Apocalypse Respawn - Chapter 43 Chapter 43
“Where are we going?”
“… we’re going fishing.”
“Fishing? Where?”
“In the subway station.”
“…”
“We are going to be fishing for a Dungeon Core.”
“Dungeon Core?”
“It’s a shiny rock that feels warm when you touch it.”
“Whats a dungeon?”
“That’s…”
“…”
“I don’t know…”
“…”
“Every Dungeon is different. But they are similar in the aspect that they are an interdimensional space that summons creatures and resources into our world.”
“… Forget I said anything.”
We quickly reach the Subway station which is leading downwards into the ground. Along the wall, there is a lot of graffiti on the walls leading downwards.
The entrance of the Subway station has yet to turn into a Dungeon.
That means the dungeon has yet to take over the subway station. At least not yet.
All dungeons require time to take over a certain area. New dungeons are made after a dungeon core is Planted and after some time the core will grow and take over an inter-dimensional space which becomes the dungeon.
If I can find the Dungeon core now before it has fully grown then I would be able to form a contract with it becoming a Dungeon Master!
A dungeon master is just like what it means, a master of the Dungeon. There are extremely good perks which the dungeon master will get when he becomes the master of the dungeon and they are being able to teleport within the dungeon and capable of controlling the monsters which respawn, as well as where and what the traps are to be put.
Getting my hands on this dungeon gives me a mine with infinite resources.
I can build the dungeon however I see fit and make it an underground base for me.
There were dungeon masters in my previous life which became quite powerful because of being almost invincible and having an almost infinite amount of resources.
They probably survived even after I died in that battle against the God of Plague.
The reason why they are so powerful is that as long as they are within there Dungeon they can teleport to anywhere within the Dungeon. This means if the Dungeon Core isn’t destroyed then they wouldn’t be able to be killed.
Having a dungeon under there control also has the perk of being able to mine resources from the dungeon which is unending as long as there are enough sacrifices to the Dungeon.
The Dungeon is a living structure which will consume anything. They will then convert what they consume into some sort of power and then use it to sustain the Dungeon. Meaning as long as it consumes something the resources of the Dungeon will continue to replenish.
But becoming a Dungeon Master is almost impossible and for a good reason.
The first would be that the Dungeon Core needs to acknowledge you as it’s master.
The second is that you would need to have enough power to crush the Dungeon or else you would never be able to come in contact with the dungeon core.
The third is that Dungeons are almost impossible to clear.
The only chance someone has to control a dungeon is when it is just born. When they are just born they only have a single room so its easy to find the Core and they don’t have powerful enough monsters to defend themselves.
Meaning that this is my chance.
The Dungeon which I am going after is extremely notorious. It was a dungeon that didn’t have a master’s in my past life but became extremely powerful due to its size and the sheer amount of resources.
I need to find the Core of this Dungeon. But it’s going to be a real pain in the ass due to how large NYC subway is.
There are multiple stops inside the Subway station and in the future, this dungeon would have complete control of all the Subway entrances.
Meaning that the Dungeon at its prime took almost full control over the underground of Manhattan.
I need to find where this dungeon and fast for a Dungeon evolves rapidly.
This is one hell of a Dangerous Dungeon so I need to be extra Cautious.
“What do we do now brother?”
We search…”
“Search where? The Subway in New York is extremely long.”
“We’ll start by killing off all of the Zombies within the Subway. If we find the core then were lucky if we can’t that is fine as well for the dungeon will require time to become stronger and need time to store up power to create monsters. This means that we have at the very least 5 days to find this Dungeon. I clear out the Zombies then the Core will have fewer Zombies to consume meaning it will become stronger slower.”
“How will we know when we find the dungeon?”
“We’ll know when we step into the dungeon for notification will pop up so you just need to focus on killing Zombies.”
With that, we set off on a Killing spree or not…
I gave my Glock to her. My sister has never touched a gun before for she is only 14. So I needed to teach her from scratch on how to use the gun. This was the time to give her to train and become used to killing and using the gun.
I needed to teach her how to turn off the safety and how to hold the gun. Only after that could she start learning how to shoot. Her aim was extremely inaccurate.
While she was aiming to shoot the Zombie she shot out the Exit Light.
Her shots were almost as good as shooting randomly for she couldn’t aim at all.
The time was going to spend down here is going to be good practice for her to aim with her gun.
I think that her chances of hitting her aimed target are lower than actually hitting something else randomly.
For all her shots so far has long missed the mark.
She’s going to need a lot of practice.
