Astrid The Hybrid Princess - Chapter 333 An Eye For An Eye
CHAPTER 333
Her eyes fluttered with an enchanting smile in them as she asked her question. “Did I scare you?”
“You wish.”
“I think I did scare the bratty princess if I did not scare you.” Both of them turned their heads to the side and caught Kaia trying to brace herself up.
“Boo!” Like a rushing wave, Isadora used the water to push her air bubble forward in a fast motion, scaring the life out of Kaia but rather than flinch, Kaia, stood her ground and did not back down.
She raised her head so she was now looking at Isadora eyeball to eyeball through the air bubble.
“Hahhaha hahaha..” The same sickening laughter rang out again, causing Kaia to tremble a bit.
“I like you. You can shun your fear and put up a brave front. Good but lacking. A princess should never fear. Didn’t your mother teach you that simple thing?” Isadora taunted.
“Watch your mouth, Isadora,” Kaia spat out in anger.
“Queen Isadora to you!” Isadora shot back before letting a cute and genuine pained smile form on her lips. “I was wondering what had cut your bratty tongue off. It seems it was only waiting for what to let it out from the cage you call a mouth.”
Kaia who felt insulted clenched her fists so hard at the things Isadora had said.
If not for the fact that she needed to control her anger and not give the fairy half breed the satisfaction, she would have dealt with her using her powers that Isadora would have to beg her to stop.
“I wonder what brother saw in you anyway.”
“And not another word about Eric. You knew nothing about him from the looks of things and he was nowhere near as terrible as you two are. He was good and he saw well.” They could insult her all they want but any word against those she loved and held dearly in her heart was worst than insulting her.
“Do not soil his memories with that filth you call a mouth,” Marceline barked at her. Like Kaia, Isadora did not flinch but shot her a cold glare instead.
“Soil, he loved every way in which I called his name. I suppose you wouldn’t understand it. Now to what do I owe this unannounced, unwelcome visit.” Isadora cut them short before anyone could speak and asked her question.
She was not in the mood to play games with them. She needed to dispatch them quickly and continue with what she was doing.
Her daughter was in danger and she needed to warn her one way or the other.
“I am glad you brought that up. What is the meaning of what you are trying to do, Isadora? Need I remind you that there is no escape from this prison.”
“Oh, but I wasn’t trying to escape. I was just keeping myself company. You know how bored it is to stay in one ace for twenty years, don’t you? Ah!” She made a show with her pointy finger as though something came to mind.
She was almost like a crazed person and for the first time, Marceline felt a sense of fear from listening to her.
The way she yelled, the water carried the sound with it, bringing it loud into their ears and sending the dread the way it was.
Everyone kept quiet, no one spoke. They were all still processing what was happening.
Isadora took a deep breath to calm herself and pushed the air bubbles back, leaning against it. She was tired. Honestly too tired but she was patient. It would soon be over.
“So your thought to amuse yourself was by sending underwater wave vibrations towards Alacia?”
“Aren’t we already in Alacia? I just wanted to give them a timely gift as their guest. I realize that over the years I had not been doing that. It would be nice to start.”
“Are you trying to make yourself known?” Marceline spat angrily at her, moving closer to the prison bars.
“That’s right. Shouldn’t your people know that they have had the fairy queen has their guest for years now?”
“No, they are not your target. You want the magic realm to know/”
“Pff! Nice idea, Marceline. I never thought of that.” Isadora clasped both hands together and mockingly clapped for her.
“Now I can make bigger vibrations and cause stronger waves. Do not blame me if your kingdom gets washed away by it.”
“You wish, you fairy nuisance.”
“Tsk, tsk, trashy mouth like your daughter’s. Come on, come at me. Your mistake was leaving my hands free. Now I can do whatever I want.”
“Throw whatever waves and I could calm it. Know this, you can never break free until I say so. Which of course I know won’t happen because you are too stubborn to accept defeat. Just you wait till I have your hybrid in my hands.”
“If you touch a single hair on her body, I would make you regret the day you took in.”
“I’d love to see you try.”
“I do not make empty promises, Marceline. I was blamed for Eric’s death when I did nothing other than love him dearly. Now, I would make sure I take your last offspring away from you with my own hands like you took my mother from me.”
“You wouldn’t dare.”
“Touch her and see.”
“I will.”
“Then do not blame me for being ruthless. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a daughter for a daughter. It is just a shame she has you for a grandmother.”
Isadora spat those last words harshly at her then turned her back to them and folded her arm in front of her chest.
She was sad now. Sad that she had lost so much time to be with her child because of the people she should have cherished if all things were well.
Marceline did not speak any words to counter hers. She was going to get Astrid at all means and make Isadora pay.
