Aria’s Tales - Chapter 38 2.23 Unfallen The Fallen
Adounis’ words greatly excited the little guy, and Sevianna was taking the brunt. “Hey, enough! His kicking so much!” She frowned as the pain seemed to worsen. Then, she was exasperated. Now you want to come out?!
She quickly tugged at Adounis’ shirt. She hadn’t even opened her mouth to say anything when Adounis had already carried her in bridal style and strode inside their castle. “Gareth! Quickly call elder Jheal!” A shadow behind one of the trees moved, then vanished.
Sevianna was speechless by both the pain and the little guy’s enthusiasm. She was a hundred percent sure that he really wanted to come out. While she was placed unto a soft bed, she poked at Adounis’ arms. “You should call Shyvva, too. You promised him after all.”
Adounis froze and his eyes widened in bewilderment. “So he got tempted?” His eyes curved in amusement.
Sevianna nodded aggressively. “This is your fault!” She said as she held her bulging stomach in pain.
Adounis immediately went on to comforting her while waiting for the elder, and it only took a few seconds when she came with three girls in tow. Elder Jheal was the same person who had confirmed Sevianna’s pregnancy. And she was incredibly honoured to be the one to help with her labour as well. She had Adounis wait in the next room with great difficulty as the husband wanted to stay with his wife.
“If you don’t want to sleep in the other castle then do as she says!”
Adounis bolted out of the room right away.
While he was going in circles because of worry, Sevianna had chanted a soundproofing spell in the room, lest he barged in while she was screaming.
The labouring room was closed for about four hours and by then, everyone had already arrived in the castle. Of course, they didn’t wait for Adounis’ message but had already placed their own servants in the castle to report to them right away. Adounis was too unreliable when it came to this after all.
Anhel, Devian, Selyph, Sheila, Kleid, and Claude arrived one by one and took their respective spots as they waited with the anxious Adounis. Nathaniel could not come as he had officially taken the position of the king. Actually, Adounis, too, had taken over his father’s position. But he adamantly refused to sleep in Antitheus’ castle when his wife was staying at their own.
The door to the labouring room creaked open and everyone literally stood up. They watched as one of the girl’s assisting the elder had brought a baby wrapped up in soft blankets. Selyph quickly took him over, while a dashing Adounis went straight inside the room.
The room was permeated with the smell of blood making him frown in worry. Sevianna saw him approaching and weakly waved her hand. “I’m fine-” Adounis caught her hand.
“You always say that.” His frown deepened. He tucked her hand back to the changed, clean blankets, and encased Sevianna into a cocoon. He carried her that way and teleported to their room, gently placing her unto the bed. “Get some rest.” He softly said as he landed a kiss to her lips.
Sevianna was too tired to pretend and act bashful, so she merely hummed a sound of acceptance and went into deep sleep.
“Thank you for your efforts.” He gave her another kiss, longer than the first, but still a butterfly kiss.
In the other room, Wayward was surrounded by the two families. Their gazes as they looked at him was incredibly sweet. He only had a silver patch of hair on his white head, and his cheeks were rosy and plump. His eyes still closed as he was just newly born.
This fact bothered the already conscious little guy. Where’s mommy??
The little Wayward suddenly cried, and the people surrounding him descended into utter panic. They tried to calm the guy in soft whispers, then with children songs. But nothing seemed to work.
“Your mommy is sleeping. Don’t be noisy~” Adounis softly said as he approached the little one.
Surprisingly, his words worked. Little Wayward had stopped crying, but his hands were waving as if searching for something. Adounis took him over and held his hands. “You want to go to her?” He asked as he lightly tapped his chubby hands.
The little guy cooed.
Everyone was struck dumb. And then again, Herald was the only one who could understand. Had he not gained his own mindset as well when he had just been born? He supposed that only those of mixed blood had this ability. He smiled as he felt a camaraderie with the little one.
Adounis didn’t bother with their stunned expressions and brought Little Wayward to their room. When Adounis got there, he didn’t place Little Wayward on the bed but instead, climbed over while holding the baby, and laid beside Sevianna.
His heart was filled with warmth then as he soon closed his eyes to sleep along after hearing the mother and son’s steady breathing.
Wayward finally got his eyes to open the third day after he was born, and the laugh and coo he made as he saw his mother for the first time, melted Sevianna’s heart. Once again, she took on the role of a doting but diligent mother, meticulously raising Wayward into one of the wisest King in the word’s history.
Wayward finally got Adounis’ promise to ride on Shyvva’s back at his first birthday. Since Shyvva had no longer left for the dragon land, he made a lifetime pact with Adounis – making Adounis the first dragon rider in the world.
But Shyvva got so attached to Wayward, that he actually changed the pact over to Wayward. Adounis merely shrugged at this while nonchalantly telling his son to take good care of uncle Shyvva. In his mind, he was thinking, ‘Take anything you want, but I’ll have your mother.’
Fortunately for Adounis, Little Wayward may be attached to his mother, but not overly to the point that he would stay with her all the time. When he was around ten years old, he enlisted as an adventure and travelled around the world. It was only then, did Adounis relaxed.
Now that his little rivalry was gone, Adounis could finally take Sevianna to their honeymoon. Because it was not ideal for Sevianna to go on a trip with a weak state, they both had to postpone their wedding night, too.
Adounis dropped by his father’s study, on a castle just beside the main castle of Antitheus, and placed the golden plaque that was the proof of a King on his desk.
“Father, I’m leaving for a few months. You take care~”
Then, he teleported in a hurry. Leaving a wide-eyed and frozen Devian to stare at the golden plaque. The great former Demon King, holding his forehead in gloom, was once again back in his position – although temporarily. He reluctantly relented. For his future grandsons and granddaughters!
Sevianna was playing with the animals in the garden when Adounis arrived. She would have loved to jump into his arms and greet him sweetly, but she could only stay sitting and pretend to ignore his presence. This was really taxing to her flirty nature ah~!
Adounis sat beside her and dragged her to his laps despite her protests. “Where do you want to go?” He caught the flying hand that was about to slap his chest again.
“Go? For what?” Sevianna frowned as she tried to take back her hand.
“Wifey~ Have you forgotten our honeymoon?” Adounis didn’t let her go and tightened his hold around her waist.
Sevianna was startled. “H- Honeymoon?” She had not forgotten it. But she had to pretend she did. “T- There’s no need! Besides, I- I still have to take care of Waywar-”
“He’s old enough to kill a minotaur.”
Adounis immediately shot down her reason, and Sevianna pouted while successfully slapping his chest with her free hand. His sweet smile only widened. “I heard about a Cat Kingdom in the west coast of Stella. Shall we go there?”
Sevianna paused. Her mind was suddenly filled with thoughts about the small furry creatures. When she noticed that she was getting tempted, she furiously slapped Adounis’ chest. “You! As if I’m going to fall for your petty tricks!” Her cheeks were of a deep shade of red.
Adounis chuckled. “Then, what about the City of Vellus?”
The city of those fluff balls?? Sevianna could feel her resolve waning. She had seen those little fluff balls on the day of Adounis’ proposal but hadn’t had the chance to play with them. She really could go there? Sevianna pursed her lips as she glared at the smiling Adounis.
“Okay.” She said softly.
Adounis beamed and carried her in bridal style, and Sevianna instinctively circled her arms around his neck.
“Hey! Where are you taking me??” She protested while lightly punching his shoulders.
Adounis raised his eyebrows and said as a matter of fact. “We’re starting our trip now.”
“Wa- W- Wait- I haven’t even prepar-”
“I’ve already done it.”
“My … clothes?”
“Mn, even your underwear~”
Sevianna’s face was instantly red. “Pervert! Don’t do it again!”
“But. I want to help my wife~?” Adounis paused in his steps and looked at her as if he had been wronged. His eyes widened while his shoulders slumped.
Sevianna choked on her next words. She looked really annoyed that she couldn’t fight against this puppy dog eyes attack of his. Although on the inside, she was squealing in delight.
Sevianna: Kyaaa my hubby is really cute~
Lily: Why do I feel like you did this on purpose?
Sevianna: Shhh~ Don’t expose my beautiful acting~
In the end, Sevianna glared once again and turned her head away while pouting. She didn’t see that Adounis’ eyes flashed with a mischievous glint and laughter.
These lovebirds left in the middle of the night for their trip. Under the cover of the red moonlight, they left the people from both families with their mouths hanging. By the time they had sent their servants to check, the castle was deserted of the naughty couple’s presence. And despite their efforts in pinpointing their location, no one could find them.
At least give us a hint! What would you do if we go crazy from worry?!
Adounis didn’t want anyone to disturb their time alone. And it was at this time that Stella was building an invisible flying ship under their kingdom. Don’t ask how Adounis knew of such a classified information, when the Stella’s King, himself, had told him personally about it. With Adounis’ generous funding, the first invisible flying ship was made. Of course, Adounis got his for free.
The two poor families could never have thought that Adounis had already made a detailed planned about this right after Wayward was born.
Since the invisible flying ship can be turned on or off, Adounis freely indulge himself in spending his time with Sevianna.
Sevianna … prefer not to comment.
Their trip went unhindered as they travelled to the City of Vellus. It was a single moderately sized island, floating above a still lake. When Sevianna and Adounis arrived, various fluff balls were bouncing from the island then into the lake, making ripples on its still waters.
Sevianna’s eyes visibly sparkled. She could not help her love for furry creatures and ended up jumping off from the flying ship and dashing off to the lake.
Adounis shook his head lightly and followed after.
The City of Vellus was just the first stop. They also went to the Cat Kingdom that Adounis first mentioned. And though Sevianna had wanted to go home, worrying about her family, Adounis simply “exhausted” her in bed until she gave in. There was no way Adounis would be satisfied with just this one stop.
Just like that, the married couple travelled around the world for three months, and only then were they satisfied.
Sevianna couldn’t help but feel a slight sense of deja vu. As she observed their castle from the tip of the ship, her lips curled up. The original soul’s three wishes were fulfilled, and she, herself, was spending another of her lifetime with her Yan gege again. Her heart was bursting from the sheer amount of sweetness.
She felt two powerful arms circling her waist, and a weight on her shoulder.
Adounis groaned. “Must we really go home?” He said for the nth time.
