Army of True Salvation (English) - Chapter 52:Ace
In Australia, the apocalypse seemed to be controlled even though it was already the third day. They have already made a barricade to block off the zombies. They made a big wall for their protection. There were soldiers guarding the outer wall on a high tower.
“We’re looking for the next destination. Is it possible to go there,” Veon asked and his sister nodded.
“Yes. Your ate Ning-Ning and I will wait for you guys. Be careful, okay? I’m one of the head nurses here so I have connections with the officials. I’ll tell them of your arrival,” Veon’s sister said and they ended the call.
“You already heard the conversation that we had. We’re bound to Australia, then,” Veon said and everyone nodded at him.
“We’ll be needing a plane. Since we’re going to Manila, let’s use the planes at NAIA airport,” Josh said and everyone then started giving their opinions about the plan.
“How’s that? We don’t even have a pilot here,” Isobel said and everyone thought of what she said. She was right. They don’t know if any of the parents are pilots.
“There’s one parent here who’s a pilot. It would be his responsibility and it would be our responsibility to protect him. Sir Erick will be his assistant since he’s a fast learner. I’ll be their back up as well,” Sheloah’s uncle said and they continued forming their plan.
“Since we’re here in Pangasinan, we will reach Manila in approximately 6 hours if we travel straight,” Sir Erick said and everyone looked at Sheloah when she suddenly spoke.
“She’s right. We can’t travel too fast. We have to be careful,” Josh commented, agreeing with what Sheloah said.
“Let’s just do what we can. We can do this, anyway. We’re all in this together,” Tyler said and everyone nodded at him.
They were already finalizing the plan, especially their schedule. But of course, not everything will go according to plan 100% so they need to make adjustments if needed.
Their concentration suddenly got disrupted when Dean suddenly entered 7-Eleven, crying. Everyone was quite surprised to see him frustrated. His crying seemed to be because of his anger as well.
What had happened?
Everyone stood up when Dean banged the table.
“What happened,” Sheloah’s uncle asked and they all listened to Dean carefully. He was stammering in between his cries.
“Ace… h-he…” Dean suddenly knelt, banging his fists on the table as he cried. “Someone shot him just now. He…”
From how Dean acted, crying out loud and being angry at the same time, everyone now guessed the unexpected fate that landed on their classmate, Ace, one of the brave four volunteers of the class.
They have lost a trusted comrade.
