Assassins Creed System - Chapter 2 Rebirth

Back to present time, I am now lying within an expanse of darkness. Although it is dark it isn’t cold, it is actually warm and comforting. I tried moving before but it didn’t work, it was as if I didn’t even have any limbs but I didn’t panic because I didn’t care as the conditions weren’t all that bad except for the darkness. I didn’t really get much chance to get bored anyway as I slept most of the time.

After about four months I began to notice that I could hear muffled voices as if I was listening from underwater. It was also at this time that I began to notice that the dark space was getting smaller… or I was getting bigger. From the amount of reincarnation novels and fan-fics I read I could put the pieces together and conclude that I had been reborn, although I don’t know if it is going to be the same world or not yet.

Another two months has passed and I am seriously getting bored if I am not sleeping or cultivating. Oh, yeah. I tried focusing and checking if there was any foreign energy I could sense and thankfully I could which meant I wasn’t on Earth and was in another world. Circulating the energy took a lot out of me and every time I finished a circulation session I slept for a long time however the energy within me grew massively after every session. What I noticed though was that I couldn’t access all of the energy as if there was some sort of stopper on it.

Waiting for my birth I had just woken up after yet another session and just as I was ruminating over where I was I heard a sound from somewhere yet there shouldn’t be any noise in here. For a second I thought it might have been from outside as over the months there had been plenty of sounds from fighting and other things.

Hearing it more clearly now I get excited as not only did I just get a system but it was call the Assassins Creed System. ‘Okay, Okay. Calm down.’.

I had to think it as I couldn’t actually speak yet and I assumed from all the novels I read that it could be activated from thought and I am certainly not going to be dumb and forget like those MC’s that had apparently also read reincarnation novels but couldn’t figure out that they didn’t need to talk out loud to activate their system. The voice from the system actually sounded like the voice from the animus on the multiplayer.

‘Is there a possibility you can influence what my name will become?’

[Difficult but not impossible. I will do everything I can by subtly influencing your mother to think of the name you wish. What name do you want?]

Just as I was about to ponder about why the system had paused after I mentioned Altair but my birth kinda got in the way. It was so painful being born it felt as I was being squashed to death but eventually I made it out and cried like a normal baby. I also noticed that I can’t think of things that are too complex for my brain at the moment as it overloads my brain with information and exhausts me mentally.

Stopping my crying I realise that I wasn’t being put into the arms of my mother instead there were people rushing past the nurse that was holding me surrounding my mother. Before I could make out too much from the situation I hear a tired and fading voice call out in the room.

“His…name is…Altair… … …”

From what I could make out was that for some reason she had died due to the birth. Losing my mother once again I cry out in grief surprising the people in the room as I could tell that she had died without ‘knowing’ she was gone yet.

‘The child has chakra equal to an academy student on the cusp breaking through their first gate’

‘Lets get him put in the orphanage for now’

I commanded everyone to leave except for the nurse handling the newborn child. Looking at the nurse I asked the situation of the family and she told me that they were people seeking refuge as they had heard rumour of the fourth mizukage cleansing the land of water of kekkei genkai clans.

Hearing this I immediately thought that they could be from a kekkei genkai clan but the child has no noticeable tell tales of a kekkei genkai.

‘Lets just leave that for the future, if he does show that he has a kekkei genkai we can invoke the law for him to take wives to largen his clan’.

‘I also need to make sure Danzo doesn’t get his hands on the child, kekkei genkai or not, as the child proves to be talented due to the chakra within his system at the moment. It also feels like that he actually has more chakra but it is locked up somehow but he can’t have any seals on him as he was just born and he is definitely not a jinchuriki as they are all accounted for.’

“Nurse, once he has been checked take him in under the name of…”

“Altair sir, it was the name the mother asked us to choose”

“Very well, after he has been checked take him to the orphanage under the name of Altair”

Finishing up this affair I turn around and leave with my anbu leaving one behind to watch out for him to make sure he stays out of Danzo’s clutches.
