An adult in Pokemon - Chapter 83 Training with the Poke's! Not Edited
-Training-
The next day in the afternoon was training time. Gray had fo finish another round at the hospital as well as a short walk along the place. Standard checkup for previous patients. The bubbles proved the most valuable to bounce ideas off. It pulled any knowledge from his head that he was unsure about.
After finishing, he was outside doing training with his Pokemon.
“Alright, try the barrel roll right as the attack comes. But remember to break fast enough to continue your assault.” Gray ordered to Pyron (Pidgeotto) and Bedrill. Crocknaw (Godzilla) and Growlithe continued to apply pressure firing away.
Each movement turned more and more fluid as they did so. The Pokemon that fired could also feel their accuracy also increased. This carried on for another hour.
The training was watched by a Snivy in the area. The Pokemon had heard of the human Gray the first day he arrived. It also heard he was looking for a powerful Grass Pokemon.
It decided to wait till after to fine a good time to challenge Gray to a battle.
-After a late Lunch-
Canion was sleeping away happily. Basking in the sun as it slowly build power up. Midnight (Umbreon ) was with Sabrina’s Espeon resting.
“So.. Gray,” Sabrina called out to him. Gray continued to put up the dishes but signaled he was listening. “Do you think everything will be ok with the others?”
“I do not know. Messages are coming but they are late. I have not received anything from my higher ups. So it is not at a critical state I suppose.” Gray was referring to the bubbles. “If you are worried reach out to someone you trust and check it out. I believe they have the strength to weather through whatever is going on.”
“Guess your right. But it does not hurt to double check.” Sabrina sent a few messages out. She watched Gray do the same. “Thanks for that. Just have a bad feeling is all. Call it whatever you want but I am usually right.”
“That sounds ominous.” Gray closed his Pokegear turning to his Pokemon. They started getting up and moved over to him. “Food digested?”
“Yup!” Growlithe said.
“Hmm ready every one?” Gray asked his other Pokemon. They gave him a nod that they were. The others in his team decided to stick around and watch. Silver and Clair were the most pumped up for it. “Pokesoul.” Gray said calmly.
“Bzzzzzzttt!” Electricity burst free from Gray’s body. The very air electrified and gave him more power. The silhouette of Jolteon appeared for a second.
“Babump! Bapump!” Gray’s heart gave to hard beats as the aura washed out. The light disappeared revealing the transformation. However, it was a Beast Out.
“Grrrr!” Gray growled as he was on all fours. He looked like a very large Jolteon. The spiky fur that the Pokemon would usually have fluctuated between stiff and loose. Every time a spark would pass, the fur would harden up.
The paws looked powerful and tough. On closer look, the makings of fingers could be seen. Each paw the size of a humans head. The only other human quality besides the look of intelligence in the eyes, happen when he stood up. The eyes were a dark golden and contained Pride that bordered on pure Arrogance.
“Grrr.” Feeling personally challenged, Growlithe growled back. “Bah!” A large amount of fire shot out of its mouth. It had used Flamethrower off the bat.
“Bzzt!” A current of electricity formed in front of Gray. The shape of a pyramid almost. The flames were dissipated upon contact.
“Go!” Growlithe ordered Godzilla. The Crocknaw shot off and jumped onto the pyramid. Jaws glowing in aura power.
Opening wide, it snapped down biting down into a portion of the Pyramid. It had used Thunder Crunch. Hoping to destabilize the field.
“You electrical charge is not strong enough.” Gray said plainly. It came out gruff and more of a growl then anything. Godzilla kept biting down. Its feet pushing down as it then started to pull. “Humph!” Gray gave a snort.
“Bzzzzt!” Electricity went out directly at Godzilla. Gray hit him with a super charged Thunder Wave.
“Yeow!” Godzilla howled when it hit. “I.. I am paralyzed!?”
“Correct. Different electrical charges have adverse effects. Even electric pokemon can fall under this problem.” Gray turned around as Bedrill had zipped over. “Pah!” Firing a bolt of electricity caused the bug Pokemon to dodge for safety.
“Boom!” The bolt smashed into a tree causing it to explode.
“Woosh!” Midnight had run over from the opening the bolt traveled through. Using Quick Attack to deliver a blow quickly to disrupt Gray.
“Bam!” He rammed right into Gray’s head. Landing on the ground, Midnight fired a Shadow Ball.
“Pah!” The dark sphere missed as Gray ducked low. “Boom!” The pyramid crumbled from the inside.
“Fwish!” Pyron wings lit up as used Wing Attack. Cutting through the dust, it hit Gray in the back.
“Bzzt!” A small spark lit up at the contact area.
“Pull back and try long range!” Growlithe ordered. It turned to look at Titan nefore charging in. “Read the situation then proceed as needed with Tyrunt.” Titan nodded in understanding. “Bedrill with me. Hit him high while I come in low. Pyron support Godzilla.”
“Ok!” Bedrill flew up high and burst with power. It let loose several sets of needles as it used Poison Sting.
Growlithe split into three of itself. It had used the move Double Team. Each copy opened its mouth and fire out Fire. It used Fire Spin to trap Gray on a vortex.
“Woosh!” Midnight faded out of the area before the attack landed. The ring’s on its body glowing signaling a to Growlithe.
“Bree!” Using a large portion of its aura, it fired out a Dark Pulse covered in flames.
As the vortex in closed on Gray, the Poison Sting built up in volume. Godzilla recovered and started ti gather power for its attack. Pyron lifted him into the air above the vortex by Bedrill.
Titan turned to Tyrunt. The two shared a nod before getting ready.
“Bzzzzzt!” Gray let loose a dome of electricity. He used the move Discharge. The vortex was knocked away as well as the Dark Pulse.
With the area conpletlely clear, Gray was riddled with several needles. Dripping with poison, he pushed them out of his body with ease.
“Vrrm!” A vibration rang out. Instantly Gray was back to normal. But his aura had diminished some. Thay is when the others attacked.
Godzilla came down releasing its power. At first Gray thought it was using a water move. But he was suprised when ice appeared around the pokemon. Godzilla had then spun like a buzzsaw. A trail of ice following behind the air.
“Hmm?” Gray jumped out of the way. Eyes trained as the Pokemon came back around like a boomerang. ‘The honing ability of Aqua Jet as the base with Ice Fang mixed with Discharge maybe?’ He would figure it out later.
Tyrunt and Titan fired their attacks next. Tryunt had used Solar Beam along with Titan. As both beams reached Gray, Growlithe let loose a Fire Blast.
“Raaaawwwrr!” Gray released a blast of aura powermixed with psychic energy. Using the move Confusion Ray, he targeted Godzilla then Bedrill. ‘This should change the dynamics. Wait.. where are the copies of Growlithe?’
“Roooo!” The copies had used Extreme Speed to get close and used the move Roar at the same time. As the effect bore down on Gray, a hint of anger burned inside of him.
“Grrrrr.” The Jolteon poke soul was extremely insulted that they tried to make him flee. “Arroooo!” Gray let loose a howl that summoned several bolts of Lighting from the once clear skies.
“Bzzzt!” Each Pokemon fighting him were hit all at once. The pokesoul was was force to rescind as well.
“Well that sucked.” Gray rubbed the back of his neck. Seeing the condition of his Pokemon made him smile however. “At least I have a good feel on the learning each of you have done on your own. Coming out big worked in your favor since my battle style is that of endurance.”
“Grr, but we still lost from that outburst!” Growlithe said angry. It tried getting up but couldnt with the full paralyztion still on them all. “How much aura do you have left?”
“Enough to fight still.”
“Them this is not over!” Pyron cried. Despite his boast, his wings still wouldnt respond. “Come on already dood!”
From behind the treeline by the others, a pokemon shot out.
It was Snivy standing defiant in front of Gray.
“This is our battle!” Midnight declared. The others grumbling in agreement.
“Step aside.” Growlithe said. It stepped forward a little before falling forward. “Grrr damn it!”
“Eh, your training so it shouldnt matter.” Snivy said. “I will buy you all some time.”
“Woosh!” Snivy shot off towards Gray. Its tail glowing as it used Leaf Blade.
“Bam! Bam! Bam!” Blade met Psychic Palm. Gray was driven back a good bit.
Snivy sent its vines out while still striking with its tail. The vines wrap Gray up for just a moment. With a flex, Gray covered himself in flames.
‘Huh? It’s immune. Another weird Pokemon.’ Stopped stopped waste of energy. Kicking off the ground, he pulled Snivy with him.
“Vrrip!” Snivy retracted its vines from Gray. Wrapping them around a tree, it suprised Gray when landing.
“Crack!” The tree was uprooted with ease!
“Catch!” Snivy chucked the tree at Gray. Hidden from sight due to the size, it ran under the path of the tree.
“Nice power.” Gray grabbed the tree and teleported the tree back in place. “Oh?” Suprised by Snivy Gray moved away just in time as it did a backflip. The tail of Snivy glowing in power once again.
“Fwip!” Tail and palm clashed. Snivy then sprung off of Gray with a quick coil.
“Hah!” Gray extended his other palm and sent out a psychic burst. The attack slammed into Snivy. Sending it furthur back and doing significant damage.
Sliding across the ground the Pokemon recovered quickly. Snivy already went back on the offensive.
“Vrrm, vrmm!” The air hummed as Snivy curled in then struck again. The aura left from its tail as it used Energy Ball!
“Pat!” The force was stopped upon impact. It was to weak
Gray had stretched his hands out and caught it.
“Ugghh that is some power you got there. Thanks.” Squeezing it tight and disrupting its structure, Gray absorbed it into himself. His veins bulging with replenished power. “Urp!” He belched then recovered. “Well got anything left?”
“Ha.. ha.. ha.. no.” Snivy said out of breath.
“He wont need to.” Growlithe stared at Gray as its aura was ramped up. The others were ready to go all out as well. “Let’s do it!” Growlithe took off full speed covered in flames. Pyron flying right next to it covered as well.
Growlithe’s flame had turned completely white along with Pyron’s. The fire inside them had grown a lot from the fight.
Tucking in on it self, Growlithe used Flame Wheel. The ground scorched as it passed over it. “Bam!” He rammed directly into Gray’s chest knocking him back. Growlithe then bounced of Gray with a kick to the chest.
“Kuff!” Gray spat up spit as he centered himself. He didn’t get the chance to counter attack as Pyron came up. “Tch!” Gray sucked his teeth in frustration. He recieved the burn status from that last attack.
“Dood!” Pyron had used Brave Bird. All its power concentrated at the very front. Despite Gray moving back, he was still clipped on the side. Pyron banked down and came back around for another go.
“Raa!” Godzilla did a flip in the air launching an Aqua Ball at Gray. Midnight opened its mouth wide firing a Shadow Ball into the mix. The timing was slightly off and the two moves hit each other.
Expecting an explosion, Gray had turned to Bedrill to attack. “Vooom!” A sound of vibration sent him on high alert.
“Huh!?” Suprised, Gray felt a sense of dread behind him. The two moves had fused instead of exploding. The worse part was Tyrunt. It ran head first behind it. Head glowing in raw power. “Shit! You learn it now of all times!”
“Grrooo! Smash!” Tyrunt said its first human word.
“Boom!” With the added power from Tyrunt, the fused ball increased speed. Gray didnt dodge for fear of what it would do going into the distance.
“Bide! Protect!” Pulling in on himself, he felt his body recoil in pain. “Grrr!” Through gritted teeth he endured.
“Woosh!” The fused ball hit him directly in the chest. Bulldozing him across the field.
“Crrrrck!” Both of Gray’s feet broke from the impact and the sliding. His heel’s cracking up to the kneecap as well. He was right to block it. Bunkering down through the pain, Gray pushed the next move Bulk Up. “Crack!” His body cracking all over from the forceful abuse.
“Hup!” With a toss, the ball sailed into the air to parts unknown. “Ahhh, Recover!” Nothing happened. “Oh crap.” Aura energy from the attack swirled around his body. ‘A new status effect!?’
“Bzzz!” Bedrill flew over and fired apoison sting. It then stabbed out. The power behind the strikes sent pressure waves at Gray. Tossing his body open and leaving him vulnerable to the poison sting attack.
“Haaaah!” With a defiant roar the needles were pushed away. Covering the immediate area in dust. “Guh!” Gray felt vastily weakened. I smile on his face from the strength of his Pokemon. Bedrill broke through continuing its assault.
“Schlick! Schlick!” Both stabs pierced Gray’s body. Bedrill had used Outrage!
“Huh?” Bedrill looked around confused. It’s aura diminished as it fluttered a little before fainting.
“Vrrrr!” Vines pulled it back sharply to remove the Pokemon from harms way. Snivy pulled it out of the way with Vine Whip.
“Huuumm!” The Bide had finished. Gray used all the stored energy to restore himself. His bones healed as well as the skin restoring. The front of his face no longer looking like a horror show.
“That was not pleasant. But all the energy did the trick.” Gray mumbled. A way to restore himself from his enemy attacks was always better than exhausting himself. “A little bit of recovered aura to. Not bad.” Thinking about the best way to use that in the future was a problem. ‘To vulnerable to different status effects with the use of Bide going on. It hard enough to use moves as it is. Cant ignore every rule of the move still.’
“Niddddoo..” Bathed in unbridled power, Titan (Nidorino) moved forward. It’s body lost the blinding light. It was no longer small as its body had changed. “..kkiinngg!” The Pokemon had evolved.
“Well now, that is intresting.” Gray smiled happily. “Alloeing him to wait till he was comfortable to use the stone was the best option.”
“Krooo, I need to fight. Must become stronger.” Titan smacked its arms togethor. It’s body bulging as it used Bulk Up. “Master Gray, make me stronger!” It’s tail smacking around dangerously behind it.
“Of course.” Gray’s voice came out in a dual tone. A few tuffs of black fire flickered around him. Deep inside, his Charizard poke soul stirred. Its eyes opened before closing again. It was not time still. “Mach Punch!” Instead of shooting off, Gray held himself in place. Building up pressure and power from restraining the move.
“Mega Punch!” Titan roared as it ran towards Gray. Its tail smacking against the ground creating holes at the tip. “Grrroo!” Giving a beastial battlecry as it swung.
“Bam!” The fists slammed into each other before pulling away. Titan used the move with its other arm, sending a Haymaker at Gray. “Fwip!” Gray ducked and stepped in. Oddly, his fist went towards Titan’s outer side.
“Grr!” Titan howled as it pushed at Gray’s arm. “No!” It was a feint using Double Team. The flimsy copy was easily destroyed. “To slow!” Titan growled out. He looked down right as Gray delivered an uppercut from down below.
“Bam!” The resounding hit was shallow. Height difference and Titan catching it at the last minute worked against Gray.
“Tough!” Gray said calmly. He jumped back to get some distance. Anazlying how long it took for Titan’s brain to recover. The Pokemon shook away the confusion. ‘9 seconds.. No. It just a little recovery. But with his high defense that is already saying something.”
“Alright, that is enough.” Sabrina declared. “You have pushed them twice already. Anymore and you risk injury.”
“Hmmm..” Gray scanned each of them for a moment. They could go a little more but, instincts were prevailing to let them rest. Growlithe was starting to burn to hot for his current level. “Gues it’s time for them to rest.”
Hand outstretched, Gray hit his Pokemon with an unbridled psychic wave. They were knocked out cold to prevent disputes. Returning them, he handed them over to Abigail to take care of. “I trust you can take care of them for me?”
“Of course!” Abigal smiled and took the Pokeballs. “I will have them back as soon as I can.”
“Thanks.” Gray walked over to Snivy and used a Potion on it. Seeing it just needed to sleep, he moved to a hammock. “Gonna take a nap.”
“Hmm.” Sabrina looked Gray over and found nothing wrong. She moved over to Clair and Crsytal who were both pumped up.Silver was writing down some notes from the battle. “You ladies wanna spar?”
“Oh yeah!” Crystal said excitied. Clair nodding in agreement. “Let’s do it!”
-Next Morning-
Gray went out for a stroll after morning stretches around the island. The others were to tired to join him. But he had the company of someone following in the trees.
Gray waited till he reached a dense area of trees before turning around. A small psychic message went out to alert who was following him.
‘Come out. We are alone.’ Out of a bush, Snivy slithered over. “Hello again.”
“Hello. You are a strange one, you know that?” Snivy asked rhetorically. Gray answered with a smile. “Humph your not as prideful as yesterday. The energy you give off is the same as when you first arrived.” Snivy walked over slowly staring Gray up and down judging him.
“Different attitudes for different situations. You need something?”
“Yes. A powerful trainer like you. But something tells me your road will be covered with blood and sorrow.” Snivy was five feet away from now. “I am the strongest grass Pokemon in this area. I have even defeated those who have type advantage against me.”
“I do not doubt that. Especially after battling you previously. But will you listen to orders is the big thing?” Gray squatted down to eye level. “I am quite heartless at times. And as you saw very hard on my pokemon.”
“I can take it!” Snivy stared intently. His aura building up. “Can you keep up with me is the question hmm?” He teased.
“Woah bro settle down.” Gray stifled a laugh at the little Pokemon. “Welcome to the team.”
“I am not your bro. I am Snivy!”
“It is a general term to describe someone.” Gray reached into his bag for a pokeball he crafted last night. “Where did I put that thing?” His thoughts started to wonder and also projected outward.
“Hmmm?” Snivy sent its vines into Gray’s bag and pulled out the ball case. “Here you go.”
“Thanks. How did you do that?” Gray looked at the Pokemon oddly.
“You showed me in my head. It was the same way that woman did.” Snivy moved around on its little feet bouncing around. “Her name is Sabrina I think.”
“Sounds about right. Here we go.” Gray enlarged a green Pokeball. This pokeball focused on growth and health. All gathered energy the more Gray walked with it. Which served to counteract the slow experience gain from the growth effect. Tapping it, Snivy was sucked inside. “Alrighty come back out.”
“Puah that place is a little to comfy.” Snivy shook a little. “You didnt give me a name?”
“It didnt seem like you wanted one? Do you?” Gray asked puzzled. The Pokemon personality just seemed to strong for a name change.
“Yes!”
“Ok. Well you are the strongest grass Pokemon here.. so how about prince or duke?”
“Ehh… Gray you know I am a female right?”
“Huh?” For a minute, Gray said nothing. Snivy’s face twisted anger. The little Pokemon used Vine Whip oulling Gray to its face. “Your voice is very misleading.”
“Are you saying I am not feminine enough?!”
“Ok ok settle down. To make up for it, I will make you stronger on the spot as well as give you a name.” Gray grabbed her and best a few Blessings over. The hexagon glowed on his wrist adding a little more. “There… we.. go..”
Gray was startled by the intense aura. Checking The status he should have known better.
(Snivy Level 40 Gender Female)
‘Why did she keep herself from evolving this entire time?’ Gray thought as he watched the evolution take place.
“Aaahhh! Servine!” Large force of Aura left from her. The immediate area had the trees almost knocked away. Gray wrapped Servine up to keep to much damage from taking place. “This feels great!”
“Glad you like it. How many pokemon have you battled over the years?”
“Hmm about 14 to 15 on a bad day. On a good day 40 or so. Then the trainers that tried to catch me sometimes..” Servine thought it over a little then starting doing math in the dirt. “Add on the holidays and the water types I dealt with during the high tide..”
“Nevermind. A lot you battled a lot.” Gray picked her up and continued his walk. It didn’t take long before Servine found herself comfortable wrapped around his torso and shoulder. “You are very long and different from others.”
“Thanks.” Servine smiled and rested her head on his shoulder looking out. “I am taking that as a compliment. So tell me about the others. Who likes to fight and who doesn’t.”
Gray and Servine chatted as he walked across the place. Meeting several Pokemon along the way that he treated. It was pleasant enough and ate the day away.
He teleported back to have dinner with everyone else. Supringlsy enough, Servine decided to sleep the rest of the day away.
-Depature-
“At least my cousin has a place to recover and adjust. Hope nothing else bad happens.” Officer Abigal said to Gray.
“Nothing will. I saw to that.” Gray’s Future Sight just ended.
“Bwoom!” Up above a gate opened. Seven people flew across with the power of aura. On land, another gate opened. A few kids on their Pokemon parents walked out.
“They are all strong and have hybrid children themselves. They will protect a place like this with their lives.”
“Woah.” Crystal mumbled out. Silver next to her gave a nudge to her side. She leaned over and half hugged him. “Ok, you were right. Glad he is offering his personal help.”
“Glad your worry can decrease a little.” Silver said lowly. He wished he solved that for her but nothing he could do about that. As if reading his thoughts, Crystal pinched him.”Ow!”
“You have done more than enough silly.” Crystal then pulled him in for a kiss. “Muah! Stop doubting what you do to make me feel better. Being there is more than enough.”
“Right!” Silver smiled and enjoyed the sight of them leaving.
“Gray,” Sabrina called. “I think some trouble is going on in Neo Cerulean City. Mind if if I take Empress and go check it out?”
“Go for it. Keep me posted if you need help.” Gray felt Empress leave the median state and float over. She entered Sabrina and they were gone in a blink. “Later to you to.”
“Woosh!” Sabrina reappeared and gave him a kiss on the cheek before leaving again. “Woosh!”
“You two are so weird.” Clair mumbled. Next to her Abigal nodded agreeing. “I am going to take a nap after swimming a few laps in the pool.”
“Hmm I think I will… meditate on the upper deck. I need to teach my Pokemon a few things as well.” Gray started floating up. Seeing the others faces he clarified. “Just a few moves is all and a update on their body’s condition.”
