Beast Enchanter - Chapter 10 Preparations
I approached Paul and Jessica. They appear to both be deep in thought, looking down at the map laid out on the table, but looked up as I approached. They seemed to have noticed me this time.
Paul frowned, “Hmm, why are you here? I thought we sent you out on the scouting team.”He said.
“I was sent back myself because I have crucial information for both of you to hear, “I answered.
“Did you find the wererabbits base?” said Paul, while looking flustered.
“Calm down Paul and let him explain.” Said Jessica.
“Well a bunch of things happened, but I’ll start from the beginning. I got lost in the forest after training with Silica for our scouting mission, and I happened upon the wererabbits temporary base was and saw them march an army to attack the stone giants. Afterward, both me and Silica informed both Elise and the stone giants. Elise sent Silica and me ahead to help fend off the wererabbits.” I said.
Jessica cut in, “Did that really happen? That seems a little too organized for wererabbits,” she said.
“Yes, It seems an intelligent wererabbit has appeared and is leading them. I have been told that the wererabbits use to have intelligence but received punishment for trying to rebel against God.”
They both just both just nodded and motioned for me to continue.
“During the battle, I was able to kill the wererabbit general although it was close. However, the wererabbits were able to steal their tribal key during the battle which is what they were after. I just finished talked to the village chief and found out that the wererabbits could possible have our tribal key already. I have only been told that something terrible will happen if they’re allowed to open the door that requires the keys. Although, I don’t know what. The stone giants have agreed to ally themselves with us. Currently, the rest of scouting team and the stone giants are on there way here to join us, but once they do, I suggest we prepare to attack as I’m not sure we have much time until they open the door. In fact, it might already be too late to stop them if they do already have the last key.” I said.
Jessica and Paul both just stood there with complicated expressions on there face as processing they processed the information I had just told them. I’m not even sure they fully believe me after all it did sound a little far fetched.
“Are you messing with us? You know that wererabbits are unintelligent right? How could they possibly be after these keys you mentioned or if the keys even exist along with that door.”
Paul apparently did not believe my story, as for his poor attitude, I didn’t care too much, he’s just an NPC. [E/N: I have a feeling that the ‘it’s just an NPC’ attitude will last]
“As I said before the wererabbits have a few intelligent ones leading them, so while the normal ones are unintelligent, the leaders are smart, which means they have strategies on how best to make use of there young wererabbits.”
Jessica sighed, “It seems your gonna get your way, Paul. Although I don’t fully believe him either, I think it’s best to not completely write him off as If what he says is true the scouting team and the stone giants will be here soon enough to confirm his claims.”
She turned to look at the guard to her left and said, “Ready the troops! Prepare to attack within the next couple of days!”
“Yes, Ma’am!” Replied the guard as he ran off.
“It seems you were able to finish the mission we gave you but to be honest I didn’t expect you to be able to do it. We’ll take your word on it for now, but If we have discovered you lied to us, you will receive punishment,” said Jessica

After that, I headed for the town there wasn’t much for me to do there. We needed to wait for the stone giants to show up along with Elise and Silica. So I headed over to the blacksmith’s place as his quest didn’t disappear after I killed the wererabbits like he wanted me to. I entered the blacksmith’s shop, and the little bell went off again. I took a glance around. Everything was still the same, so I just walked up to the counter and waited for the blacksmith to come out.
“Welcome! How can I help y- oh, it’s you again kid,” He said as he walked out from the back.
.
“Hey, I finished your quest. Also, I wanted to see your best equipment.”
‘Ding'(Quest complete) -Help The Village take care of the Pests?-
He walked back into his shop and grabbed something he put it on the counter and said
“Then here you go this is the sword I promised you.”
“Wait, you’re giving me a new sword? I had thought you were going to let me have this one.”
“Well don’t sound so ungrateful kid, this will be better for someone like you, and it’s better than using the rusty scrap metal you have currently right? [E/N: I’m guessing that he used the same tone as a child getting an older model and asking in a whining voice, ‘awww, why couldn’t I get that one?!!’ while pointing at the new one]
Although I hadn’t expected this, I still thanked the blacksmith, and I handed him my old sword. I picked up the one on the counter to check the item info.
(Yellow)Elite-Basic short sword(Lvl 5)
[(Attack 15-15)(Crit chance+10%)(attack speed+5%)]
I thought my old sword was better as the higher crit chance is crucial for me as a human, although the dmg on this one is much higher. Meh, whatever. I asked him to show me his equipment. Taking a look at his selection his best set was still weaker than the wererabbit general’s armor set I had, and I’m about to get more pieces once Elise arrives. I sold my old armor, and he wouldn’t give a full refund. I only got 20% back which didn’t bother me that much as it had been only 100 bronze coins. I left the blacksmith’s place and went looking around the skill shop again. Now that I had more money I was looking for a good defensive or attack skill. I didn’t bother with the skill I had found earlier as it might be neat, but I don’t think it is crucial. It had only been a guess based on what Felix had told me. So after browsing through the skills, I settled on two one defense skill and one attack.
Double Swipe(tier 1)- mastery 0-(0/100)
-Attack a second time instantly but do only 15% of your last attack cd 25 sec.
Shield Immunity(Tier 1)- mastery 0-(0/100)
-If you have a shield block 5% of the next attacks damage and 15% chance to ignore all applied effects cd 25 sec.
These looked the best in the shop there not great but it better than not having any skills. I also didn’t have a shield, so I went back to the blacksmith and bought a decent one.
(White)rare- Normal small shield(Lvl 5)
[(Armor +10)(vit +15)]
After I finished browsing through the shops, I was only left with about 600 bronze coins. I decided to head back to the field as I had been out for a while. I assumed that the stone giants along with Elise and Silica would be here by now, and I was right. As I got to the fields, I saw all the stone giants just sitting around, and they didn’t appear to be much different. Elise, Silica, and the chief were at the table with Paul and Jessica. There wasn’t much time on the servers left, so I had wanted to get my armor from her before I got off.
I walked up to the table and heard them talking about what our plans were, but it wasn’t anything I hadn’t already known.
Elise was the first to notice me and said, “Chosen your here finally, we had some questions for you.”
Upon her announcement they all looked at me I noticed Paul’s face for some reason seemed a little pale as he looked at me. I wonder if its because he didn’t know I was the chosen and he knows he had been rude? I would have told him If I knew he would be nicer.
“What do you need to know? I figured I told you all everything already?” I replied
“Yes, but we just want to confirm some information, you said the wererabbits already have the tribal key of the humans. Correct?”
“Its a possibility, I went to the village chief to ask him when I arrived. He told me an ancestor of his lost it but its unknown whether the wererabbits have it or not but I figured it’s best not to chance it.” I answered.
“Yes, it is, however… you said his ancestor lost it? Do you know how?”
“I was told it was a house fire, and they looked for in after the fires went out but, they haven’t been able to find it.”
“Hmm… I was told that the wererabbit lord had only developed his intelligence recently, which is why I was sent here to help, so they shouldn’t have been capable of something so elaborate in the past. However, that doesn’t rule out the possibility that they could have already found the key. However, we’re going to look for it.” she said.
“Really? But the village chief and his ancestors have been looking for the tribal key for ages and haven’t found it since it was. How are we suppose to find it?”
She gave a light smirk “Did you forget I’m a mage? I can use a search spell to find it but I need to know where the last known location of the key was.”
“I’m not sure. I would have to ask the village chief.”
“Yes lets, we need to figure out if the wererabbits truly have it because If they do it may already be too late for us to try and stop them.”

Before I checked anything, I pulled out the mysterious vial and handed it to Elise.
“Hey, Elise can you look at this for me. I got it from the stone giants, but I don’t know what bloodline it belongs to.”
I handed her the mysterious vial of blood.
“Hmm it seems familiar, but without the proper tools I couldn’t say what bloodline this belongs to, I do apologize.”
“No, that’s fine that was plenty helpful.”
After that, they didn’t seem to have much else to ask other than a few unimportant questions to confirm all their information. I left the field, and there were only about 10 minutes left, so I decided to check my armor and stats and log off.

(Authors note)- I couldn’t fit this all in the smaller box.
First of all, I want to give a big thank you to all of you for all the fantastic feedback, but I must admit, I hadn’t expected my book to receive this kind of attention. I’m surprised that so many of you still enjoy my book even though my grammar is poor and it makes me feel sorry that I am currently unable to deliver higher quality work. However, I feel as if I’ve already made significant improvements thanks to the people who told me about Grammarly. Thanks to it I have been dramatically improving the quality of my work, and it lets me notice what I’ve been doing wrong. I hope to continue developing and deliver better quality work. [E/N: He also got me, an editor, I may not be the best, but I’ll do a good job, If you guys see stuff I don’t, tell me. Hello, and thank you for reading this novel! My name? You may call me The Great, The Powerful, Nimm. Lol just kidding, but call me Nimm, you may find me in the comment section. And for those who find this after many years, pls keep reading.]
Also, I wanted to address a few questions that I have noticed being asked. The biggest one being about my release schedule and while I had initially intended to post at least once every other day I’m pushing it back to posting once a week. I’ll post additional chapters if I get some piled up. However, this is the only one for this week as I have been reworking all of my previous work. It’s still not quite finished although, they are already far better than they were.
Another question a lot of you were asking is about my tags for the story. I had tried to add them beforehand but couldn’t quite figure out how. Also, I’m still debating on some, but I’ll add them if I feel it’s necessary. I’ll tell you the ones that are for sure in this story Adventure, Action, Gaming, and Romance, I think that’s it, but I might still be missing some as I’m not super familiar with tags.
