Anna Lu - Chapter 61 Mom....I missed you too
Anna began to feel as if this was a temple. She could have sworn she climbed up to 100 steps.
(That’s not true, she’s just lazy…”)
“Ok….first door on the right”
Anna stood in front of the door and took a deep breath. It was now she finally realized that she came here without a plan…..what exactly was she going to do when she saw that bastard?
She felt…..nervous.
She wanted to barge in but she decided to knock instead.
Then she heard his voice, it seems he already knew she was here.
“Anna, no need to knock” he said. Anna held her breath as she opened the door and walked in.
She was about to say the most cruelest words she could say, then she saw her.
The woman’s green eyes had a resemblance to her’s, her lips….her nose….Anna would’ve have sworn that the woman was her twin if it wasn’t for her older appearance.
There was shock in her eyes, like she just saw a ghost.
When the old madam was told that her daughter was still alive, she couldn’t believe it. She thought that the old man was up to his old tricks again but seeing this girl in front of her now…
Her other two daughters all looked like their father in many ways but…..this one, this one was her carbon copy.
“Anna….I’ve missed you so much” she said as she stood up from the couch and hugged Anna.
Anna was still in a daze when she was pulled into the woman’s embrace…..her birth mom….her birth mother.
If it wasn’t for her training, Anna would have broken down by now and already become a sobbing mess.
Anna sighed, she was cold before but it finally felt warm.
She hugged the woman and her Luis stretched into a smile “Mom….I missed you too”
hearing Anna’s voice, the old madam sobbed louder. She began to feel guilty, all of her children….if she hadn’t done all of those things.
She wouldn’t be reuniting with her daughter in this horrible man’s house.
The Old madam took a good look at her daughter after wiping her tears “See how big and pretty you’ve grown…..my Anna”
…
Anna spent hours talking and catching up with her mother.
They spoke to each other so naturally like they had been only separated for a few months.
Anna didn’t tell her mother about her life in City S or what she went through in her step mother’s house.
She felt it would be useless to speak of the past which she had already forgotten
Time went by so fast before they knew it, it was already time for dinner.
Anna didn’t want to stay but The old madam suggested it.
At the table, it was pretty awkward. Lu Zhang was sitting there with a stupid smile on his face while the Old madam was stealing secret glances at him with a scared expression.
Anna’s fists clenched under the table, seeing her mother’s state, she got angry.
“I want to take my mother with me to City S” Anna said breaking the silence.
Lu Zhang only looked at her for 3 seconds before he continued eating his meal.
“I’m sure you heard me” Anna said glaring at the man who kept ignoring her.
Lu Zhang put down his chopsticks and raised his head to look at Anna.
“And who says you’re going anywhere?”
Hearing his words, Anna got alarmed but she still kept her indifferent expression.
“What do you mean?”
Lu Zhang chuckled and downed the glass of wine in front of him.
“You are so foolish my dear. Did you really think I will let you go jut like that?….after all, you are my future successor so you have to know your way around”
Anna smirked and said calmly “So you are going to keep me here against my will?”
Lu Zhang smiled as he stared at Anna. “I guess you’re not so foolish after all”
The old madam shook her head “Don’t trap my daughter here Lu Zhang!…..You can’t do that to her!”
Anna held her mother’s hand to calm her down “No worries mom…..let’s see, if he or anybody else can stop us from leaving!” Anna said with a cold tone.
She stared straight into the man’s eyes with a cold and piercing gaze.
The man couldn’t help but shiver a little ‘She really has changed’
Anna suddenly stood up still holding her mother’s hand “Thank you for the meal father but, I think I will be leaving with my mother now”
She said not waiting for the man’s response before making her way to the door.
The old madam followed behind Anna…..mostly because the girl’s grip was tight and she couldn’t bring herself to loosen it. She also wanted to leave this place…she wanted to leave it!
Lu Zhang chuckled before clapping twice.
About 30 men in black soon blocked the entrance.
Anna raised her eyebrows and gazed through the crowd.
They all seemed to be well trained and very skilled.
Anna laughed surprising both her father and mother
“You find my men funny?” Lu Zhang said with an amused expression.
Anna wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and looked at the men coldly.
“They aren’t funny, it’s just that…you sent children to me instead of real men!”
Those words shook the entire room…’Ch….Children!!!?”
