Three days had passed since the last time he made love with Lin Hua. She was just a human, not a cultivator like him. So, it was not good for her to overindulge in lust. He knew her body conditions better than her and knew that she would fall sick if he had sex with her every day, so although she wanted him every other day, he didn’t touch her in passionate ways and only helped her find release with his fingers. She also returned the favor by giving him a handjob.
During these three days, Xie Yang had used most of his time to accompany his wife and the rest of his time to cultivate. As he had refined her Yin Qi for three nights straight and used it to nourish his elixir field, his cultivation had surpassed the peak of the fourth level and reached the fifth level.
Now, the spiritual energy capacity of his elixir field had reached 501 units.
His cultivation speed was shocking as he hadn’t consumed pills that help a cultivator cultivate. However, he hadn’t gloated to anyone about him reaching level 5, not even his father or Leader Ye, so no one knew that a supreme-level prodigy was staying in the Xie Manor.
Xie Yang was in the study room of his courtyard, close to the room he shared with Lin Hua. He was sitting on a soft cushion, which was behind a wooden table. On it was a pouch, and he was gazing at it. It belonged to Merchant Jin. Out of all the treasures he had got from the bandit’s den, he only failed to open this pouch and the treasure chest.
The latter didn’t have a lock, but no matter what he and Leader Ye did, it didn’t open. Leader Ye even used so much strength that cracked appeared on it. However, it still didn’t open. Xie Yang and Leader Ye both believed that it was an inter-spatial treasure, one with a massive room inside of it, and they also knew that if they shattered it, there was a 99% chance that all the items inside of it would vanish, disappearing without a trace.
Thus, they put the matter of opening it aside.
They believed that one day or another, they might find a way to open it. That day, they will know what it hides inside of it.
Xie Yang even had a way of knowing what was sealing the treasure chest. Though, to use that way, he needed to obtain the Divine Yang Physique.
The former, the magic pouch, Xie Yang, had a way to open it. Merchant Jin had bounded it to his blood and spiritual energy, meaning no one but him could gain access to it. It had a spirit blood seal on it. Unless he provides it with Merchant Jin’s blood and spiritual energy, it won’t open. He couldn’t provide it with both. Although he could get Merchant Jin’s blood, there was no way of getting his spiritual energy as he had the person in question killed days ago.
Still, he had a way of opening it.
And that was using the seal-breaking talisman!
Some cultivators learn different professions while cultivating. Some of them were formation master, alchemist, and talisman master. Each of them shared some common points but was vastly different from each other.
In his past life, Xie Yang had reached the peak of alchemy and dabbled in the others too in his free time.
Ten thousand years ago, the talisman emperor had created this talisman in his younger years. In his past life, they were friends. As talismans shared some resemblances with alchemy, they had gathered together many times to talk about different areas of their subjects and enlightened each other many times in their professional. Obviously, they belonged to different fields of work, but their knowledge was so extensive and profound that they helped each further advance in their profession subconsciously.
That was how Xie Yang found out that dabbling in different professions was another way of gaining more profound knowledge of alchemy, and it became one of the reasons why he reached the peak of alchemy and had knowledge about different professions.
The seal-breaking talisman contained the power to shatter any seal. The best thing was that the items a person needed to make it varied and depended solely on the strength of the seal they needed to break.
The spirit blood seal was only a rank-4 seal. Again, rank-5 was the lowest level of any seal and rank-1 the highest. A person could only use a title to define anything stronger than that. To break the seal on it, he needed the help of a rank-4 seal-breaking talisman. Talisman followed the same ranking as seals.
He needed some things to create it. The most important one, which was a dark-type spirit core, he already had it. What he needed now was a spiritual brush, a brush that wouldn’t break when he pours spiritual energy into it, the blood of a black vulture around level 20, and a paper made out of a hundred years old or a thousand years old black trunk tree.
Xie Yang had told Leader Ye to bring these things to him yesterday two days ago. Today, early in the morning, a messenger bird had landed on his window. The message it brought revealed that Leader Ye had got the things he needed and would return home soon and meet him in his study.
It has been half an hour since Xie Yang had come to the study, yet there was no sign of Leader Ye.
“I wonder how long I will have to wait for brother to come here.” Xie Yang muttered while looking out the window and thinking of Leader Ye.
Think of the devil, and he will appear.
The study room opened, and in came Leader Ye.
