- Chapter 272: Massive Gains, Legendary Equipment!
At that momt, Sterl had absorbed a substantial amount of Fire of T Thousand Souls and upgraded his accumulated soul experice to level 7. He finally returned to normal.
The hint of panic on Sterl’s face dissipated completely. How could he not feel panicked? Just momts ago, if those players had forced an attack, Sterl would have suffered a loss of 500 Valor Contribution Points!
Now, he took out the over sevty colorful orbs and more than eighty gold orbs that he had stored in his small world. The smile on his face was impossible to contain.
“Let’s op these! Let’s op them!”
“Whether I hit the jackpot today depds on this!”
Sterl was incredibly excited.
Other players strategize and tackle bosses, dividing the loot among their team, playing an MMORPG.
On Sterl’s side, they farm bosses in batches, with a massive amount of drops that are mostly handled by the guild. They only keep a few of the top-tier equipmt and items, making it purely a “Diablo-like” experice.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
The crisp sounds of the orbs oping filled the air, bringing an overwhelming sse of joy. The scre in front of him was flooded with messages.
[You have obtained material: Heavly Curtain core.]
[You have obtained material: Heavly Curtain core.]
[You have obtained equipmt: [Feather of the Phoix].]
[You have obtained skill book: [Eternal Flame (Gold)].]
[You have obtained…]
…
[You have obtained material: Soul Solidification Gem.]
In an instant, Sterl’s backpack was overflowing, causing a pile of items to spill out in front of him. Many of the items oped wt directly into his backpack.
Sterl’s backpack simply couldn’t hold everything!
The g was aglow with a dazzling array of gold skills, blindingly bright. There were the emerald hues represting platinum-level equipmt, the deep blue luminescce symbolizing diamond-level gear, and the ancit gold represting legdary items…
Yes!
Legdary!
Sterl stared in disbelief and quickly pulled out a piece of equipmt.
[Rebirth Flame Armor (Legdary)]+
[Tier: Unlimited]
[Description: An incarnation of the essce of the Phoix, this legdary item can only be obtained with an extremely low probability by slaying the Phoix during its peak.]
[Effects: Increases all attributes by 50 points, Spirit increased by an additional 0 points, Fire damage reduction increased by 0%, Fire damage output increased by 0%.
Additional abilities:
Rebirth Protection (This equipmt provides a shield equal to 50% of the wearer’s maximum health. This shield cannot be canceled. After being brok, the equipmt ters a rebirth state, permantly increasing the shield value by % and the various attribute bonuses by %, with a maximum stacking limit of times.)
Reborn (Wh wearing this equipmt, the player permantly increases all attributes by 0 points each time a resurrection skill is triggered, with a limit of 5 times. The attribute bonuses are retained ev wh the equipmt is removed.)
Rebirth Acceleration (The cooldown time for all resurrection skills is halved, with negative effects reduced to zero.)
Phoix Fire (Automatically revives the player upon death and grants a 0% increase in Flame skill power for one minute, with a cooldown of one month.)]
This equipmt is extremely specialized, primarily geared towards resurrection abilities. Sterl thought to himself that he absolutely had to keep this piece and not sell it; just the Phoix Fire ability alone was worth a fortune!
Once a month resurrection! And the effects of this armor could pottially reduce that to once every half month. Not to mtion, Sterl himself had Divine Desct, which also included a resurrection effect.
In essce, having this equipmt meant he had an edge over other players in terms of value.
The only pity was that while the other additional abilities were quite powerful—such as providing a shield equal to 0% of his health, which was extremely useful for someone with Sterl’s substantial health pool, and the pottial to increase all attributes by up to 0 points—these bonuses required triggering several resurrection skills to fully realize their pottial.
The lifeforce restoration wh his health hit zero didn’t count as a resurrection. Therefore, to maximize these bonuses, he truly had to put in some effort. He’d only be able to use the resurrection from this armor and the one from Divine Desct.
However, Sterl’s style was to avoid situations that risked having to use resurrection skills. After all, he understood clearly that if his plan wt awry and he countered unexpected emies, having to use his resurrection could lead to disaster.
Thus, maximizing the effects of the Rebirth Flame Armor might take quite a while.
“What a pity.” Sterl shook his head.
Nevertheless, just the resurrection effect alone justified its legdary status. Next, he would check what hancemts he could make…
Wait? I can use this right away??
Sterl noticed one of the attributes of the equipmt.
No way!
It’s ready to go!
Sterl was immsely excited; a legdary item with no level restrictions had just dropped for him!
His thoughts turned to, “To get good equipmt, you really need to farm on a large scale.”
“Just grinding one or two bosses, without using Fate Toks, and I can get something this good??”
In addition to that, the colorful orbs from various bosses had yielded quite a few exceptional items. Among them, there were a total of nine diamond-level legdary pieces, over twty gold-quality skill books, and various rare materials. Ev though Sterl couldn’t use them, he estimated they could be exchanged for a significant amount of Valor Contribution Points.
“These legdary pieces of equipmt… maybe I should sell some of them first and just keep a few.”
Sterl felt that, after this successful experice, he could look for more opportunities to grind bosses. Who knows, he might be able to farm a batch of legdary gear before reaching the legdary realm, or at least some top-tier diamond equipmt.
Right now, selling these legdary diamond items could allow him to acquire some third-class legdary equipmt, maximizing his strgth.
As for the skill books and materials, he would follow the same approach as before: handing everything over to the guild and letting Sosia, Sonis, and the other players find buyers to handle the sales.
What excited Sterl ev more was that after this intse farming session, he had gathered exactly Heavly Curtain core materials, meaning he could set up the Blood Sacrifice Array three times.
However, the ordinary materials he had collected from the Blood Cult’s various bases were only ough to construct one and a half arrays.
“Many of these materials can only be obtained by tormting others.”
“There ar’t many in the main world and must be specially crafted, but there should be plty in Hell; after all, it’s incredibly chaotic there, and some demons are said to feed off various forms of suffering to hance their power.”
He pondered that it seemed his journey to Hell had gained another reason.
Lastly, Sterl took stock and found that he had a total of 8 Heavly Curtain core materials. He decided to keep them for now, waiting until he returned to allocate points and see the effects before deciding whether to turn them in to the Hall of Valor.
…
Next, Sterl ssed that the disturbances in Heavly Curtain Canyon seemed far from over. The suring space had become extremely strange; previously, this place couldn’t transmit any information.
Now, information could be st out normally, but players were unable to leave, and ev Sterl was unable to use teleportation items.
He didn’t originally care about this—his mood was quite good because he had just finished farming a boss and received a nice haul—but the constant stream of direct messages was causing him to frown.
Sosia and Sonis had kept quiet to avoid bothering Sterl, but other members of the Twilight Guild were reaching their breaking point.
One by one, they sought help from “David.”
[Presidt, we’re done for! We can’t ev dare to go out to fight monsters or do quests.]
[Presidt, what should I do if my frid was killed in plain sight during a meeting in the conferce room by someone using the Honorable Kill privilege?]
[Presidt…]
…
Members of the Twilight Guild were in complete disarray.
In fact, it had be less than a day since Sterl took on the task. The pressure from the demigod guilds had become increasingly terrifying—not because they were particularly anxious, but simply because they realized that the Twilight Guild seemed to have no means of retaliating, making the legdary players executing the pressure below grow ev more reckless.
Sterl’s earlier good mood dissipated in an instant.
He felt that if this continued, the morale would disintegrate faster than he had anticipated.
As the guild leader, he could only offer a few comforting words, assuring everyone that the problem would be resolved within a month. He explained that the initial demigod and some of his frids were currtly gaged in another instance and couldn’t break free just yet.
Fortunately, Sterl’s firm promise and the time frame he provided calmed the Twilight players down significantly.
Next, Sterl ignored the second wave of private messages from the players, all of which expressed loyalty.
Things like—
“I swear to live and die with the guild!”
“No matter what happs, we’ll face it together.”
“Presidt, just give us the word, and we’ll make those guilds pay, ev if it costs us our lives.”
Sterl chose to overlook them; his mood was already sour.
He first glanced at the blood force. After the frzied boss kills and the previous of slaughtering wild monsters, the blood force had reached six points, ev nearing sev.
He also discovered a hidd mechanism of this special ergy: the stronger the unit’s lifeforce, the more blood force it provided.
For instance, the Phoix boss he had defeated three times before finally killing it completely provided a substantial 0.8 units of blood force.
“It won’t be long before I can hance the Flowing Water Law.”
“Now… time to break through my level!”
Sterl sat down cross-legged and rapidly refined experice. Heavly Curtain Canyon was part of the Hall of Valor, so the ergy contt was quite high, providing a significant boost to his cultivation.
Moreover, Sterl set up a powerful Giant Spirit Formation on the spot, allowing vast amounts of natural ergy to surge into his body.
With his eyes closed, he quickly refined the experice while also hancing his arcane skill proficicy. His level surged upward, soon reaching the milestone of level 0, and he ev broke through an additional 0 levels.
Half a day later, Sterl oped his eyes. He continued to allocate points into the Rain Curtain Sword, and this time, a new realm appeared: the perfect-level Flowing Water Law could unlock its third form, “All Swords Return to One.”
At the same time…
A flood of information began to refresh rapidly before his eyes!
