Awakened: Evolving to Godhood - Chapter 316
Freya could tell that Elliot was keeping her alive, but doing that, he was wasting much of his precious resources. She thought that he was wasting it on her.
She knew she would die soon anyway, as there was no cure to the spider queen’s poison, so why should she continue letting him waste a precious healing resource on her?
She didn’t want that.
“This is the end for me, I fear,” Freya said in a shaky voice as blood trickled out the corners of her mouth.
Elliot rolled his eyes at the suicidal beauty.
“I won’t let you die.” Elliot was directly responsible for her current state, and he didn’t want her to die because of a mistake he made and his negligence, so he was going to save her, and he was coming up with a way to do just that, but he needed some time.
Time was what he lacked the most right now.
However, he was extending the time limit by wasting his energy of life.
Though, only dozens of units of it were left, meaning he could only keep her alive for 3 to 4 minutes.
Freya felt touched to see that another was worrying for her and trying to save her. She never thought that there would be a person attending to her on her deathbed, for she, herself, and the rest of the world condemned her as a vicious bitch, who joined hands with the rest of her dog raise even though the high elves raised her for many years. Except for the highest of the high elves, none of them knew that she was undercover, and she had never left any evidence to let them know about the truth.
“Don’t blame yourself. I know you did your best. It’s just that the vicious spider queen thought one step ahead of all of us and got us where we least expected it.” Freya said as she caressed his face weakly, and then her eyes slowly closed, and her hands fell as she lost her consciousness, and nearly all signs of life seeped out of her.
To explain her current state, she only had one last breath left in her.
Elliot grabbed her hand before it could fall down. He used his authority over life and his power to recovery to keep her alive.
However, all he was doing was delaying her death and wasting many units of his essence of life.
The things she said about the spider queen were true.
The spider queen was a poisonous bitch that enslaved everyone who worked for her using a mark that even she didn’t know how to break, and even if someone came up with a way to break it, she had already put a second countermeasure, which was her 7th level poison in place. The moment the mark starts breaking down, her poison would surge out of it and spread throughout one’s body, destroying a person from within until all of their rots.
She played such a vicious move on all of her subordinates for two reasons.
The first was to make sure that no one would be able to reveal anything about her plans to the righteous forces.
Secondly, the Spider Queen made it impossible for any of her slaves ever to gain their freedom even if they found a way to take the slave mark off of them.
The only freedom she granted others was death.
“I’m not blaming myself, and I am not helping you only because I pity you, and I feel it is wrong to let you die here. I am saving you as losing you now would make me feel as if I lost my first battle against the spider queen, and I would never allow that to happen.” Whether she heard him or not, he didn’t care. He said what he felt as he summoned the sword of life and poured the essence of life into its magical symbols, causing them to light up.
Using this sword, he had regrown an entire forest back in the central zone of the spirit forest.
Using this very sword, he will bring her away from death!
As he pulled out the sword of life and stabbed it into her heart, causing streams of life to enter her body and bloodstream and start coursing across her inside, Elliot had a serious pondering look on his face.
[Freya’s health point: 15/550!]
[-2 HP]
[15/550!]
[You’ve used 100 units of the essence of life to activate the unique effect of the sword of life to heal her!]
[+200 HP]
[The internal body-breaking poison of the spider queen had acted again, harming Freya significantly!]
[-200 HP!]
[The sword of life released a pulse of life into her, causing her to heal significantly!]
[+200 HP!]
[Freya’s health point: 215/550!]
[The spider queen’s poison had lunged for her life again!]
[-200]
[Freya’s health point: 15/550!]
Elliot’s expression became slightly bright when he saw her health point remaining at 15 units.
Though it was only temporary, he no longer needed to worry about keeping her alive and could think of a way to solve the problem permanently.
He thought and thought and finally came with a way to deal with the poison in her body.
“Forgive me, sleeping beauty,” Elliot said as he pinched open her mouth and planted a kiss on her lips.
Right at this moment, Freya regained her consciousness, and the first thing she felt was Elliot’s face pressing against her, and the second thing she felt was his cold, icy, and metallic tongue, which she found not at all good to her taste, slipping inside of her.
What the heck was he doing?!
She was muddled but could still tell that he was french kissing her, which made her confused out of her mind.
“Devil’s limbs!” Elliot chanted in his mind, and out of his gray tongue, eight gray threads surged out and charged down Freya’s throat and reaching all the way down to her stomach.
