Army of True Salvation - Chapter 31:Are We Psychopaths?
There were a lot of supports in front of Tyler. All of them were boys. There were two supports each group that is why Tyler and Josh had double the population.
The only problem is that how will the two boys teach them? How will they start?
Sir Erick was with them as he gave everyone their own spear with a blade on its end. This will be the main weapon made for the supports.
Tyler and Josh were the only ones allowed to use the guns but it will only be used as a last resort.
They had only brought enough guns for the attackers that is why there were no guns given to the supports.
Their classmates were holding their spears and examined it. It was their first time holding this kind of weapon that’s why they sort of looked ignorant.
Josh remembered when he and Tyler first held their spears. They didn’t seem too ignorant as how their classmates looked just now. Maybe it was because of the games they played and the animes they’ve watched. It was like they were already used to violence.
Josh stopped thinking for a while as he thought of this then he mumbled softly to himself.
“Are we psychopaths?”
He looked at Tyler who was holding his spear and he was quite surprised to see him touching the blade on the end.
“Hey, don’t touch it too much! You’ll hurt yourself,” he said and Tyler only looked blankly at him.
“Not to worry! I know what I’m doing—”
He didn’t get to finish when suddenly, he pricked his thumb on the blade and it started bleeding. Josh made a facepalm at the scene.
“Oh, snap…” Tyler shook his hand as it bled and Josh shook his head at him.
“I just told you,” he said and Tyler was chuckling.
Josh looked at his classmates seriously and he started talking. “Guys, sorry in advance if we’re not that good at teaching but we will try our best to teach you all in the best way we can.”
Tyler wiped his bleeding thumb on this shirt and spoke as well. “We will teach you the basics. The motto of the supports would be: ‘shut up, stab, and kill’,” he said and their classmates nodded at him.
“Because Tyler and I have been supports, the usual thing we do is to stab the zombies straight on the head. If not stab, we hit them hard on the head,” Josh explained and one of their classmates raised their hand to ask a question.
“What if we can’t successfully hit a zombie on the head? What should we do?”
“If they will run towards you, get ready, raise your spear, and you get your timing right into aiming it in their torso to impale them. The others will attack on the head. But if things come to worse, then you just hit and run as much as possible,” Tyler answered and their classmates nodded at them.
“If there are no more questions, let us proceed. We will teach the other methods,” Josh said as their classmates started to focus.
“Don’t hold the edge. As much as possible, hold the spear almost to its middle,” Tyler said as he corrected them.
“What Tyler said is true. Also, if you’re not quick enough to attack, once you look back, you might die. Why? Zombies might’ve bitten you by then so you have to act quick before it happens,” Josh added and some of their classmates looked panicked.
“Okay… now we start with the other attacks,” Tyler said as he started teaching his classmates some attack moves that he and Josh knows.
