Aria’s Tales - Chapter 44 3.4 Miss Troublemaker
Hasa instinctively patted the girl’s soft curly hair, but his actions were done subconsciously as he was internally stunned. Yan was not the type of person to easily express her emotions. It was only because she met Qin Huang that she finally found a friend she could rely on. They had been friends since childhood so he knew her cold persona all too well – that was … until now.
He lightly sighed. “Shhh. You look cuter when you smile. Don’t cry~” He continued to pat the crying Yan in hopes to comfort her.
What he didn’t know was that Yan’s cheeks were currently akin to a ripened tomato – it was a bright shade of red.
While Yan’s soft sobs echoed in the ticket booth, Qin Huang had enthusiastically dragged Teng Zexi to their first ride. It was the tower drop that stretched over twenty feet. Teng Zexi had to crane his neck just to see the very top, and his mouth twitched.
But before he could utter even a single word of complaint, Qin Huang had personally buckled him up at the centermost seat and eagerly sat down to his right. When she turned to face him, she grinned at his doubtful face.
“Heh- don’t tell me you’re scared~?” Her eyes flashed with mischief as she raised her eyebrows arrogantly.
That one sentence immediately had Teng Zexi fired up. He was a man who had once jumped into a storm of bullets! What was an extreme ride compared to that?!
Seeing his expression finally livening up, Qin Huang smiled in victory. If only Teng Zexi had stopped to digest her words, he wouldn’t have ended up getting played in the palm of her hands. If Sun Xue and the gang had seen their older brother like this, they would have stared in shock until they turned to stone. For such a simple trick, Teng Zexi actually fell.
There was only the two of them in the large amusement park – save for the fact that the ticket booth had another pair inside, and thirteen extreme rides were enough to fill it up. Even in normal days, for normal people, no one would have been able to ride on them all. And yet, through Qin Huang’s continuous and deliberate provocation and her endless supply of energy, such an impossible scenario was completely accomplished just as the sun had started to rise.
Teng Zexi froze in place and stared at the glaring rays of the morning sun. Unbelievably, they had ridden in all the rides. He didn’t feel tired at all, after all that, since his body had been trained to endure rigorous exercise that made him last for days. Qin Huang, however, had the appearance of a delicate girl, but he never would have thought that she actually had the level energy that rivalled his.
He wondered how could a little body hide such tremendous energy.
Qin Huang was not tired. Rather, she felt refreshed and free. It was a habit of hers to vent any negative feelings through extreme sports. This was because the after effects always give her a sense of relief. After having the first taste of break up over her first love, her stuffy heart slightly loosened.
While Qin Huang was feeling relieved, Teng Zexi was wearing the cloud of gloom. Never mind the fact that he enjoyed their little “date”, he was more concerned that the girl had stayed with him throughout the night. His head throbbed at the thought of her furious brothers bashing his face.
“Ya~ Zexi gege! That was fun! Let’s go on a date again okay?”
Qin Huang’s smile was a bit cheeky, but when Teng Zexi closely observed, he found that there was genuity. His heart couldn’t help but skip a beat. The girl gave him an alluring wink and puckered her lips before turning around to leave.
A hand quickly grabbed at the neck sleeve of her shirt and stopped her from leaving. He tugged her towards the waiting limousine. “I’m taking you home.” He said with a firm tone, leaving no room for discussions.
Qin Huang was already satisfied by the amount of “games” she had played all throughout the night, so she finally relented and let him take her home. But, she wouldn’t be called a troublemaker if she really had just calmly gone along.
She ducked and nimbly walked back, making Teng Zexi loosen his hold, and then she pounced on his broad back. Qin Huang had successfully carried out her piggyback plan and loosely encircled her arms around his neck. She moved her lips close to his reddened ears and said, “Take me home like this~ hehe~”
Her giggles tickled Teng Zexi’s heart, and his temples were throbbing from the amount of internal strength he was using to control his urge – the urge to push her down. He stood there like a statue for a long time while a koala was happily hugging his neck. He only moved after a few minutes when his heart was slightly at ease.
He walked over the limousine with a straight back and rhythmically swinging arms – he was comically walking in a stiff military fashion.
Qin Huang laughed loudly when she noticed, and her melodious voice attacked his already reddened ears. He hastily got into the limo and tried to pull the girl down. But her arms had tightened, pressing her mounds to his back, while she iron gripped her own arms. She showed no sign of coming down.
Teng Zexi’s mind had dived into murky waters making his expression look blank. The girl’s scent had invaded his state of calmness, and he wished he could either push her down or force her off. But he dared not do any of these options. If he really did push her down, then her brothers would sure to use a literal nuclear bomb to explode him to pieces. Forcing her off was no good either, or rather, he couldn’t bear to.
In the end, Qin Huang clung to his neck while the driver took them to the Qin’s mansion, wearing a horrified and bewildered gaze. His master … was getting his tofu eaten, but didn’t show any sign of resisting. Were they finally getting their Madame?
His assumptions made him thrilled and scared at the same time. He was worried about what kind of personality their “Madame” would have, but he was more thrilled when he thought that he would be the first person to know about this shocking news.
When they arrived at a grandly built gate, Qin Huang only saw a dense forest right behind it. But as her observant eyes travelled, she caught the peaking pointy buildings that resembled a tower. Her eyes fluttered in surprise.
This wasn’t a mansion. This was a castle!!! She exclaimed together with Lily.
Technically, it was a castle. But through her third brother’s, Qin Jingyi’s, genius architecture and engineering, it had turned into a modernized castle. The windows were clear and blue while the structure was painted in light colours – it was a modern-fantasy castle.
Qin Huang was speechless inside. Even though she had seen it through her memories, it was definitely different to see a beautiful building up close. She continued to cling on Teng Zexi’s back and ignored his depressed expression. She leaned her chin on his shoulder as her eyes narrowed, glaring at the exquisitely carved door.
Teng Zexi had just arrived at the front door when Qin Huang suddenly got off his back and ran to the left side of the door. He couldn’t even form a single syllable when she had already jumped unto the rims of the window and into the second floor’s balcony. She swiftly entered and left behind the wildly flying curtains.
The gardener who was taking care of the plants outside the castle looked over, but his expression was one of understanding instead of the expected shock. Ah, so it was miss. Then he turned back and continued his work. Even the maids and butlers, who saw her actions, did not react and just calmly stood.
Teng Zexi’s driver was the only one who was dumbstruck. It seems their Madame was quite the … vivacious one?
Teng Zexi was not tired physically, but he was mentally challenged. He wanted to scold her for doing a dangerous stunt, but his instinct was telling him not to! However, he couldn’t continue dwelling in his thoughts as the doors of the mansion had opened.
A well-built man who taller than him appeared while wearing a terrifying expression. Teng Zexi sighed as if he lost a few years worth of his life.
Qin Huang had jumped towards the balcony that led to her bedroom. When she got there, she found that they had rearranged the fallen books, cleaned up the broken vases, and organized her furniture back to its place. All the evidence, that told the story of her “tantrum” before escaping to the bar, was gone.
She went to a full-body mirror, situated right beside her wardrobe, and stiffened at her appearance. Since she was wearing a tube and tight sleek pants, her body figure was completely enhanced – curves that many women could only dream of and a fairly white skin. She finally understood why Teng Zexi would stiffen every single time even though it wasn’t a direct skin contact.
‘Isn’t this body … a bit too sexy?’ Qin Huang couldn’t help but ask.
Lily tilted her head and wondered. But she found no problem with her master’s body. ‘I made a scan, but there’s no problem?’ She checked again to confirm. She did not understand the word “sexy” and had thought that it was a synonym for “sickly.” After all, they rhymed!
Qin Huang’s eyes softened. She made Lily show herself and healed her slightly distressed heart by tickling the poor rabbit into tears. Lily had no defence against her own master’s naughty hands and could only let her continue.
While they indulged themselves in their own world, the men downstairs were locked in a still of silence. In the magnificent living room, two men were sitting on the couch while the rest stood. Teng Zexi faced their overbearing aura head on and didn’t express the slightest bit of fear. Although he was worried, he showed none of it on the outside.
“What exactly happened?” A man with curly brown hair looked up from his large, thick book.
Another man behind him, with similarly brown hair but more on the dishevelled look, sneered. “What else? Our sister spent the night with him.”
The man who had let Teng Zexi in stared at them coldly, making them shrink their necks in fear. Then he turned to Teng Zexi who stubbornly met head to head with his presence despite his sweat forming on his forehead. His dissatisfaction lessened. “You said you were sending her home. What happened?”
Teng Zexi’s frigid body finally relaxed while a tired sigh escaped his mouth. He massaged the bridge of his nose, he started to explain. “She refused to peacefully come home.” Then, he told them about the strange roller boots that she was wearing, which made the only person left, had stayed silent, abruptly turn his head.
“She used the rollerblades?” Qin Zedong had a medium-length hair, and he stood behind an empty sofa.
Teng Zexi solemnly nodded. He also explained, on the surface level, their little “date” in the amusement park – saving the details as a secret instead. Teng Zexi continued his narration obediently and somehow looked like their proper brother-in-law.
They wanted to comment on this, but a sudden noise of a glass shattering startled them.
With synchronized movements, they all leapt unto the second floor – completely ignoring the stairs, and dashed towards Qin Huang’s room where the sound had come from.
The sight that met them was of a girl sitting on the cold floor with pieces of shattered glass surrounding her. She seemed to mindlessly pick up a piece and looked at it intensely. Who knew what she was contemplating about, but she moved the piece over her hand and pointed it’s sharp end to her skin.
“Huang mei!” Qin Zedong hastily caught her wrist and carefully pried the glass off, which she had actually gripped tightly that her palms were beginning to bleed.
The other four men were instantly panicking. While two of them went to find medical assistance, two of them joined in with Qin Zedong to comfort her.
