raised Pokemon before so it will be ok.” Gray moved his Pokegear over the Pokemo. and watched as the information popped up. “Well that is intresting.”
(Zorua: Level 5 Gender: Female Ability: Rapid Growth)
“What is it?” Sabrina asked.
“She is the same as Empress. Well Empress alone is from additional reason, but the Pokemon will grow fast as long as you battle at let her out to play. So the same as Poke.on really.” Gray smiled and turned to clean up. “I will help with whatever I can.”
“Thank you.” Sabrina released her other Pokemon once the food cooled down. As soon as she did, they went after the food with gusto. “Slow down before you get sick.” Slouching a little in the chair she was slightly worried. She felt Gray tap at her mind. ‘Yeah?’
‘Follow long as I talk with Fennekon about something.’ Gray then added Fennekin to the link. ‘Ok that little Pokemon might need to be messed with a little. This is going based off what I know about this particular type. If we can get it intrested in something a little bit and make it think their is only one, it might act out a little.’
‘Hmmm I am gonna take its food then. I can hear its little stomach rumbling.’ Fennekin ears twitched a little. ‘I am pretty sure the other hear it as well.’
‘If this doesnt work, I will take it to a nurse Joy and see about making sure everything is ok mentally. It was inside a pokeball for a very long time.’ Sabrina thought to the other two.She thought about waking Ori up, but thought it better to let her sleep. ‘We just need to they a few different methods.’
‘Alright Fennekin, pretend you just noticed it after eating a good bit.’ Gray though to it.
‘You got it. Oh I want a reward for this.’Fennekin thought before the link broke.
‘Hmmm they are up to something.’ Growlithe thought to itself. Finishing his meal he felt a little sleepy. “Arr.” Yawning he started to snooze.
“Right right.” Fennekin said. “Eh!” It stopped dry and turned to see the little Pokemon in Sabrina’s arms. “Who is that!?” Fennekin asked with a high pitched voice.
“Oh this is Zorua. A gift from an old friend I met today.” Sabrina wanted to put the Pokemon down, but its claws were dug deep into her coat sleeve. “Haaa she is a little timid and asleep.I wish she would wake up to eat already.”
“Doki, doki.” Sabri nudged it a little. No dice as the Pokemon just continued to feign sleep. “Fwoosh!” Fennekin teleported onto the table. She reached out and grabbed Zorua by the face.
“Looks lazy. Time to eat or your gonna be hungry later.” Grabbing its cheeks, Fennekin gave a light tug. She pulled twice before letting go. “Ehh really lazy. Oh well, more for me.” She turned around and picked up the other plate. In the corner of her eye she looked at Zorua. “Mmm smells even better than my batch. Gonna enjoy eating this limited edition meal.”
“Hehe.” Empress was on the bed eating with the Vulpix’s and Taillow’s. ‘The little pokemon is in for a rude awakening if it stays timid. My inner nature wont let her remain near if so.’ She thought to the others before going back to eating.
The Vulpix’s ate their food a little faster. They didnt say much since they didnt like how the Pokemon was pretending to sleep.
“Hey Fennekin,” Gray said getting its attention. “Since you enjoy the meal so much, I will let you try this different version I made. Just enough for one other person to sample. It is a little spicy though.”
“Oh thanks.” Fennekin walked over to grab the plate.
“Fwoosh!” A dark blur shot past grabbing the plate. It landed by the window sill holding the plate in its mouth.
“This one is mine!” Zorua projected with her aura.
“Oh yeah?” Fennekin looked at the Pokemon and gathered its psychic power. ” If you dont hurry, I will snatch it and eat in front of you.”
“Ehh!” Seeing Fennekin walk closer, Zorua put the plate down and started eating. “Yum, yum!”
“Hahaa that was something.” Gray laughed. He threw a poke block to Fennekin before walking to Empress. Eye turning over as his aura hit out in the room. “I have a suprise for you, just a little longer till it is ready ok?”
“Swish!” Empress tail wrapped around Gray’s arm. She smiled and opened her big eyes wide. She gave him a nod before letting go. The crescent moon on her forehead glowed a little.
“Just a few more intense battles and increase in my aura.” Gray voice returned to normal as he picked up one of the Taillow. “Ok I am starting with you since you finished. Do not worry. it is nothing bad.” Gray wanted to comfort the Pokemon before he started to tun his hands through its feathers.
“Taillow, coo.” Ok doke. The Taillow relaxed. Gray’s aura covered hands slowly went through its wings. Checking for any feathers that were close to coming out from battle. Finding two were no problem. Applying a little pressure that were removed. He grabbed a little medicine from his bag, and lightly applied it. “Cooo, coo!” That’s good. The Taillow started to doze off. In minutes it was asleep content and happy.
“Haha well glad that went well. Just need to check its wingspan and feet.” Gray said for whoever was listening. Supringsly enough, the Taillow’s and Vulpix’s listened in intently. Empress had fallen asleep with a smile on her face.
“Hup!” Fennekin hopped up to the bed near Gray. She held her paws out and mimicked his movements. “Is it like this?”
“Yes. Just a little aura while you brush the sides. careful of your nails.” Gray said. He watched as Fennekin used a little more aura and turned into a human hand. “Oh?”
“Woom, woom!” Pyschic energy went out mixed with more aura. In a dull flash, Fennekin turned into a teenage girl. Fur covered most of her body.
“I did it Sabrina!” Fennekin ran and tackled Sabrina. “Look look!” Her tail however was still present and wagged with increasing speed.
“Haha good job. Calm down ok. Your energy is going through the roof!” Sabrina did her best to get Fenekin to calm down. It didnt work as the Pokemon started to get more excitied from Sabrina petting it. ‘Uh oh.’
“Ruff!” Growlithe let out a bark and Fennekin passed out. He walked over and bit her arm. The mark healed instantly. Walking back to its sleeping spot, Growlithe wagged his tail happily.
“Umm thanks.” Sabrina said. “This has been a very tiring day.”
“Oh has it?” Gray asked turning to look at her. She gave him a nod. “Tell me about it while I work.”
“Ehh its just gripes and groans. Nothing major.” Sabrina smiled weakly.
“So? I want to know about it.” Gray said as he checked another Taillow’s wing. It was actually bruised, no doubt from attacking to much with Wing Attack. “That is why it is called venting.”
Sabrina stared at him for a bit. With Fennekin out cold on her lap, She didnt want to leave anyway. She talk for a few hours about the people who contacted her to yell at her for team Rocket stuff. How they received her contact I formation she would never know. Gray told her to pass it on to the authorities as well as let the Elite League know. That way , her bases were covered if they attacked her and were dealt with accordingly.
Gray was suprised more and more how the Poke.on World was closer to its comic book adaptations with people being more aggressive and Pokemon more dangerous. Fidnt help with the corruption energy going around.
She also spoke how Saffron City was turning into a hotspot again. With both gyms in the city generating more challengers by the day. Sabrina took pride in her home town and was happy it was flourishing with or without her leading it.
Gray told the cirlty would have turn I to a pure team Rocket hangout with out her. If she would have ran away with her family, then Team Rocket would have easily taken control with how weak the Fighting Gym and Silph Co. people were.
She save the most troubling part for last however.
“Well have you thought about coming with me to Lavendar town right quick? Underneath is a Mausoleum that needs to be dealt with. Does not help a Mystery Dungeon opened beneath the place. It is seeping with aura that has caused Pokemon to turned more.. sinister. My grandpa wants me to go take care of it.”
“Hmm how long till it needs to be done?” Gray asked. He wanted to help, but he already had prior obligations as of earlier.
“The dungeon entrance will open up in another 2 month’s. But the tower pokemon might start to act out. The local trainers should be able to handle it for a little longer till I arrive. But..” Sabrina felt Gray was not going to help her. As the lingering feel from the aura he released earlier and the tone of his voice reminded her he had a bigger job going on. She felt a little sad but it was understandable. “..the closer it starts to open, the more dangerous it will become.”
“I see. Well best of luck with it.” Gray said. He finished up with the last Taillow and was about to start with The Vulpix’s. “I have to go to the St.Anne II and check on some other areas. Even speeding up, it will take me close to a month at the latest to come help. Sorry, if I knew earlier it would have been easier to coordinate.”
“So you will come help in a month!?” Sabrina asked a little schocked.
“Huh yeah. It will take longer since the original time table had me and you doing the jobs. With just me it will be a little harder.” Gray walked to the middle I fridge to get a drink. “But with Mary the Miltank by your side, I am sure regular Pokemon in the tower will get floored. The ghost type will be a problem for her.”
Sabrina just shook her head no. “Nope, Mary has a way to deal with Ghost type she said. There is no Pokemon she cant deal with. In fact she is really raring to go. Glad she tired herself out training today.” Sabrina checked her messages and she a response to her grandfather right quick. She was suprised he sent a message back. “Eh!?”
“What is it?” Gray asked walking over to her.
“Grandpa was able to get ahold of another Elite Trainer to help. He said I can take my time coming over to help.” Sabrina smiled brightly. “That means I can defintely come help you for a bit. That faster you get done, the faster you can help me.”
“That’s great. We are heading to the St.Anne II in the morning. Unless you have enough energy to shoot to Lavendar town, Saffron, and Celadon city right quick?” Gray asked.
“Hmm we can do that first thing. Then head to the ship. That way, it will be easier just in case something happens and I have to come back ahead of time.” Sabrina agreed. She looked at the time and noticed it was way to late to keep talking. “I need to head to my room.” She returned her Pokemon and looked at Gray.
“Well if you want to stay the night, I do not mind.” Gray gave her a smirk. Since the grromi g and the talking went on to long he would do the others later. “I do not promise to behave at all.”
“Thats.. no! Another time!” Sabrina face turned a light pink as she teleported out.
“Fwoosh!” She did not even stay to check the time to leave.
“Beep, beep!” Gray’s poke gear went off. A message from Sabrina asking what time they would leave. Gray responded before moving to the living room and relaxing on the couch. He decided to send a gift to a few people. Voltorb’s Koffing’s and Magnemite’s he caught in the power plant. The really abused one’s. he sent to the “Dungeon” that he had access to.
Empress floated over and sat next to him. Her tail wrapped around his arm as she fell asleep again. She did not let go.
“Haa, sleep time.” Gray leaned back and was about to sleep. But a guest arrived. “What is it Ori?”
“Nothing.. just want to spend a little time with you.” Ori said. She was in her human form. The resemblance to Juniper was still something extraordinary. “May I sit with you?” Gray gave her a nod.
“Comfy?” Gray asked. His eyes were closed.
“Yes. I want you to tell me a story.” Ori said softly. “And not as Gray.”
“Oh than as who then?” Gray had a small smile on his lips.
“Tell as the full you.” Ori’s voice changed just a little. Her voice was laced with a little aura power. “Please.. Lucfiel.”
“Haa very well. You always did like stories Gabriel.” Leaning back he thought of the story of Cinderella. The actual Grim Fairy Tail version. Speaking softly he was only half way, when she fell asleep.
-Across the way in the Orange Islands-
No one was around but Lance of the Pokemon League. But right now he was acting as an agent of Arceus collecting ways to gain more power for it.
“Haaa Lord Arceus will be pleased about this.” Lance held the rock in his hand. It shined with prismatic colors. “Ughh!” He coughed a little blood and had to put the rock away. The energy inside was rejected by his Pokesoul. “What is the meaning of this? You grown restless since the Viridian Forest incident.”
“Fwish!” Instantly a green orb left his body. It took the form of man that resembled a warrior of old. Green scaled armor with a moringstar on its hip made that made for a very dominating presence. Gold rings were on the left side its face in a downward pattern.
“Rayquaza, why so angry?”
“You were a fine warrior before you became involved with these.. cult memebers.” Rayquaza looked angry. The gold rings on its face lit up just thinking about it. “I ask you again, return to your old ways. Discard the views of the “Pretender” Arceus and all will be as it were.”
“No.” Lance said shaking his head. “Lord Arceus is a god and through him, I will have everything I lost back again.” Lance gripped his chain tightly. Hanging was a locket and a sphere with a Dragonite inside. “I have made my choice!” He said with conviction.
“I have made mine as well.” Rayquaza stretched out his arm and took the power he bestowed on Lance back. With the man’s current weaken state it was easy. “Good luck, I am sorry for your loss. But you are going on a path I can not condone.”
“Woom!” Rayquaza jumped into the air reverting back to its Pokemon form. The large green dragon flew off into the clouds blocking it from sight. It kept going straight up into the upper atmosphere. Where it was headed only it knew.
“Damn you!” Lance punched the wall weakened but fueled by rage. “After all we have been through!”
“Crack!” The small area he punched gave way a little more. A small spider crack spread and caused the side to start crumbling even more. “Crack!” Lance crawled away just in time and released his Aerodactyl. It lifted him out the way as the whole cliff broke apart.
“Fwap, fwap!” Wings flapping powerfully as it held Lance in the air.
“No way!” Lance exclaimed Looking at the mountain covered in the rock. “This will set us up and make sure Lord Arceus will be done.”

“Caw!” A birds cry came from out of the air. Lance looked head to see a Ho-Oh coming their way. It was defintely angry since he knew this was its nesting grounds.
“Damn it!” Lance cursed. “Take me for a quick dive into the remaing caverns. I need to get a bigger piece before we leave.”
“Raaa!” Aerodactyl agreed. They dive down to an opening. However Ho-Oh would not let them go that easily.
“Trespassers you will pay for damaging my domain!” Ho-Oh’s beak glowed in pink light. It rammed into Aerdactyl and Lance.
“Aaahh!” Lance screamed as he watched his Pokemon back cut open. ‘Not another one!’ Lance’s thoughts went to the last time he lost a Pokemon. it was his fault just like now. ‘I have to be stronger! I wont loose another one. Lord Arceus help me!’
“Bam!” Lance back hit the ground and knocked him out.
“Rooo!” Aerodactyl turned towards Ho-Oh, angry. It body started to glow as the prismatic rock energy poured into it. “Crooo!”
“Beem!” it fired a multi colored Hyper Beam at Ho-Oh.
“Foolish. I will show you the limit of your power.” Ho-Oh declared angrily. Its wings spread as it gather the sun light. “Ancient Power!” It declared. A bright light shined across the area.
-Not to far away on an adjacent island.-
A few women were rocking back an forth trying to keep a firm hold on. The waters had turned hectic out of nowhere.
“Waaah!” Misty yelled on the boat. “What the hell is going on!?” She turned Howard’s a her blue haired friend. It was Dawn.
“How should I know. This will destroy the boat! Turn us around May!” Dawn yelled.
“Got it!” May turned the helm and fought to keep control. “This is getting worse by the second. You should get safe below deck.”
“No way mama! I am staying with you.” Her little Torchis said. He hopped onto her shoulder and did his best to look for calmer waters. He spotted a small calm to the left. “Go that way!”
“Alright! Hang on tight everyone!” May yelled.
“Crooon!” The ship let out a struggle as it turned. The rudder almost gave way but held strong enough. The ship sailed through the opening. “Snap!” Something gave way as it coasted on its momentum going adrift.
“Huh.. we entered.. a Dungeon.” Misty said. She was the first to notice the change in the air. “I have a bad feeling about this.”
“Haa we are not going anywhere. The ship needs repairs.” May walked over exhausted. “Anyway heard from downstairs?”
“Nope.” Dawn said. “Haa I will go check. Hopefully Iris didnt cause to much of a problem. ”
“Clack, clack.” Someone walked with heels in a ship. Either they were that confidant or unbelievably stupid. The young dragon expert was the one in heels. Despite the years, her small frame did not really change much.
“I did nothing wrong!” Iris said. “I am not a little kid geezer. Need I remind you, out all of us I am the only one who became a Pokemon Champion.”
“Uh huh that’s nice.” Dawn waved her hand at her.
“Everything is fine below.” Iris said looking away. “He also refused to stay in bed. In fact, he is right behind me.”
“Damn it Gary!” Misty said. “You have to go back and rest. If it was not for them tou would have died already.”
“My time is almost up anyway as soon as I hand this over I will collapse.” Gary held a dragon scale. It was Grey scale that held a lot of power. It was keeping death at bay. “I just need to deliver this and a message, everything will be alright.”
“Not if you dont rest.” Dawn walked over and hit him in the back of the neck knocking him out. “I swear you are gonna die from exhaustion. Despite what that scale does.”
“Waaah.” Gary’s eyes turned to swirls. She dragged him down, back below deck.
“I know this place…” Misty said. “This is the one I came to all those years ago. Ughh this will not go well.”
“Why is that?” Iris asked. “Did you destroy a bunch of stuff, or steal a relic?”
“I wish.” Misty said. “I was their Goddess. I am not ready to deal with this nonsense right now.” She rubbed her temples upset. “But we can get repairs and leave really quickly.” Mosty spread her aura over the water. Immediately several Lapras pushed the ship furthur to safe shores.
“At least something good is happening.” May said. “Oh she is singing again.”
Down below, Dawn was singing a hymn.
‘Ha, I need to tell Gray about this. Dawn is definitely someone he is looking for. But messages have acting strangely since I left Neo Cerulean city. What could be going on?’ Misty was deep in thought. She didnt catch how Iris was looking at her.
‘I really hope she doesnt join that guy Gray’s group. Why did Lance ask me to keep tabs on her?’ Iris said thought. ‘Does not matter, I will do only what I have to as a League Representative. Misty is my friend, I wont cause trouble for her.’ Making up her mind, Iris thought about how Misty said she was treated like a Goddess here. “Why did they treat you like a Goddess exactly?”
“Because the locals cant use aura like we can. I was able to do it with ease.” Misty raised her hand out toward the water. Slowly a bridge parted in the sea. “See, not a problem.”
