Army of True Salvation - Chapter 68:Sabre of Aegis
Veon was inside the hotel room of Tyler and Josh. He was at the veranda with the boys, catching some breath. He looked at the time and noticed that it was already 1:42 in the afternoon. He sighed as he looked anxiously at the scene in front of him.
‘Where the hell is Sheloah? Why hasn’t she returned yet?’
He was a little annoyed by the thought that Sheloah had not yet returned for lunch time. Knowing Sheloah, she could act reckless anytime. This worried Veon at the same time.
Isobel walked towards Veon and bumped his shoulder. “Where’s your girlfriend?” She intentionally teased Veon because everyone had been teasing them as a couple.
“Sheloah and I are just friends,” Veon said and Isobel laughed.
“What? Did I even say that it was even Sheloah? You’re so defensive,” she said and bumped his shoulder again as she laughed. Even though they weren’t telling who exactly is the person they are teasing him with, he always knew it was Sheloah.
Veon sighed once more and everyone now looked at him as they realized his worry skyrocketing. The three, Tyler, Josh, and Isobel, shared a look with each other, understanding that he was indeed worried about Sheloah’s whereabouts.
‘Where are you!? Your boyfriend’s getting angry!’

At the riverside, Sheloah was panting and sweating due to the training she had with Geof. She sat on the ground to rest and drank the water Geof gave her.
“Thank you for today,” Sheloah said and Geof smiled at her.
As the two of them were resting, Sheloah looked at her katana once more and studied it carefully. She suddenly spoke after a minute.
“A sword causes death, right,” she said and Geof nodded at her.
“It’s deadly,” he commented and Sheloah looked at him.
“For me, it’s life.”
“I use this weapon to protect the people I love, therefore, keeping them alive,” Sheloah said and Geof looked at her, expectant of what she is to say.
“Sabre, another word for sword. Aegis, another word for protection,” she added and she lifted up her own katana. “This is my sabre of aegis… my blade of protection.”
Geof chuckled a little when he heard completely the girl’s explanation.
“You’d really do anything for the people you love, Sheloah.”
