Batman In MCU - Chapter 60
“Oh Eve, you were sloppy.”
Those words seemed to be a trigger as soon the sound of gunshots were heard, along with the screams of her people outside.
Eve did not hesitate to flip the table before her, which turned out to be a great decision. The table was flipped right on time to serve as shield from a hail of bullets.
“It doesn’t have to be live this Eve, just tell me, who is the Batman?” Chris asked as he slowly walked over to Eve.
” yeah… no!” Eve pulled out a flash bang which blinded Chris, enabling her to run out her office. Eve pulled out her gun firing at Chris’s men who all aimed at her trying to take her out.
Eve managed to evade most gunfire but still took a bullet to her shoulder. She run down a hallway, stopping before a wall and pressing on a part to reveal a secret pathway which closed behind her as she made her way through.
Chris and his men arrived soon after, just missing her, before they continued down the hall unaware of the secret entrance right by them.
After a few minutes of making her way through the underground tunnel she came up in a warehouse.
Moving to a corner she began to take care of her wounds before taking out some bandages and bandaging her wound.
Pulling down a tarp, an SUV was revealed. She got in the driver’s seat and proceeded to open the glove box and pulled out a phone, dailing a number.
“… Chris is on to me.”
At a classified location.
An agent rushed in an office where Agent Hill was before a computer with a solemn look on her face.
“ma’am we just got information on the court.” The agent’s words got Hill to look up from her screen and right at him with a questioning look.
In a few minutes she had arrived at Eve’s club which was surrounded by the police. She made her way looking around at the place which was riddled with bullet holes.
“Who does this club belong to?” Hill questioned he agent by her side ” a lady called Eve Monroe”, “Eve? I want all of this woman’s information, I want to know just why the court is after her.” Hill ordered
“Yes ma’am” the agent nodded before walking away.
Hill stood alone in the club with a sinking feeling that something big was about to happen.
In Afghanistan;
Obadiah arrives to meet Raza and the ten rings who have managed to gather pieces of the MK I and plan to trade with Obadiah for weapons.
“Obadiah, I’m glad you could make it.” Raza speaks up as Obadiah descends from a helicopter. “Raza”, Obadiah responds with a smile “I hear you have something for me?”
“Indeed I do.” Raza nods to his men behind him who bring over a few crates. Obadiah steps forward to open one and seeing what was inside the smile of his face became even brighter.
Raza seeing he was satisfied took this as his opportunity to speak up. “This is what Stark used to escape. I’m pretty sure you would gain a lot if you were to understand the technology.”
“Indeed I would”, Obadiah responded closed the crate and turned to face Raza to hear what he had to say.
“We are running low on weapons, we would appreciate a few Jericho’s and I am sure that is enough to pay for a few, am I right?” Obadiah turned to look at the crates which Raza was pointing at.
His smile had gone back to a false one at this point, ” indeed they are just… I asked you to kill Stark, so why is he alive?” with those words the atmosphere turned tense almost immediately.
At this point Raza realized something was wrong, before he could take any action gunshots resounded as the courts army surrounded them.
Raza eyes widened realizing it was all a trap, he turned screaming at Obadiah, “What is the meaning of this?!”
Obadiah was waiting with a gun pointed at Raza, “I told you, I want Stark dead, you failed” *bang*
Obadiah shot Raza right in his head, killing him. “Start moving this”, the army obeyed Obadiah’s orders and began transporting the crates.
One soldier came over to Obadiah and handed him a phone, “hello”.
“I take it you succeeded” Chris voice came from the other end of the line. “Indeed I did, and you?”
“No, the bitch managed to escape”
“No? then why do you sound so happy?”
“Oh Obadiah, you don’t know Eve like I do. She is a professional, for her to betray us, whoever she is doing this for is extremely important and there is only one person alive who is important to her. So you see, I have yet to fail.”
