ART Of Survival - Chapter 3
*Pant* *Pant* Unable to bear the sudden turn of events Mal started panting. “What…calm down Mal, calm down,” Mal said to himself. He sat down and looking at the sky thinking about something until he fell asleep. (Auth:- Bruh you were sleeping for 5 years -_-).
He woke up again with the sound of sirens and people screaming, without even looking outside he ran towards his closet and pulled out a trekking bag, and then he started stuffing things inside. “I have to be ready for everything,” he thought. When he was asleep a while ago he had a dream, it was something that can be the worst thing that has ever happened to humanity even worse than the X virus that killed his parents and the other 40% of the world’s population. Thinking about the dream Mal shuddered as he quickened his actions. “I should be ready for the worst possible outcome,” he thought.
*Ahhhhhh…* (High pitched screaming noise) “what the fuck was that?!!!” Mal said out loud. He slowly moved towards the source of the noise that was the window and he peeked outside, Mal rubbed his eyes as if not believing what he was seeing. He saw his neighbor turning into something gruesome, there was a horn coming out of his forehead and all of his body was growing creepy-looking greenish hair and underneath the hair, his limbs were growing and his palm turned webbed like the legs of a swan. There was only his screeching voice that was resonating inside Mal’s head. After some time the neighbor whose name was Donald (Auth:- Idk why I am giving the neighbor name now should have in the last chapter.) stopped screaming and some steam was coming out of his body. Mal was still staring at the creature in front of him who was no longer a human to say at the least. Donald moved a little as he wriggled his neck a little which was now a foot long. He moved his head and he met Mal’s eyes. Looking at the creature looking at him Mal froze as he hurriedly moved his head down afraid that he will be eaten by the monster.
Mal moved towards his drawing table and stuffed the last of his belongings that were his drawing file and his pencil case, after taking the bag he moved towards the innermost corner of the room and sat down with his head down and the bag beside him. Finally, the mask of indifference he was wearing broke apart as he started crying until he heard a loud sound inside his head again, it was as if he was standing right beside a church bell but a lot worse. closing his ears with his hands he screamed at the top of his lungs until the sound finally subsided.
Only a second had passed since the sound subsided but, Mal was panting and sweating like a dead dog, his face was pale and he had goosebumps all over his body. It was the worst pain he had ever felt, but it was as if after fainting for the first time before, he had developed a little bit of resistance against pain therefore this time he didn’t faint, but still, he did felt the PAIN. Unable to hold himself more he stood up washed his face tied his long black hair into a bun and stepped outside his house. This was the first time he was going out in the last 10 years of lockdown.
Mal was now 19 years old. 19 years old boy in the past would have been someone in the peak of his youth, filled with vigor and confidence but, Mal was not like that, he had a mature looking expression on his face which didn’t complimented his handsome visage at all, he was nervous and somewhat loss as of what to do now.
After exiting the house, he took a deep breath, and to his surprise, the air was very fresh, almost as if it was rejuvenating his body. He put a mask on his face and started walking cautiously towards the main road, but there was very tall grass filling up the road, it was almost impossible to see the main road when standing on the street. Mal took out a machete from his bag and started cutting his way through the grass. The place where he used to live with his parents before moving in the city was farmland therefore they had all sorts of tools with them, Mal had brought the favorite toolset of his parents with him as a memento at that time, who would have they would come in handy like this. Besides the machete, he had a small knife a hammer and a katana which, according to his parents belonged to Mal’s great grandfather. This katana was very special to his family.
After 10 minutes of chopping grass he finally made out of the street and what he was met with was like the worst nightmare anyone could ever have. There were people or creatures all around the road. some were crying and some were jumping from here to there destroying everything and even hurting themselves. There were also some people who were on fire, some were stuck in ice, some head their whole body except their head inside the ground. It was total chaos. After witnessing what he had once seen in a horror apocalypse movie, he took a step back, slowly ran towards a dark corner, and stuffed his mouth with his bag so that no voice can come from his mouth. He was contemplating his decision of going outside.
*Slap*He slapped his face to bring himself back to reality, he stood up took a deep breath, and slowly started moving towards the road, but he stopped when he saw a giant black colored sphere coming out of the portal in the sky, it had bulging veins on its surface and the thing was somewhat pulsating. “It’s over, we are doomed.” Mal thought. The sphere suddenly opened to reveal an eye. The huge thing in the sky was in fact a fucking eye.
“SILENCE” *Boom* a voice came out of the eye, the voice was so powerful and commanding that Mal fell down on his knees kneeling. He had his head down and he felt a huge pressure inside his body trying to find something but, after some time it left Mal’s body. The pressure inside was gone but the pressure he was feeling mentally was not letting Mal stand up. After much difficulty, Mal moved his head up to see everyone on the road were the same and magically every creature was turning back into a human again, every person who was stuck in various ‘elements’ was getting out of them.
As Mal was digesting all that was happening around him another sentence came out of the eye. “Humans of Planet X69” (Auth:- Noice) “Rejoice as finally, you have joined the great Abyssal system of planets and your planet is one of the 70 planets that are ruled by Humans, the ‘X’ Planet system which is one of the similar smaller systems which resides in the Great Abyssal System. Your system X is ruled by citizens of Planet X1. Further details will be provided by the representative of planet X1.
