(Leon POV)

The next morning, everyone is at the Forever Fall and Glynda is the one leading us within the forest. Our purpose is to collect sample from the trees and Glynda will be our guide and protector. While Jaune is Cardin’s pack mule for the day, I temporarily team up team JNPR while Neo team up with RWBY.

Phyrra look at Jaune and sighs. I pat her shoulder and tell her something.

Leon: “Relax. Jaune will be fine. I’m sure he’ll come to his senses later.”

Phyrra: “I hope so.”

(Jaune POV)

I was out of breathe. Cardin ordered me to collect 6 samples while they laze around. I was on the ground panting. Cardin looks at me with a smug face.

Jaune: “Good job Jauney boy. Now, you’re wondering yourself why do my buddy Cardin ask me to collect 6 samples of tree saps while their only 5 of us.”

Jaune: “That is one of the many questions that I ask myself today, yes.”

Cardin: “Well, come with me.” [Grins]

I have a bad feeling about this.

(Leon POV)

Leon: “So far, our operation is going smoothly.”

Lately, I feel a bit arrogant and easily get bored over the past few days. Maybe because of the intense training from that radio demon before? Everytime I remember that demon, anger rose from my heart. I swear I’ll punch that smiling face someday.

I help everyone taking the tree sample. So far, everything is alright. I use my invisible chains to monitor our premises. It’s still feels weird seeing 7 different perspectives. So far, no Grimm is within our sight but I did see Jaune, Cardin and his gang from the distance. I’ll keep watching them if they do something stupid.

While collecting saps with everyone. I saw Jaune is holding a jar of sap and was ready to throw it. I check the trajectory to where it hits and he’s targeting at me. Oh? Is this Cardin’s payback? Interesting. What you gonna do Jaune? You’re gonna throw at me and be Cardin’s lackey forever? Or stand up for yourself?

I can see Jaune’s hesitation and he didn’t throw the jar. Good job Jaune. But in anger, he throw it to Cardin and the sap smeared all over his armor. Cardin was not happy. They drag Jaune somewhere. One of my chains extended and follows them. When my chains arrives at the scene, Jaune was beaten to a pulp. Bruises can be seen on his face. Cardin lift Jaune up and punch Jaune’s face but I bright light shines. Cardin roared in pain while Jaune falls down but all of his bruises healed. Cardin was about to hit Jaune again but everyone heard a roar.

Ruby: “Did you hear that?”

I went back to my own perspective when I heard Ruby. Moments later, Cardin’s goons ran passed us but Yang caught one and ask questions. He told us that an Ursa caught Cardin.

Phyrra: “Jaune!”

Ruby ordered Yang and Blake to contact Glynda while Neo, Ren and Nora protect them. Me, Weiss, Phyra and Ruby went to where Cardin and Jaune is. I equip Yamato and run.

We’re at the location and we saw Cardin was beaten to a pulp by an Ursa. Well that’s Karma for Cardin. The Ursa was about to attack again but Jaune protected Cardin. Weiss and Ruby were about to help but Phyrra stop them. We observe Jaune fighting the Ursa and he’s struggling. When Jaune and Ursa were about to clash one another, Phyrra use her magnetism to Jaune’s shield to protect himself from the Ursa’s claws. I use my invisible chains to wrap around it to the Ursa’s right leg to make lose balance. Jaune manage to decapitate the Ursa.

Weiss and Ruby notice it and ask what that is.

Phyrra: “Well Ruby has her speed, Leon has his inventory, Weiss has her glyph and mine is control over Polarity.”

Ruby: “Oh, you can control over poles.”

I cover my mouth to control my laughter.

Weiss: “No you dunce, she can control over magnetism.”

Ruby: “Magniticle too.”

Phyrra walks away and told everyone to keep it a secret. Jaune help Cardin up and threaten him to not mess with his team and/or friends again.

Everyone left Cardin and I smack Jaune’s back. He wince from the pain.

Leon: “You did good back there.”

Jaune: “Yeah. Thanks.”

Leon: “Here.”

I grab his shoulder and healed him. All of his injuries from the fight disappear.

Jaune: “Phew, thanks. I needed that.”

Leon: “You’re welcome. Congrats by the way on unlocking your aura. Now you all have to do is to know what’s your semblance is.”

Jaune nods and walks with us confidently.

Its night time and we’re back at Beacon. I was walking through the hallway and I saw Velvet from the distance reading a book. She looks up and saw me. She freezes and got nervous.

Velvet: “G.ood evening, Leon”

She tried to have a conversation with me but she’s scared and nervous.

Leon: “Good evening Velvet. Are you okay? Is someone bullying you again?”

Velvet: “No, no no!”

She got fl.u.s.tered and quickly denies it. I chuckle a little because she’s really cute.

Leon: “Then that’s good. If anyone tries to bully you again, don’t hesitate to call me alright?”

Velvet blushes and didn’t speak.

I walk towards her.

Leon: “Your face is really red. Do you feel sick or something?”

I put forehead to her forehead to check her temperature. Her eyes starts to swirl and she turns red like a tomato. She then collapse from the intense heat but I hold her waist and catch her. She fell unconscious. I lift her up in a princess carry and look at her face. She’s sweating profusely and her face is still red.

Leon: “I was just teasing. Didn’t expect that she’d really collapse. Welp, better let her rest at the clinic.”

I went to the clinic, explain what just happened to the school nurse and gently lay her on a bed. I tuck her in and let the nurse take care of her. I was going back to my dorm when I saw Phyrra and Jaune from the distance. I can see Jaune struggling to walk.

Leon: “Training?”

Phyrra nods. I nod back.

Jaune: “Hey Leon, can you heal me?”

Leon: “Nope, not this time Jaune. You know what they say, no pain no gain.”

Jaune: “Oh come on.”

I chuckle and went inside my room.
