Army of True Salvation - Chapter 180:But It's Inevitable
Sheloah learned a lot from Kreiss and Geof. Kreiss taught Sheloah how to evade and how to knock zombies down to slow their movements.
Geof suggested that Sheloah has to wait for the zombies to come to her so that she won’t have to move too much. She was told to target the head first. If they are too many, target the feet then kill the others before killing those who were knocked down.
The three started sparring with each other and Geof and Kreiss were teaching Sheloah some moves from time to time for her improvement.
The sniper team consists of John, Dannie, and Ashley. The three of them train on the rooftop and target on trees far from them. They, however, shouldn’t use most of the bullets of the rifle since they don’t have stock on bullets for it.
It was already 10:37AM, and the training is still ongoing. Sheloah kept hearing a lot of different things as they were training. There were melee weapons crashing into each other, there were reloading of guns, and there were medics talking with each other.
Hearing this, Sheloah hoped that not all of them would die one by one… but it’s inevitable.
The girl sighed, then decided to lie down under the tree’s shade. Geof and Kreiss sat beside her, resting as well.
“My arm stiffened,” Kreiss said as he put his katana down. “Let’s hope that this pain would stop or else, we may find it difficult to attack,” he added and Geof nodded.
“I agree. Mine is aching, too. We have to put oil on it this evening. I think we should stop training for now or else we might overwork ourselves,” Geof suggested and the two with him nodded.
“Guys,” Veon called their attention and they all looked at him. Sheloah sat up slowly, wincing in pain a bit because of how painful her arm is at the moment.
“What’s up,” Sheloah asked and Veon answered.
“We are being called by your uncle and Sir Erick. We are going to finalize the plan with everyone,” he said then everyone stood, then followed Veon as they walked towards the crowd.
They are still in Tarlac and the atmosphere here is definitely different from Baguio’s. In Baguio, most of the days it’s cooler but in the provinces such as this, it is really hot.
That’s why in the Philippines, they have a joke saying that the country has three seasons: hot, hotter, and hottest. In the month of March, it would already be summer. So now, since February is about to end, they are already in the “hotter” season.
Sheloah observed her surroundings and she noticed that most boys had their shirt off and that their pants are rolled up. For the girls, most of them are in ponytail and they were already wearing lose shirts and shorts.
Sheloah sat with the crowd. She was with the boys, too. She looked at the people in front of her and noticed that it was Isobel, Shannara, Tyler, and Dannie. Ashley is with them, too.
“Everyone, I want your full attention,” he said then everyone’s eyes were on him then he started speaking.
