Angel Smile - Chapter 107 A Fight She Couldn’t Win Alone
Yeo Ri was on the verge of breaking down as Lee Do Joon led her to an empty alley, removing them from public sight.
Her hands gripped the straps of her schoolbag tightly, turning her knuckles white. She took deep, heavy breaths as she tried to control her increasing heartbeat and weakening legs.
Lee Do Joon, from start to finish, kept his hand stuck on her shoulder, making them appear somewhat close. If there was anyone who were looking at them up front, they could have easily notice that something fishy was going on. The girl was trembling perceptibly, looking deathly afraid, despite the man’s perfectly normal demeanour.
Reaching to a secluded alleyway, Lee Do Joon finally dropped all pretences. He pushed her against the wall, smiling wretchedly.
“Long time no see, my sweet Yeo Ri-ah.”
“…!” Yeo Ri bit her tongue, muffling her scream. Her breathing roughened as she attempted to push the man away.
“Did you think you can run away, Yeo Ri-ah?” The man drawled, caressing her cheeks lovingly. But then, a second afterwards, he forcefully grabbed her chin. “Think again, you little sl*t. Now that I’ve gotten my hands on you, I’m never going to let you run away again.”
“N-no!” Yeo Ri tried to avoid him. He was locking her in place but her hands were still free. She quickly fumbled for her phone that was inside her coat’s pocket.
Thwack!
Lee Do Joon easily slapped the phone out of her hand, sending it flying. It broke uselessly after crashing into the pavement, destroying Yeo Ri’s hope of ever calling for help.
“A phone?” He growled. “Since when did you have that? Are you trying to rebel against me, Yeo Ri-ah?”
“Hic—!” Yeo Ri gasped fearfully.
He slammed her harder on the concrete wall, making her want to curl up from the pain.
He released his hold, and Yeo Ri fell to the ground weakly. She shivered as pain coursed through her back. It felt as if her bones had cracked.
Through the pain and tears, Yeo Ri hurriedly scrambled for her bag. Luckily, she had brought along the things that Gun had supplied her for self-defence, and even her knife had been brought along… as protection.
With trembling hands, she quickly pulled out the first item that her hands could reach: the taser.
“D-don’t come closer!” She screamed, pointing the taser towards the man.
She switched it on, holding it as if it was a gun. Seeing that the man did not move, she grabbed her bag with one hand and crawled away from him.
Lee Do Joon’s expression darkened. “Ha. Where did you get this toy from? Do you think that it’s enough?” He laughed derisively, “Keep dreaming, sl*t.”
Without warning, he lunged for the taser.
Yeo Ri managed to singe him, but the voltage was not enough to thwart him.
He bore with the pain, then slapped the item away from her hands again.
Yeo Ri’s hands were throbbing from the strength of his slaps, but she did not give up. She took out the second item and managed to take him by surprise.
“Gaah!” He shouted as the pepper spray embedded itself into his eyes. “You b*tch!”
Yeo Ri took advantage of the window of opportunity and dragged her heavy body away from the man. However, she had been rendered into a state of confusion due to her fright, and no matter where she ran, she was met with dead ends.
She was lost.
“Come here, you little sl*t!” Lee Do Joon stormed towards her with heavy steps, his eyes red and veins bulging. The pepper spray had stung his eyes, causing him great pain and anger. He couldn’t wait to get his hands on the girl.
Yeo Ri took out her final weapon tremblingly. “Don’t come closer! Go away!” She screamed, brandishing her knife wildly.
Her actions seemed to cause the man even greater anger. “Again and again and again! What is with you brats and knives?!” He roared angrily. He felt extremely provoked and the sight of the knife only seemed to make him more irritated.
He recklessly lurched towards the girl, as if he did not care at all even if the knife hurt him.
Yeo Ri was clearly scared, so her hold on the knife was rather slippery. Although she tried to grab it tightly, Lee Do Joon still managed to wrest it away from her after tangling for a few minutes.
However, it was not without repercussions.
Countless scratches and bloody gashes marred his body from the scuffle.
He threw away the knife. Now that the girl did not have a weapon anymore, she was utterly defenceless.
“F*cking b*tch!” Lee Do Joon hissed, strangling her. His body was stinging with pain, all because of this disobedient little sl*t. He had better make her pay later.
Yeo Ri coughed, her lungs screaming for air. She used what little strength she had left to scratch the man’s hand, hoping that it might cause him to loosen his grip.
Her eyes soon became blurry, and soon, she stopped moving.
However, just before she lost her consciousness, he stopped choking her.
Lee Do Joon stared down at the girl with eyes full of hatred. He had expanded more effort than he thought was necessary to get her. But, after struggling for so long, he could finally enjoy the fruits of his labour.
He licked his lips, imagining all the things he wanted to do to the girl.
With a deranged grin on his face, he picked up the girl and returned to his house.
