Another Dimension Traveler - Volume 1 Chapter 139 139
(3rd POV)
Evernight castle. It’s been days since Cinder and the others contacted Salem. Until now, she patiently waits for the news. Then Arthur Watts burst in through the door and has a concern expression on his face.
Arthur: “My queen. Please forgive me for barging in but we have terrible news.”
Salem: “Out with it, Arthur. What is it about?”
Arthur then shows a video where Cinder and her companions have been captured by Atlas soldiers and taking them to their prison cell. She also saw Adam Taurus was taken custody as well.
Salem: “Useless.”
Salem is disappointed to Cinder’s failure.
Salem: “Any other news?”
Arthur: “I located Tyrian in one of Atlas prison cell. I tried to contact him but he looks broken.”
Salem: “What do you mean broken?”
Arthur: “Through the cameras, I can only see him curling in corner of his room and sometimes he started screaming and banging his head on the wall. He tried to kill himself but the guards stop him and restrained him.”
Salem close her eyes and contemplates. Arthur continue his report.
Arthur: “I tried contacting Hazel for any report but he didn’t answer any calls. I tried locating him but I have not seen him anywhere. It’s like he vanish.”
Salem: “It’s either he got killed or defective from us. Either way, they all failed.”
Salem magic burst out from anger and the glass windows shattered behind her. Arthur breathes heavily because of the intensity of the atmosphere. Salem recedes her magic and then the atmosphere became lighter. She stood up and look at Arthur. Arthur bows down and doesn’t want to look his queen’s eyes.
Salem left the castle. She walk towards the pool of darkness where the Grimm resides. They growl at her but when Salem look at them, they whimper.
Salem is now in front of the black pool. She lift her hand and black blob rise up from the pool. The black blob then reforms itself into something horrific. It roared and then crawls out of the black pool. It bows down to Salem and awaits Salem’s command. She then order it to step aside and she created another one. She continued until she created an army of different types of Grimms but she’s not finish. She then lift both of her hands and a giant black blob emerge from the pool. She continue reforming the black blob until a giant Grimm reforms from it. Salem continues create her giant army until she’s satisfied of the number.
(Leon POV)
It’s been 24 hours since we captured Cinder and her companions. I change Hazel appearance so that no one could recognize him except for myself of course. I also gave him a new name and Ozpin handle the rest. Hazel will be retiring because he had enough of being a pawn of someone. He still has a grudge on Ozpin but not to the point killing him. I offered him a job at one of my stores and he oblige. Hazel follows her sister’s advice and lives happily. He also visit her sister’s grave once in a month.
I’m now in Ozpin’s office with Ozpin himself, Qrow, Ironwood, and Glynda.
Ozpin: “Now’s the enemy is incapacitated for a while, it’s time we visit Amber.”
Qrow: “Finally Oz. Did we really have to deal with those kid before we meet her?”
Ozpin: “It’s necessarily that we deal any problems before we meet the Fall maiden. Who knows what’ll happen if her pawns discover the location.”
Ironwood: “Ozpin is right. We need to be careful on our actions.”
Qrow: “Yeah yeah. I still can’t believe you can do magic, kid.”
Glynda: “It’s also unbelievable that he’s from another world.”
Leon: “The world is a mysterious place. You’ll see some crazy thing’s in your life.”
Qrow: “You took those words right out of my mouth, kid.”
Qrow drinks his flask and continues being drunk. We left the room and took the elevator. Then a few minutes of descending, the elevator opens and we’re now at hallway. The lights are dimly lit and the place looks very creepy.
Leon: “Gloomy much.”
Qrow: “That’s what I said before.”
The others ignore our conversation and went towards the vault. We silently walks through the hallway until we meet the sleeping maiden.
Ozpin: “This is Amber, the current Fall Maiden.”
Qrow: “So go on kid. Show you healing magic or whatever.”
I roll my eyes and walk towards the sleeping maiden. She’s in case in chamber that looks like a metal coffin. I can see the maiden through the glass. I summon the necklace, the same necklace that I put Cinder’s maiden’s magic. It looks the same as the necklace I use to put the Spring Maiden’s magic but the only difference is that it has a brown gem. I healed Amber through the glass and her scars disappears. I check her condition and it’s stable. Then I use [Cute and paste] and cut Amber’s maiden ability and paste it in the necklace.
Leon: “Its done.”
Glynda checks Ambers condition.
Glynda: “Other than her Aura seems to decrease, her vitals are in perfect condition.”
Ozpin: “I’m glad to hear that.”
Ozpin was about to continue but Qrow notice that Amber’s eyelids are trembling. We waited until Amber slowly opens her eyes and look at us. Ozpin looks at Glynda and nods at her. She nods back and press a button. Then the metal coffin’s lid slowly opens and tries to move. She struggles to move her body. Glynda and Qrow help her get out of the chamber and look at us.
Amber: “What happened?”
Ozpin told her all about what happened after she fell unconscious. He also told her about her assailant that has been captured, her maiden’s ability is gone and she’s now perfectly healed.
Amber: “So, I’m not the Fall Maiden anymore?”
Ozpin: “It’s unfortunate but yes, your maiden abilities are now gone.”
Amber trembles but not from disappointment, but from pure joy.
Amber: “Finally, I’m not a maiden anymore.”
We were caught off guard by her sudden reaction. She looks at me and hugs me. She squeeze me tightly and I was very confuse.
Amber: “Thank you taking maiden’s magic. You don’t know how heavy the responsibility of holding that power.”
Leon: “You’re welcome?”
I look at Ozpin and I can see he right eyebrow twitch. I also saw Qrow was laughing so hard from Amber’s reaction. Ironwood just looks at her with a deadpanned expression and Glynda just rubs her head from stress.
