Army of True Salvation (English) - Chapter 33:Plan of Attack
Sheloah approached Sir Jim and he looked at her watch. He called the attention of the students. “Guys, 4:30. Break time. You’ve trained enough,” he said and the students let out a sigh of relief as most of them sat on the ground to rest.
Veon, Josh, and Tyler approached the two and it was obvious that they had trained too much. They had practically bathed in their sweat.
Sheloah smiled at the three boys. “How are you, guys? Here’s some water,” Sheloah said as she handed each one a bottle of water. They gratefully received it and drank it as they sat on the floor to rest.
Sheloah sat beside Veon, not minding his sweaty body. “How’s your class,” she asked and he looked at the girl.
“That’s good! So it means they’re prepared for tomorrow,” she said and Tyler suddenly spoke.
“We also taught the supports well. I know that on the next training, they’d do great!” Josh nodded in agreement.
Sir Erick and Isobel approached them. Isobel reminded them of their agenda.
“Hey, aren’t we guys leaving for Victory Liner soon,” said Isobel as she bumped Sheloah. She sat down beside her and Sir Erick sat down with them as well.
“I did a little enhancement on the guns that we’re going to use later,” he said as he handed Veon, Sheloah, and Sir Jim their guns. “I even gave a gun for your uncle, Sheloah,” he added and she thanked their social sciences teacher.
“Thank you, Sir Erick!” They all thanked him.
Sheloah’s uncle approached them, with Edward and Kenneth by his side. “I already called them and briefed them about the plan. They’d be with us, right,” Sheloah’s uncle said and they nodded at him. They all sat down with the group to have a final briefing about the plan.
“Kenneth and I would be the ones driving. That means, we’d have to go with you,” Edward said and Sir Jim looked at him.
“That goes without saying. Of course, you guys have to fight, too,” he added and Kenneth agreed.
“We have melee weapons with us too, Sir Jim,” Kenneth said as he showed the foldable spear Sir Erick had made.
“What would be the first thing that we should do,” Isobel asked as they now all focused on the upcoming plan.
“From what I know, we will first get Veon’s car from their house so we won’t be too crowded in one car. We can’t even use the service car because its speed is too slow,” Sheloah answered.
“Can’t we not really use the service car,” Kenneth asked and Veon looked at him.
“We really can’t. The car’s too slow. Today’s the second day of the zombie apocalypse. If yesterday we already saw a lot of zombies, what more today,” Veon said as Kenneth nodded at him slowly, understanding what he meant.
“How will we go to Veon’s house, then? We only have one car and there are quite a lot of us heading out. My uncle, Sir Erick, Sir Jim, Veon, me, Tyler, Sheloah, Isobel, Edward, and Kenneth. We’re ten in all,” Josh thought out loud and everyone went into thinking as well.
Sheloah looked at everyone seriously. “We have no choice. We have to use the service car no matter how slow it is. Only four people can go with uncle inside his car.” Everyone looked at her.
“I will drive the service car, then,” Kenneth volunteered and they all agreed to his suggestion.
Sir Erick looked at them. “Sheloah’s uncle will drive the other car. He would be with me, Sir Jim, Isobel and Edward. For the service car, Kenneth will drive and Sheloah, Veon, Tyler and Josh would be there.” He had given a good suggestion and everyone agreed on the spot.
“It’s up to you how to keep up, Kenneth. The service car’s quite slow now. Veon, you sit on the passenger’s seat so you could lead the driver towards your house,” Sheloah’s uncle said and Veon and Kenneth nodded at him in agreement.
“How about the plan of attack later,” Isobel asked as she looked at Sir Jim, expectant.
“The ones who have a gun would be me, Veon, Sheloah, Sir Erick, and Sheloah’s uncle. Tyler and Josh would have the spear and Isobel would be the healer. The setup is already okay,” Sir Jim said and Sheloah looked at him seriously.
“I can be a back up healer, too, in case Isobel can’t handle things on her own,” she said and they all nodded at her.
Sir Erick looked at his watch. “It’s almost 5PM. Let’s go,” he said as they all stood up.
“Let’s prepare what we need. After, we meet back here for the final check up of items,” Sir Jim suggested as they dispersed to get the things they needed for the plan.
