Apocalypse Cheater - Chapter 164 Date In Modern Fantasia Part 3
Chapter 164 Date In Modern Fantasia Part 3
[: Daniel POV :]
As I observed the towering Mountainous Breaker, I decided to take charge.
“Alright, sweetheart. Stay back here and let me handle this.”
The monstrous creature before me was a sight to behold. It had jagged, rock-like skin that seemed impenetrable, and its massive size made it a formidable opponent.
The sheer weight of its presence caused the ground to shake with each ponderous step.
Cecilia’s worry was evident, and I couldn’t blame her.
The Mountainous Breaker’s size was intimidating, and its ominous appearance sent shivers down the spine of anyone who dared to face it.
She had faith in my abilities, but she had yet to witness my true capabilities, which left her slightly anxious.
Expressing her concern, she said, “Be careful, alright, dear?”
Her words were filled with genuine worry.
I offered a reassuring smile in response.
“Don’t worry. It’ll all be over before you know it.”
Cecilia nodded in acknowledgement, and with that, I vanished from her side, reappearing before the colossal, rocky form of the Mountainous Breaker, its cold, lifeless eyes fixated on me with a menacing glare.
The colossal, rocky behemoth, the Mountainous Breaker, turned its attention to me, and to my surprise, it spoke with a deep, earth-shaking voice.
Its words reverberated through the land, causing the nearby monsters to retreat in fear.
This creature was one of the infamous ’10 Great Titanic Monsters,’ and its presence was a force to be reckoned with.
“Why have two atrocious humans come upon the land of us?”
“Did you think this is a land where anyone can just enter and leave as they please?”
It rumbled, its voice echoing like thunder.
I knew that some monsters in this realm had evolved or possessed high-tier bloodlines, granting them intelligence and the ability to communicate.
However, not all of them could speak, even if they met the requirements.
This made the Mountainous Breaker’s words all the more imposing.
Cecilia struggled to maintain her composure as the Mountainous Breaker’s roaring voice filled the air.
She?instinctively covered her ears, overwhelmed by the sheer power of the creature before her.
It was hard for her to fathom that such a colossal and monstrous being could exist.
The thought crossed her mind, “If such a monster exists on Earth, I wonder what it would turn out like?”
The conclusion was bleak, encountering a creature like this would likely mean death.
The Mountainous Breaker began to assert itself, but before it could launch into a speech about its might and achievements, its entire body froze.
I had taken control of its very life force using my Ruler’s Authority.
With a dismissive tone, I declared, “I don’t want to waste time speaking to a monster like you. It would be better if you served as nourishment for my lover.”
I had no intention of engaging in pointless banter, opting instead to swiftly deal with the formidable foe that stood before us.
The Mountainous Breaker was horrified as it found itself completely immobilized, unable to exert any force or even utter a word.
Fear coursed through its massive frame, and it experienced terror for the first time in its existence.
I contemplated the situation and decided to apply even more restrictions.
Instead of using any of my active skills, which would have instantly vanquished the monster, I chose a different approach and activated Superior Divider.
With the vast disparity in our stats, it was clear that Cecilia alone couldn’t defeat this monstrous entity.
However, what if I reduced its levels and capabilities to nearly nothing?
Smirking, I taunted the paralyzed beast, “Your level is far too high. How about I bring it back down to where you started?”
With a wave of my hand, I lowered the creature’s prowess to the equivalent of Level 1, rendering it virtually powerless.
The monster was undoubtedly bewildered by the sudden changes it felt within its massive body.
It was as if something vital had been temporarily stripped away from its being.
Satisfied with the outcome, I examined the creature, which now boasted all its stats reduced to single digits.
It was effectively defenceless.
I beckoned Cecilia closer to the subdued monster, explaining the situation to her before instructing her to finish the job.
“So… all I have to do is use my skill, and it’ll be done?”
Cecilia inquired her expression a mix of astonishment and disbelief.
Yet, she chose to place her trust in the plan.
I reassured her, “That’s correct”
”With its stats reduced to this extent, even an ant could vanquish it”
”There’s nothing to worry about.”
“Well, if you say so, honey,”
Cecilia responded, placing her trust in me.
She closed her eyes, ready to act.
As she activated her skill, Holy Sphere, a brilliant sphere of holy energy encased the monster’s body, eliciting a horrified, anguished scream from it.
The creature’s voice gradually waned, its life extinguishing from its eyes.
Cecilia couldn’t believe what had just occurred.
It was difficult to fathom how someone who wasn’t even at level 100 had managed to defeat a Unique Monster of level 850.
[: Congratulations, you have killed a Level 850 Unique Monster, Mountainous Breaker, and have obtained 170k Exp:]
[: Congratulations, you have levelled up to 110 and have obtained 200 points, and received 100 points for all stats:]
[: You have obtained the Fragment of Shield and the Token of Saint of Shield Inheritor:]
“Just like that!?”
Cecilia exclaimed with amazement, astonished by how easily she had reached level 100.
“But…what is this?”
”Fragment of Shield and Token of Saint of Shield Inheritor?”
”What does it mean?”
She held up the drops she had received, one resembling an emerald jade and the other bearing the carving of a shield.
I raised an eyebrow at the unique drops.
“Oh? I never thought that such drops could exist,” I remarked.
Curious, Cecilia asked, “Do you know what this is, honey?”
“I only know a bit,” I began to explain.
“The Token of Inheritors is a special token that allows the player to inherit the class, ability, or even the bloodline of the legacy that was passed down in the token”
”To obtain all of this, we’ll have to complete the requirements set up by the origin of the legacy.”
“You should use it for yourself, sweetheart. The Saint of Shield abilities suit your abilities and class,” I strongly suggested.
Cecilia hesitated for a moment, feeling as though she hadn’t done anything to deserve such a gift.
“Don’t worry. I’m not lacking anything, and the Saint of Shield abilities would no doubt be beneficial for you,” Iencouraged.
“Well, if you say so, honey,” Cecilia finally relented and cracked the Token, which caused the Saint of Shield himself to appear.
“After so long, it seems that there’s a decent person enough to inherit everything that I have” Trace the lineage of this substance back to the dawn of Nøv€lß¡n★
”This is just a part of my soul that contained the last will before disappearing,”
The Saint of Shield spoke.
“To inherit everything that I have and possess, are you daring enough to complete my will?”
[: You have been offered the Quest of The Saint of Shield, Last Will, do you wish to accept? :]
Without any hesitation, Cecilia accepted the quest.
[: The Saint of Shield Last Will :]
– The Saint of Shield regretted that he couldn’t end all of the monsters that destroyed its families and at his last moments of breath, it created a barrier with the help of the Council of Arrays at the exchange of his life –
– The Outer Lands had sealed all of the monsters that almost ended the Human Continent and thus, the Last Will is to end all monsters and free this city –
– Only then, the souls would be finally can be relieved –
– Kill all 10 Great Titanic Monsters to Collect the Fragment of Shield to Unseal the Barrier –
(Current Fragment Collected: 1/10)
– Kill all 50 Million Monsters that reside within the outer land that has been accumulated and bred for tens of years-
(Current Monsters killed: 0/50,000,000)
(Rewards for completing the Quest)
– Inheritance of Saint of Shield Class, Wealth, and Possessions –
[: The Quest for The Last Will of the Saint of Shield might be difficult to clear by a single person. For this Quest alone, the Party Function would be allowed for assistance :]
[: Party Function :]
– A max of 1 million players or hunters can be accepted and Exp obtained will be divided by the number of parties –
“That’s the amount of effort a person needs to put in to obtain one of the legendary classes since the Saint of Shield is focused on indestructible defence,”
I explained to Cecilia as she read the quest requirements.
“But if we have the Exp Party, then this will make it easier for the both of us,”
I said, surprised that the Party Function would be bestowed for this quest.
“Originally, perhaps the quest wasn’t meant to be cleared by a single person, as even the Saint of Shield had fallen”
”Thus, it was decided that it needed up to a million players to complete,” I theorized.
“The number of monsters that live in this Outer Land is 50 million, and if the average level for the monsters is around 700 or more, then even the Saint of Shield would give leeway for the quest,” I continued.
“It doesn’t make sense for someone to clear the quest solely alone unless there’s some sort of assistance,” I concluded.
Cecilia questioned, “Then…could we clear this quest with both of us alone, dear?”
