Batman In MCU - Chapter 64
A few minutes earlier, In an office.
Members of the court were present and seated around a huge table. They had each recieved a call from Chris telling them to meet here as he has something important to tell them.
The members looked to an empty seat where Chris was supposed to be seated. It had been ten minutes yet Chris had yet to arrive, they members began speaking to one another coming up with their own speculations as to why they were called.
The office was soon filled with murmurs but all murmurs came to a halt when he door was opened. All eyes were drawn to the door as Chris stepped in.
Chris was dressed in a tight fitting combat suit, whilst armed to the teeth, with his hood pulled back.
The members of the court followed Chris with their eyes, all having a bad feeling as he made it to his seat.
“Gentlemen, I’m glad you all could make it.” Chris spoke as he sat, making himself comfortable. ” Chris what is going on?” one of the members spoke up as he stared at Chris face which had a smile that gave him chills.
“You see gentlemen, I feel the court has not been fulfilling it’s full potential. We run but a mere city but I believe we could do a whole lot more and so I’ve been thinking on what exactly is the problem, but then it hit me”
Chris continued despite the looks on their faces, ” the court has too many useless people in it and it is time for some cut backs.”
*Bam* A member slammed the table as he stood and shouted at Chris, “What the hell are you going on about!”
Chris calmly looked the guy in the eye and continued, “earlier tonight, I killed Sebastian and Eve and now it’s time the rest of you joined them in hell.”
“Chris!” The man who stood screamed as he attempted to charge at Chris, he was soon brought to a screeching halt as a knife was sent straight into his eye.
The others seeing the fate of their partner attempted to leave but alas the moment they set their foots into this place their gates where sealed.
Countless soldiers of the court appeared with their weapons aimed at them. Another member tried to reason with Chris, “Chris this is madness ! without us you won’t be able to properly control the court.”
Chris dashed the hope that had began to form within the eyes of the members of the court. “That was the case before, but now I have transferred all your ȧssets to my name. Your ȧssets will contribute to the future of the court but as for you, your services are no longer required.”
His words scared them as the all wondered how it is he had done what he said, but they would never figure it out as they were killed the next second.
Chris walked through the corpses that now littered the office floor, taking a last look at them he turned to the soldiers at his side and ordered, “burn this place to the ground”.
As he turned back around though the smile along with the crazed look in his eye dissapeared. Before him was the Ghost Bat alongside two people he did not expect to see ever again.
There they were, Sebastian and Eve alive and walking. “How?” Chris couldn’t help but question as he saw they were alright.
“You should know by now it’s not that easy to kill me”, Sebastian responded causing Chris to clench his fist.
“I know understand that saying, if you want something done you have to do it yourself.” Chris pulled out his sword as members of the court all popped up by his side.
“Just like the old days huh”, Eve spoke as she readied her gun. “Yeah, just like the old days” Sebastian sighed and turned to face Gwen, “are you ready kid?”
“This bastard is also responsible for my dad’s death, I’m gonna kill him” Gwen spoke in voice which seemed devoid of emotion.
Sebastian nodded and began to fire at the court alongside Eve, while Ghost Bat rushed with two batarangs held firmly in her hands to meet the members of the court who rushed at her with their own cold weapons at hand.
Obadiah at this time had arrived at his new base and hooked up the arc reactor to his Warmonger suit. He should be happy that he had suceeded in obtaining the arc reactor but he was worried as he checked the time.
Chris should have called to say he was on his way but nothing, the fact he was unable to contact him didn’t help at all.
“Tony is going to stop you”, Pepper spoke from her corner where Obadiah had kept her drawing him out of his thoughts.
“Quiet! Tony should be dead by now so no, no one’s coming and you have just outlived your purpose”
Pepper eye’s widened as she heard what Obadiah had just said.
