Except for the fact that the latter disliked him for some reason, Xie Yang didn’t notice anything strange about Silver.

He returned to the carriage and ordered the driver to take them around the city. To let his wife get a better view of the place they lived, he opened the windows of the carriage. With a smile on her face, she popped her head outside the carriage and looked at the streets that were too unfamiliar to her even though she was born in this city and remained here all her life. Her father didn’t like her and refused to take her out of the home. Her blood mother was sick because of giving birth to her and didn’t have the strength to carry her out in her arms. That one time she got ill, her poor mother had to carry her on her back, go to a clinic, and use what little she had saved to pay for her hospital fees.

“What are you thinking about, hmm?”

“Nothing.”

She missed her mother and wondered how she was doing but didn’t want to trouble her hard-working husband with her emotions.

Xie Yang knew she was hiding something from him but didn’t ask.

She lifted her head from her hands, moved it away from the window before turning it towards Xie Yang, then while looking at him, she said, “Will we be returning to the manor now?”

“Not so soon. Our date has only just begun.” Xie Yang said, “We will tour around the city in the morning, visit a teahouse or any place you want to go to in the afternoon, and have dinner in the evening at the Golden Dragon Spoon Restaurant. Although it was hard to get, I have already reserved the seats there.”

“Thank you.”

Her sweet voice rang in his ears.

After he pinched her cheek and moved her face to him, Xie Yang said, “We shouldn’t use that word between us because we’re family, one in soul and body.”

“Mm-hmm, I will keep that in mind.”

People had started crowding the streets. Xie Yang told the carriage driver to go slow. Xie Royan knew that recklessly driving the carriage might injure someone, so he moved it at a slow pace. Xie Yang noticed that Lin Hua’s had her glued to a single place. He found out that she was looking at a food stall.

He told the driver to stop. The carriage stopped, and Xie Yang stepped out of the carriage. She looked at him. He mingled with the crowd of pedestrians before disappearing from her sight.

Where did he go?

He returned minutes later with packets in his hand, and he handed them to her.

“What are these?” She asked.

He replied, “This is your reward for being an obedient and good wife.”

She opened one and saw caramelized sweet. She opened the other and saw steaming dumplings in them.

She looked at him with shocked puppy eyes and said, “How did you know that I wanted to eat them?”

“I guessed.”

In truth, he was attentively watching her.

When he saw her mouth-watering because of looking at the buns, he realized that she was hungry for them.

“Lord, your guess is right on the mark.”

Xie Yang picked up a cube of caramelized candy and put it into her mouth.

“Next time, don’t use lord to address me.” Xie Yang said as its sweetness spread in her mouth.

She blinked her pretty eyes, closed her lips, and smiled, “What should I call you then?”

“Whatever you like.”

“Eat one of them?” Lin Hua asked as she offered one of the buns to him.

“I don’t feel like it.” Xie Yang said, “Besides, I brought them for you.”

“For my sake, please.”

“Okay, but only if you feed it to me.”

Lin Hua widened her eyes in a hurray secretly, “No problem.”

He found it impossible to say no to her a second time, so he let her feed him the bun.

They went to different places and enjoyed the scenery of the city together. He also found out about many things, but the most important of them all was that he had gained knowledge about the explorer association, which was something similar to sects of ancient times but more extensive. It was something the Western kingdoms introduced to the Empire a hundred or so years ago.

At the end of their date, they had dinner at a famous restaurant and drank some wine.

After drinking it, Lin Hua’s face turned red quickly, and she started rambling like a drunkard in a loud voice. She was being a bit too loud, so Xie Yang cast a sound-blocking barrier around them. He didn’t want the gossipers to hear the private things she was spewing out of her mouth. She complained about how big he was and how she liked taking it even though it was painful. She said a bunch of other things and also revealed a list of her dirty pleasure as Xie Yang took her into the carriage and locked the door.

“Hubby, close the window.” She said while squeezing his hot wand with both her hands and all her strength.

Xie Yang felt it nearly exploding. Literally.

She nearly squeezed it dry for a lifetime!

“As you wish.”

Xie Yang, a sucker for his little wife, didn’t hesitate to do as she said as he was worried that she might cripple his third leg if he didn’t.

Now that no one was looking at them, she felt like she could go all wild!

“Muah!”

She circled her around his neck and then kissed him deeply.

She wasn’t one to take the initiative, so it surprised Xie Yang a bit, but he responded fervently and kissed her back like a man.

“I love you the most in the universe.” Lin Hua said before burying her face in the crook of his neck.

By the time they returned home, she was no longer awake.. She had fallen asleep in Xie Yang’s embrace.
