Astrid The Hybrid Princess - Chapter 317 Gossip Trio
CHAPTER 317
Astrid turned around with Snow in her arms, only to find Jareth standing at the same spot she left him at before with his hands crossed in front of his chest, watching them.
“You sure have spoilt him too much.”
“I could say the same for you, hmph.” Snow stated.
Astrid could not hold in her laughter and let it out. Jareth eyed both of them and just shook his head. He knew they had said something about him.
‘Naughty master and beast!’ Jareth remarked in his mind and walked away.
“Hey, where are you going to?” Astrid asked after her laughter had died down.
“We have a long day ahead tomorrow. Time to sleep.”
“What is planned out for tomorrow?”
“Our journey continues and your training would continue the day after to give your body and powers sometime to adjust and rest.”
“Okay.”
“You should get some rest too. You just strained yourself.”
“I think I am hungry. I would eat first then get some rest after.”
“I was talking to the little beast over there.”
“What!”
“Pff, it was Jareth’s turn to laugh but he let out a soft chuckle and looked at her. “I was talking to you. Also, allow Snow to rest. He barely had enough sleep since you passed out.”
“Oh,” Astrid’s lips curved closer as she fixed her gaze back at Snow.
“Hmm. Relax, I would get you the food and clean water to drink before I scout the area and we can rest for the night.”
“Okay, thanks.”
“Anytime.”

~OUTLAW’S VILLAGE~
Some hours ago, Prince Terrence and his troop came upon the little village Astrid and Jareth stayed in during their journey and decided to check if they were there or even captured by the inhabitants.
“Your highness,” Aelfdene called Terrence and rode closer to him.
“Yes?”
“Don’t you find it strange that a village can be found here? We have no clue on which of the races it does belong to. Isn’t it too dangerous to be walking further? What if it is a trap from the other races?” Aelfdene questioned.
“I have thought carefully about everything. We would head for the village and seek her out. If it is a trap, then we would be preparing ourselves for any surprise attacks. Not to talk of, we have the advantage of numbers.”
“True, your highness. You speak the true fact.”
“We march on,” Terrence added and they continued on their journey.

While this was going on outside, the villagers were unaware of the new visitors they would be receiving soon and went about their daily works.
“Hey Katrina, do you think Master Clive has gotten over his lust for Astrid now?” Elena asked.
Both Katrina and Sabrina stopped with what they were doing weaving cloth and looked at Elena who still did not remove her hands from the stack of materials she was arranging.
“With you or with whom?”
“This time both Elena and Katrina turned their heads towards Sabrina. “What is with the look? I did not say anything strange if you ask me.”
“No one asked you, Sabrina,” Elena quickly countered her words.
“Pff, I speak the truth because I do not see much of the change though. He still looks gloomy except when he lays eyes on her.”
“Me?”
“Yes, you, Katrina.”
“No way.”
“You two cannot tell me you have not noticed how his mood changes when he is in her presence.”
“Well, I cannot say I have not noticed it,” Elena agreed and let out a soft breath. “You see, the matters of the heart are one that is not easy to understand. I do not understand Clive though but I do hope he resolves his lust for Astrid fast and move on.”
“With whom?” Katrina could not help but ask.
“With you of course,” both ladies chorused their answer.
“You wish. Focus on what you are doing and stop gossiping.”
“Oh, now it is gossip because it involves you huh? When it was about Astris and Jareth and the love bites he gave her, it wasn’t gossiping.”
“Hey, you started that discussion back then,” Katrina fired.
“Did not,” Elena refuted her words.
“Did too.”
“Pff, even if I did. I only stated a fact that her hickey was visible while you two, escalated the issue. I never said you should expatiate on the subject matter.” Elena placed her arms on her waist as she spoke.
She was undeniably right.
Back then when Jareth and Astrid had their time together, they had seen the marks on Astrid’s neck that obviously only Jareth could and would have caused and gossiped about it.
They also talked about how their love life was so cute, thinking they did the deed, not knowing that they were interrupted during their intimate session.
If only Astrid was there to hear them now, she would blush a crimson red because of it.
“Speaking of Astrid,” Sabrina said, breaking those two from their argument. “I wonder how she is now and if that Cari is still trying to steal her from Jareth.”
“I bet not.” They arched their brows at Katrina this time around.
“And your reason would be?” Sabrina questioned her.
“After what almost happened to her, I do not think Jareth would let any other man, beast, elf or merman have her again or come close to her. Did you see how angry he was when he fought Clive? The first time when he won the right to be with her here, he did it with all he got.”
“And the second time, he looked like he would kill Clive for even laying his hands on Astrid, if not that she stopped him before it was too late,” Elena added.
“Exactly. If Cari knows what is good for him, he would stay away from Astrid or them as a whole and leave the couple alone.”
“They are not married,” Sabrina stated.
“And whose side are you on, young lady?” Katrina arched her brows at her friend, leaving what she was doing.
“Theirs of course.”
“Hmm… I would have…”
BOOOOOHH!!
All three ladies stopped what they were doing and saying at the sound of the horn been blown.
