Astrid The Hybrid Princess - Chapter 349 Finally Found You
CHAPTER 349
With eyes locked on each other, Terrwnce’s lips curved upwards and a triumphant smile broke out on his lips.
“Hello, Blade.”
“I told you, he is a traitor.” Nerissa half yelled at Astrid but her gaze remained locked on the elven prince seated on his white mane.
“Brother,” Jareth replied and Astrid’s eyes went wide. She swallowed slowly.
She needs no telling who the person on the horse was as she could see the family resemblance all too well and if Jareth had called him brother, then that would only mean that the elven princess that chased after her as his sister as well.
That would therefore mean that Jareth was royalty and indeed a traitor like her aunt called him.
“Well done, Blade. You lead us to her and made catching her easy. I have finally found you.” Terrence shifted his gaze to Astrid, his wanton smile still decorated his face, causing that signature little divot between Astrid’s brows.
“You are cornered hybrid. There is no escape anymore,” Terence said out loud, hoping to instil fear in her.
“You are not going to capture me.” Even though she said those words, she knew that her chances were slim as no longer were they just a few elves but now, all the troops had invaded their little camp.
Left for Astrid, it would it be a problem to take everyone out, but being the goody-two-shoes that she was, she couldn’t.
While that was a problem, she also knew what White-Fire had said about danger with her emotions going out of control and all.
She really needed to put a key on her powers and learn how to better control them so she would not feel helpless in any situation again.
“Oh dear, I already have.” Terrence words drew her back from her thoughts, bringing her to reality and the danger of her situation.
Nerissa’s eyes moved between each and every Elven soldier and watched for whom wanted to attack.
Right before their eyes, while each of them looked at the greater threat, they failed to see the threat coming their way.
The time which Astrid knew what was happening, it was too late as the next moment, something shining flew in her direction. It happened so fast that neither she nor Jareth who knew nothing about what was planned could react on time.
CLAMP
A metal collar clammed round Astrid’s neck before she could react and the twinkling blue light surrounding her fingertips suddenly faded away. She was wondering how something like that could happen so fast and why none of them noticed it before it happened?
Nerissa acted next as she saw something flying towards Astrid and shot her magic in their direction but Terrence had thought it through and all the soldiers raised their shield and blocked it.
Taking that moment of distraction, Nerissa sprinted towards Astrid, that was when she noticed the colour and her eyes opened wide.
It was as though all colour was drained off Nerissa’s face at that instant.
She did not wait for anything and threw another wave of attack at them they quickly blocked again. While all this was happening, Jareth stood rooted to the spot and that only angered Nerissa the more and she attacked him, causing the latter to take several steps away from them.
In turn, her actions had drawn her away from Astrid again and she quickly picked their bags, then turned back to see that the elves already had their shield down faster than the last time.
‘Damn it.’
Astrid who saw this and the next attack that was to happen as some elves strung their bows and arrows, she raised her hand, ready to blast them off in one go, but rather than her powers to pull at the centre of her hands, nothing came forth.
She tried again and still nothing, she shot Snow a confused look and her eyes met with same confused ones like hers.
“What is happening?”
“You can kiss attacking with your powers goodbye.” He raised a hand and dropped it. Following his directives, the soldiers released their arrows at once and shot it at Nerissa.
“NOO!”
Astrid yelled as she watched about fifteen arrows fly in Nerissa’s direction.
“Terrence stop!” Jareth called out but it was too late. Following the shock of Astrid’s disrupted magic, as she had feared, Nerissa was caught off guard and before she could create a magic shield to cover herself up, the arrows came flying down.
Luckily for her, she was able to deflect some while the others made their mark on her body.
“Nooo!!”
Astrid screamed at the sight. Within seconds, Nerissa was already covered in blood from the many arrows piercing her body.
She had two on each thigh, two on her belly and one on her left hand. Snow rushed to stand in front of Nerissa and flared his wings and fangs, flapping the wings continuously and gathering enough wind in front of them.
He was ready for the attack if they tried anything.
Nerissa blinked several times, she could hear the panic in her baby’s voice and she knew that things were not looking good. She managed to look down on her body to see the blood dripping down her body slowly.
Her vision blurred, that coupled with Astrid’s screams her ears began to buzz and everything fuzzy.
She coughed a mouthful of blood out and raised her right hand, pointing towards Snow who was in front of her guarding her.
“Tak…” she coughed again, spitting much blood out. Astrid could not hold it back any longer, and let the tears stream out as she took a step in Nerissa’s direction.
“Don’t come.”
Swoosh!
An arrow was shot a few inches from where she stood. Astrid shifted her gaze o who had shot the arrow and saw Terrence with a bow in his hands as they came down.
“Not another step, hybrid.”
“Snow, take Astrid and run!” Nerissa managed to let out quickly, causing the little beast to stop what he was doing and look at her.
She coughed once and her eyes dropped closed. Right in Astrid’s presence, she watched as Nerissa’s body gave way and fell to the ground.
The horror was too much and she screamed her lungs out. Everything was happening so fast and became hard to think. “No!”
