Beast Enchanter - Chapter 4 The Stone Giants

The 2 Giants took me to see their chief he was in the back of the cave despite the look of the cave the inside was actually very small. The chief was sitting down by a fire staring into it he was the only one with a bone helmet so I figured he was chief.

“Chief… Human come..Helps us kill rabbits..Wants to speak to chief”

“Hmm a human huh. What do you want nameless one.”

I was a bit surprised the chief appears to be very intelligent compare to the rest must be because of the helmet.

“I was told of your troubles and your anger has been causing worries for the village to the north so I was sent to help you get rid of these rabbit and show you this”

I help out my hand with gods crest in it. The chief took it from my hand as his were 3 times my size I just drop it in to his. He constantly had this uninterested look on his face since the moment I appeared but his eye shot wide open when he saw god’s crest and said.

“Your are one of the great one’s chosen! Yes I see, it’s no wonder they would send you to help us. Hmm.. yes, please sit chosen I will explain what it is I need you to do.These rabbits are far too quick for my brethren and although I can handle them, my brethren can not. I would deal with them if I could but I have to remain here to protect the young ones otherwise they would run past my brother’s and sister’s to target the young as there huge population they are building required much food and they can kill our young. I sent my brothers to their location with is just east of here but they are still to quick so I have been having my brothers hold the line of defense In hopes that one of the others there are targeting can deal with them but alas my patience has been waning lucky you arrived or I might have taken the human village as our new home to rid us of these rabbits.

“I don’t think taking the human village would be much benefit to you as the rabbit have been targeting them as well”

“Truly?hmm.. Yes it seem the situation at hand is more dire then I thought.”

“I was asked to kill the rabbit back into their nest If I can have a giant come with me to point me in their direction I could do you the favor.”

“I can see threw my brothers eye’s and although I saw you drive off the young rabbits you are no match for there warrior’s to go alone would be suicidal, but If you insist I will not stop you, but I have a better solution for you chosen. If you were a normal human I would not allow this but for a chosen I will relent. Here take this”

He reached in a bag by his side and took something out to hand to me I held out my hands like we did earlier and I nearly dropped, it It was heavy. I took a look at the items description.

Suddenly it clicked why those solo player were so insistent on finish this quest line this ring was too good to be true for low levels and It made me a bit worried what could make the top players give up despite have this ring

“I will accept it then what is your plan?”

“I don’t have much of a plan other than giving you that ring but I have a request for chosen. If you can complete this request I well have a greater reward for you but don’t trouble yourself if you can not do it.I wish for you to kill that damn rabbit general despite my efforts in keeping my brethren safe he continues to evade me. Killing our young I am always one step too late to stop him he is the reason for my loss of patience.”

I didn’t hesitate even for a split sec. There’s no downside to this quest the benefit are massive so it could only mean the general is extremely powerful this quest must be the reason so many people gave up on this quest chain I get that feeling and I decided to call Felix as ask.

“Hey Felix Is the -Behead the damned general- the quest that caused you all to quit?”

“Ya it’s that one even solo players can’t finish it. You could ignore it and finish the main quest line to get a few level but you can’t distribute stats on the island and on the fourth main quest it required you to kill him so you need to do it while it’s optional to get the gear or it might be impossible to finish but you cant even kill him his stats are too high for a solo mission it’s why you need assistance but we could never find a hidden quest and decided it wasn’t worth our time as a top tier guild we can’t waste our time like that but let me know if you find anything since we can get a second chance when the new helmet come out.”

“I figured as much you guys got the Ring as well, and still couldn’t kill him?”

“Yep”

“I saw a book back the village that I thought was going to be important but I have to finish these quest to get the money to buy it but it looks like that ones a bust.”

“Oh, ya? you found that one huh many of our guild mate though there might be a way to make money to buy it but they couldn’t find much they found a few odd jobs but the amount of money they made was nowhere near close enough to pay for that skill and there all one time jobs”

“Well guess I’ll take a look around thanks Felix.”

“Hey no problem were roomys now so let me know if you find anything.”

Well that was disappointing I had though I was on to something but I guess It wouldn’t be that obvious. I let the giants cave and decided to look around the village outskirts first see if I could spot anything but didn’t see anything but then I figured maybe it would be on the escort mission quest after all the rings the gave be the capability to be able to easily do that quest now. I walked bit back north then went south east as I didn’t want to accidentally run into any Wererabbits on my way. I Continued at pretty good pace with the extra agility I got I was pretty fast now even faster than the normal wererabbits I didn’t know how fast the strong one were but imaged faster than me. As I was walking when I finely noticed the camp in the distance. then heard a voice from a tree in front of me.

“who goes there!”

“I’m Dragonsong I was asked to come join the Scouts for the mission.”

An light elf women with blonde hair jumped down from the tree and walked forward.

“Hmpf, you? You didn’t even try to hide your presence might as well be selling us out to the enemy.”

She had a fair point but I just didn’t know how to hide my presence, or feel it

“Umm I don’t know how to hide my presence could you teach me I would greatly appreciate that as it sound extremely useful.”

“As much as I want to say no, I’m probably going to have to, If we want to live on the next mission. Follow me we need to report your arrival.”

We then walked into camp and headed for the biggest tent in the middle the guards let us by without any questions which was strange.

“Hey! Ellis get out here we got a newby for our mission!” She yell upon entering then a dark elf women with black hair walked out from the back

“Don’t yell Silica we on a stealth mission remember?”

“What stealth! This guy cant even hide his presence!”

“Is that right…?” she then glance over at me

“Who sent you? they should know this mission is important for the inhabitants of this island. why would they sent someone as untrained as you?”

“My names DragonSong I was sent here by Paul and Jessica They wanted to test If I could fight although I wish to kill the rabbit general myself.”

“Hmph, why you might look strong enough to take down some Wererabbits the real fighters of their race would be too much for you not to mention there general. I say we just send him back he too much of a pain.”

“Now,Now Silica. Can’t you feel the holy aura on him that means he not normal he probably a chosen. A chosen wouldn’t be here for no reason”

“What a chosen, him? no way!”

“Yes. Im a chosen I was told to kill these rabbits but I know I’m not strong enough to kill them all on my own its why Im here to look for a way”

“Oh? A humble chosen we have here don’t we?”

“Hmpf, being humble doesn’t mean he will become strong only results matter.”

“Yes, that true Silica so we’ll have you teach him how to hide his presence than hmm?.”

“Wha–. Ugh fine, I expected this when he arrived anyway.”

“Make sure you at least learn something or this would be a giant waste of my time.”

I was hoping to stay on her good side and maybe she will teach me something good after all I had no teacher. Me and silica left the tent after that. She took me back a bit ways north as it was probably safer in this direction but we didn’t go far after all we had to go back to camp after we were done.

“So Newby first things first I have a question. What do you think Is the most Important thing when on a stealth mission?”

“To not be seen or heard?”

“Ugh, I should’ve expected a dumb answer. No! That’s we do, not what’s important. We can get caught as long as we get the information we need, so what’s important is to make sure you get the information If you get caught you can always escape if your good enough. So ill ask you again. What’s the most important thing when being stealthy?’

“To make sure we get information!”

“No, again your only half right. You need to make sure to get the information and to live. What’s the point of getting the information if you die with it.”

I was feeling pretty dumb and I could’nt retort to anything she said either I wasn’t expecting to get such a lesson in a game.

“So the first thing were going to practice is to live.”She pulled out her daggers
