Awakened: Evolving to Godhood - Chapter 297
Theo shook his head in disappointment. He was disappointed in the spies of the resistance.
“Anyway, we can’t let them come to us, so we’ve to close the doorways in planet Earth. I am planning to go there and start clearing up one monster kingdom after another, and if possible, I hope you can get me some subordinates.” Elliot said to Instructor Leonardo.
Elliot had wanted to do many things. But he had no
choice but to put his desires and plans on hold to save his world and thrash the conquest of the insidious demonic gods. He had no intention of giving up planet Earth; not only was It his roots, but it was also a planet rich in resources!
“I will make it possible; just give me two months.” Instructor Leonardo had lost his footing in the organization after getting injured. He didn’t have the authority to pick up powerful resistors and make them serve Elliot. He still held a lot of power, but a tail without its head was useless as fuck.
“Two weeks,” Elliot said in a demanding voice.
“It’s too short.” He replied
“Transfer the people I select over to me. Can you do that?” Elliot asked.
“It’s possible.” Instructor Leonardo had people in the association, so it wasn’t going to be a pain in the ass to hand magicians to him.
“I will send you a list of names in three days.”
Their conversation ended there.
“I’m going there too,” Theo said, the fire of determination vivid in his eyes.
He wanted to actively participate in the closing of the doorways as he had some old scores to settle.
Theo and the demonic gods went way back. The hatred he had for them was tens of thousands of times greater than Elliot’s.
The cause of his immense hatred lay in his past.
Theo had to leave his home, come to the civilizations graveyard, and mingle with humans because of the damned demonic gods!
The demonic gods had invaded his planet, killed his people, and taken over his world. He was weak and could do nothing. They wanted to corrupt the world’s will to take away the planet core, which was a material used to create and upgrade war weapons of mass destruction, some so strong that they would find no trouble in destroying a planet. Lorena’s will, however, had other choices. It picked Theo as its successor and put the planet core in his remarkable eyes that were so strong that they could near the strain of merging with a planet core.
His eyes mutated, gaining the ability to give and to take away.
He became so powerful that he injured a demonic god!
However, everything came with a price, and the cost of using those eyes was his life.
Killing a demonic god left him weak, exhausted, and out of vitality.
The demon took that chance to attack him.
However, the will of Lorena helped protect him and helped send him away.
With the help of the will of Lorena that gave him his unique eyes, vitality, and current life, Theo managed to escape. Otherwise, he would’ve died there, too, like many of his brethren.
After coming to the civilization graveyard, Theo had found himself in one of the four forbidden wilderness of Xavier that was full of terrifying monsters. With the help of his eyes, he killed whoever aimed for his life, and after two years, he killed the guardian of the great passage and exited the forbidden area.
Then, Theo came across the elven branch of the resistance organization and joined it. Although he officially became a resistor two years after most of his people, he knew in his heart that he had become a resistor since the day the demonic gods destroyed the Avalon Empire and usurped his homeland, Lorena.
The day Lorena’s will died for his sake, Theo had promised to destroy the entire race of the demonic gods and return to revive his planet and make his civilization great again!
“Welcome to the team!” Elliot happily accepted Theo. He knew that he was as strong as him. While he had his cheat that had a high probability of being related to the divine race, Theo too had an overpowered ability called Give and Take eyes!
His gesture touched Theo.
“I have a truth to confess.” He said while looking at Elliot.
Elliot’s eyes widened, and he hurriedly stopped Theo before saying, “If you’re going to tell me gay, don’t worry. I always knew about that.”
What the fuck?
Gaping mouths, eyes as wide as saucers, and cawing crows, everything appeared at the same time between heaven and Earth
Seeing their funny expressions made him explain, “I was just joking.”
“Ah!”
Theo closed his mouth, cleared his throat, told him to be serious, and then made his confession. He told the truth to Elliot. He told him about his past, his race, and most of the things he had hidden from him.
“I see.” Two words were the only thing that came out of Elliot’s mouth.
“Your reaction isn’t as strong as I thought it would be,” Theo said.
“Ah, no, I am still shocked, shocked at the unfair and blatant favoritism of the queen.” Elliot corrected himself.
The reason why Theo managed to get to the very end without participating in any trial was that he was a resistor and a half-elven. The queen liked both these traits very much, so she had made his path to access the legacy easier than Elliot and the others.
While thinking along the line, Elliot realized that the same golden wind mist had fallen into John’s hand. The queen liked dhampirs or vampires in general for some reason, and as John was one, she also let him skip all the trials and come straight to the legacy hall.
Only humans like him had to undergo all the trials to reach the legacy hall.
Elliot drowned his soul in wine and cursed.
Beware, that damn queen of the spirit race is a bitch to humans!
