Army of True Salvation - Chapter 161:A Simple Yes or No
The zombie was burning up and what Kreiss said was right. The zombie didn’t die yet, but it is indeed effective and they could deal damage to it now.
Sheloah and Kreiss just stood there while Veon and Shannara continued on shooting the zombie. The flame was about to extinguish and once it is already gone, Kreiss and Sheloah can now attack.
Kreiss looked at Sheloah. “Ready, princess,” he asked and Sheloah nodded.
The both of them held their katanas tightly the moment the flame disappeared. The both of them ran and Sheloah impaled the body of the zombie while Kreiss focused on beheading it. Once the blade of Kreiss’ katana went through the zombie’s neck, he found it difficult to slice through.
Kreiss looked at the girl with him. “Sheloah, now!”
The moment Sheloah heard his signal, she removed her katana and also impaled the zombie’s neck. In one direction, both of them sliced the zombie’s head forcefully, making the zombie lose consciousness.
The zombie’s head was now completely detached from its neck. The zombie fell on its knees and blood started spraying and flowing from his neck, making Kreiss and Sheloah bathe in some of its blood so they quickly ran away, avoiding the blood bath.
Shannara and Veon ran towards them with a garden hose at hand. They both bathed Sheloah and Kreiss, washing off the blood on them.
Finally… they are done with this battle.
Sheloah looked at Shannara then spoke. “We pulled it off,” she said and Shannara nodded.
“If it wasn’t because of your plan, we wouldn’t have done this together,” he said, admitting that most of this was Kreiss’ idea.
“Let’s head back then,” Shannara said and everyone nodded except Kreiss. The three looked at him and noticed that he was frowning.
“Why, what’s wrong,” Sheloah asked and Kreiss just shrugged his shoulders.
“I guess I’ll come with you guys. Anyway, we owe each other our lives,” he said and Veon looked at him.
“I’d agree to that… as long as you don’t do anything weird,” Veon said and Kreiss laughed a bit then walked towards him.
“So tell me, Veon,” Kreiss trailed off and he smirked. “Do you love Sheloah?”
The three who were around were also surprised to have heard this from a stranger—a person they were not that close with.
“Why ask that? It’s none of your business,” Veon said sharply and Kreiss shrugged.
“It’s just a simple yes or no,” the mischievous boy said and Veon just looked at him, giving him a warning. This made Kreiss scoff.
“If that’s the case…”
Kreiss looked at Sheloah and he gave her a smile. This made Sheloah shudder.
“Er… what,” the girl asked weakly, knowing full well of how flirtatious he was. Kreiss walked slowly to Sheloah and what he did made everyone’s eyes open wide.
He pulled Sheloah’s shirt and his lips intentionally landed on hers.
Sheloah’s eyes were wide open and her heart was also pounding hard. Instead of having butterflies in her stomach, she felt like having dragons firing flames inside!
Sheloah quickly pushed Kreiss and the boy just gave her a chuckle. She saw Veon and Shannara’s reaction and both of them were flabbergasted as well.
‘Why did he kiss me?’
Sheloah looked at the handsome boy in front of her. “Y-you…”
She was literally speechless. But she was left silenced with what Kreiss said next.
“I love you, princess.”
‘What?’
Sheloah just stood in place, staring at the guy in front of her. Kreiss suddenly held Sheloah by the waist and this made Sheloah go back to her senses.
“Hey!”
Sheloah was pushing Kreiss away but because of his strength, she was not able to escape from him.
Shannara’s mouth was opened wide; like the scene in front of her just couldn’t sink in! Whilst for Veon… his expression was unreadable.
“Sorry, Veon.” Kreiss suddenly spoke and Veon looked at him. “I had to make my move,” he added and Sheloah looked at Kreiss, confused and surprised. “I have to take this opportunity while I still have the chance,” he said finally and now Veon looked at him with anger in his eyes.
