Beautiful Monsters - Chapter 4
He’s simply there because he’s both a friend and an acquaintance at work. He begins to speak to Monica, saying “You’re going to be alright okay? Just don’t you worry at all, you’ll be out of here in no time.” Nick grinned a bit after he said that. Monica smiled back to the response and nods, while saying “Thanks, it means a lot you’re here for me.” He glances out of the window for a quick second and then looks back at Monica, saying as he put his hand gently onto Monica’s leg, “Look, I need to go take of something really important, you just stay here and get your rest. You need it.” Soon as he said that, he took off making his way out of the hospital and got inside his car to try and find Lon, who was currently driving away from home to his secret hideout in the outskirts of town which was mostly plains filled with low cut grass and mountains. Some time has passed as Nick is coming up on the outskirt of Chicago which only had a way one road in and out of town. Meanwhile, Lon was having car problems so he started attempting to fix the car on the side of the one way street. He was in the open road, being able to been by every passerby who feared for their life seeing him there because he’s a widely known criminal mastermind. He was stuck there trying his best to fix the convertible but nothing was happening to the car in fact it might’ve even got worse from the sad attempts he’s made to work on it. While doing so, Nick was seen driving up to Lon in a white pickup truck that was rented. He slowed down a fair distance away, got out of the truck and grabbed a police department registered shotgun to make his way towards Lon. Lon stopped working on the car while secretly putting a pistol inside of his pants which was hidden by his shirt and stood there with both arms out to his side so that he can show he’s vulnerable with no weapons on him at all. The moment was surely dramatic and suspenseful as Nick approached the criminal in a timely fashion with the shotgun pointed at his chest. While he walks closer, he says “We both know how this going to end. Just give yourself up now, these things you’re doing needs to stop one way or another. You think you’re saving humanity from itself but in reality you’re destroying humanity day to day.” He finally stopped in his tracks, being a fairly close distance away from the man. Lon smirks at him while they both stand in the middle of the quiet one way road. He begins to say, “Nick…You don’t get it at all, I’m saving myself from people like you. People who need their fates changed and that’s what’s going to happen today. I’m going to change your true fate in life.” Right after Lon said that, he quickly pulled out the hidden pistol from his pants and shot one bullet at Nick. Nick didn’t expect that so he didn’t have enough time to shot a good aimed shot off, instead he just jumped to the side of the street was which covered in grass. He didn’t get hit at all but his shotgun was now separated from him, almost near Lon. At this point, Nick looks at the shotgun wanting to pick up and tries to reach for it but as he did so, Lon shoots a bullet near Nick’s hand and walks over to him and grabs the shotgun to then throw it into the grass a good distance away. As Lon had his back turned against him, Nick took advantage of the opportunity and tackled Lon to the floor. The two men fell onto the blazing hot ground on the street having Nick be straddled on top of Lon. Lon’s pistol was still in his hand though so Nick had put both of his hands onto Lons arms, restraining him so he can’t move his hands or arms to be able to shoot the pistol. Lon had spit in Nick’s face so that he had to whip his face causing a small distraction. While he wiped his face with his hand, Lon out-powers his hand and punched Nick in the face causing him to lose full control of Him. Lon throws him off of him and pulls his pistol once again out on him, aiming it directly at him with one hand while Nick was on one knee looking up at him with a ripped open shirt and messy hair. Instead of begging for mercy, Nick says “Do what you have to do but in the end, you won’t win. Don’t forget that.” It was this moment Lon’s words would later become reality. All you could hear is a gunshot… Nick was shot just once on his forehead causing immediate death. Those were Nick Perron’s last words which will go down in history as he was a great father of two, one of the best detectives ever lived and an amazing friend to all. It was at this time, Lon had thrown the pistol into the convertible and proceeded to blow the car up so that there wouldn’t be any evidence of the crime scene. He is seen walking away from the area on the side of the street whilst the vehicle exploded behind him. It wasn’t until an hour later cops had arrived to the scene due to the fact that this exact spot was so far away from society on the outskirts of Chicago in which no one really goes to unless you’re leaving or enter the city. A local Chicago female news reporter came to the scene to show what had happened at the time of the incident. Along with her was several policemen, local townspeople who were nearby trying to see what had happened and police department crime scene duct tape was seen behind her as she explained what happened to millions of viewers. This was definitely a tragedy for the young detective but the rest of the FBI’s BAU team had to cancel meeting up there because they’d figure by doing so, they’re letting Lon get even further away rather than going to catch him. At this point, he was already gone from the area. Though Safer Mendoza, another BAU Agent from the team had an idea of where the criminal was going so he decided to drive with David to go find and capture the man. While Safer is driving in the same direction to catch up to him, he begins to say “You think he’ll get far?” as he’s looking towards the road in front of him. David glances at him saying,”No one can quite know that type of stuff but it’s fair to say that he’s most likely got something planned once he gets to his destination.” The two had conversation about the situation throughout the ride. The team were expecting that Lon will want to put a fight at this place he’s going to as a last resort. This meetup between the two might cause innocent lives to die or end up with Lon either dying or going to jail if he doesn’t comply with them. Either way though, it’s going to be a sticky mess. As the two FBI Agents reached the assumed destination of where Lon was headed towards, they start to park the SUV and begin to make their way inside of an abandoned church that’s suspected of being one of the criminals hideouts. As the both of them entered the building with their hand guns pointing around the area they suddenly see Lon sitting on a throne that’s in front of the rows of chairs. There’s actually supposed to be a podium right there but that was changed by one of Lon’s men so that he can sit instead of stand there. It was quite a simple request. The two men pointed their pistols at Lon whilst all he did was look at them and started to speak. He begins saying, “Ah I’m glad you two can make it but where’s everyone else? Isn’t there other people in your little team of yours?” David glances at Safer while he starts speaking to Lon saying “Don’t worry about them, just worry about yourself. Listen you don’t have to do this…You can just comply with us and you’ll live to see another day. Come down from the throne and let us arrest you for what you’ve done.” David puts his attention back onto Lon. Right then and there, Lon stands up from the throne. However as soon as he was about to say anything, a whole batch of police officers had rushed into the church standing right next to the two agents with their guns pointed towards Lon. Lon smiled after seeing that happen and turned his back against everyone putting both of his hands close to each other. It seemed at this point he was giving up on running away from the police and the FBI. He begins to say whilst his back is turned, “Go ahead… Just arrest me already, for what it’s worth I’ll wait until I can come out and when that happens. I hope by then the whole town leaves because I’ll be coming back in a glaze of glory.” David glances to the side and gives the go ahead hand signal to go arrest the criminal. Several cops timely approach Lon and put him in cuffs, so that they can put him easily into the back of a police car. March 24th, 2017. This was the day everybody would remember. The day the infamous Lon Bryce had got caught and arrested. The intense week was far from over though because as soon tomorrow came, there was already a case about a dead body found lying on the floor not too far from the police department. The case was given to all of the BAU Special Agents to solve. David is seen walking up alongside the other remaining BAU Agents to the area of the crime scene until stopping in their tracks to look at what happened this day. All you could see in front of them was a bloodied corpse laying flat on the floor with multiple wounds all of the victim’s body. There’s crime scene tape all around the area to go with it. Blood of the victim was somewhat splattered across the ground. Not cleaned up at all. It didn’t seem like an act of professionalism within killing standards. It must’ve been something else, a type of clear message to give off to the media. But why and who would do such a thing? Those were the questions the FBI had to solve. David kneels down on one knee to get a closer view of the gory scene whilst a police officer beside him starts to explain what had happened. Once the officer had told him no one knows who did this. There are no connections leading up to their traces at all. David stands back up and glances at the policeman saying “This is something much bigger than just an attack on an innocent person. As you can see..” David quickly points out the victim’s right-arm has a tattoo of the letter ‘H’ on it in a capital font. He goes on to say “I’ve seen this before… The victim has a tattoo of a capitalized letter ‘H’ which is an abbreviation for a cult that resides in Chicago, that’s called Hiller’s. It seems the victim here isn’t all that innocent, he must’ve been part of the cult until he most likely did something the rest of them didn’t like hence resulting in death. To add to that, their cult is highly known for sacrifices and strict rules.” Monica starts to speak while looking at David beside him, saying “This couldn’t be the first time this cult has got away with murder. Because if you look closely at the detail of the wounds, you can’t see any sign of the victim struggling to get away or even fighting back. So they’re definitely dangerous and there’s a chance they may be armed.” The police officer walks away after saying all he knows about the scene to go talk to the other two nearby officers. Safer looks both at David and Monica for a second before he starts to say “If they were armed with weapons, it would’ve been fairly obvious from the bruises but they seem like hand-made bruises to me. The location and time of death don’t match at all which means the cult doesn’t care about the smaller details. Their action to not care about that will result in them easily getting tracked down. Let’s try phones first then start looking for any license plates of their cars. This should pinpoint exactly where they are. David, notify Amanda immediately of the situation and what she should be looking for.” David nods in agreement and starts to speak into a tiny microphone that’s connected to his shirt. David begins saying “Can you search for coordinates of the victim’s vehicle? The other cult members might’ve taken off with it.” You can clearly hear Amanda’s voice come through the small microphone. She says back “Yes, doing that now… It appears that the vehicle is parked five blocks down in the east direction at an abandoned church known as Saint Hill Church. It’s been vacant for several years now so don’t expect too many casualties nearby. Right now I’m setting up a GPS-coordinated pathway to the exact location to your vehicle.” David says “Thanks, keep in touch.” David looks over at the black SUV parked nearby and starts to walk towards the vehicle with the other three BAU Agents. They all started to follow the GPS coordinates to the destination of the victim’s car where is the suspected hideout for the cult. Soon enough Monica pulled up and parked the car in front of the church. All three of the agents decided to get out of the SUV and approach the scene on foot from here on out. The area seemed quiet and isolated, too quiet though for their liking. David walks out in front of the rest of the unit in a careful and precise fashion checking to make sure it’s all clear outside before going in, aiming his pistol around then at the doors of the church. Once close enough, David stops near the door, looks back at the team so they can be prepared for what’s to come and waited until they’re all in position. Monica leans against the other side of the door until he finally opened it. The three agent’s rushed in with their pistols aimed towards the inside of the church whilst wearing bulletproof vests. About five cult members are seen standing around a dead corpse of a human which is resting on top of where Jesus would be at. The cult members hear the agent’s and look back with shock. Safer begins to yell out “Freeze! Do not move! We will not hesitate to shoot at will. You’re all under arrest for the countless murders under the cult’s regime.” David says out in a clear tone to them while getting closer with his pistol still pointing at them, “Put your hands up where we can see them and turn around slowly.” The five cult members did so and ended up getting cuffed with handcuffs. They were wearing some type of all black robes with a red imprinted letter ‘H’ in the middle of it. After that, you can see three BAU Agent’s putting the cult members into the back of two police cars as soon as they showed up which was minutes later. As soon as they were all arrested, the police cars took off going in the same direction to the prison. What’s left behind is the three agents standing around the SUV for a quick moment to take in what just happened. Something felt off though in the air, as if the leader of the cult hasn’t been found by them yet. That proved to be true because he just came out of hiding behind the corner of the building with a weapon in his hand, specifically a 99mm. Pistol that’s pointed directly at the three agents. Both Safer and David took out their weapons and aimed at the remaining cult member whilst Monica stood there in shock of the situation. She unfortunately never had a gun assigned to her because she’s just there to collect evidence. The cult leader started to say in a clear tone, “You ruined everything, we were supposed to be the ones that over the government! Not get thrown in jail. This is all your fault!” He stood a fair distance away from the agents as he continued to point his gun at them. Safer waited until he was done talking and started to say “Listen man, you don’t have to do this, just put the gun down. Think about your family..Your wife, Tarisha and what she would think of this. This isn’t you, it never was.” The cult leader gulped right before lowering his weapon, saying “T-tarisha… You’re right. I guess making the cult was only a distraction from me knowing she was cheating on me with another man.” The agents glance at each other then looks back at him, waiting for anything to happen. David starts to say, “No one needs to get hurt here, okay? Gently slide the gun on the floor to us so this can be all settled properly. Because if you do attempt any moves on us, I can guarantee you, I’ll shoot you before you can even touch the trigger to shoot us.” The Hillers cult leader looks down at the ground and gently slides the pistol on the floor to the direction of the agents. Monica stands there, in shock that this is happening and doesn’t make a single move that would trigger the cult member. Safer picked up the .99m pistol, puts the safety on it and gently hands it over to Monica so she can put it as collected evidence. Safer then told the leader of the cult to turn around with his hands behind his back. So he did just that, Safer ends up walking towards the guy with his pistol aimed at him until he was close enough to handcuff the suspect. After he was handcuffed, Safer continues to bring him into the back of the black SUV with handcuffs on to restrain the criminal. Time passed by quickly as they personally drove the cult leader to the FBI Agency to interrogate him because David strongly believes that the Hiller’s Cult is connected to the serial killer that died recently, mostly because of the way how each murder is done. A victim is chosen specifically for certain reasons and they’re tortured until the individual dies a horrible yet slow death. Once the agent’s reach the agency, they decide on letting David do the interrogation himself for he specializes in dealing with homicide cases such as this current one. Both Blaine and Monica walk up the one sided glass behind the thick wall of the interrogation room whilst they wait for David to walk into the room with the criminal. The Hiller’s cult leader whose name Isaiah Melso begins to get accordingly escorted into the interrogation by two police officers. Once he sits down on the chair in front of the table with the handcuffs still on his hands, the two police officers take some steps back to each side of the criminal so just in case he tries to do something, they’re there to handle the situation. All you could see now is David entering the room in a calm fashion. The intelligent agent closes the door behind him and begins to walk over to the table, starting to sit down in front of the criminal. At first, David takes a second to look at him but it wasn’t long after that until he started speaking, saying “So I know you’re not telling us something that’s valuable to this case. It’s more than just several murders because that’s too easy to pull off for the group you have. However I’m sure you would like to know how I can tell this is bigger than what it seems.” Isaiah looks down at his fists while they’re clenched with each other then looks back up at David, asking “I’ll play your little game then… How did you know?” Whilst their conversation continues on, both Monica and Blaine continue to stand there looking inside at the two sitting down discussing matters. After Isaiah asked that question, David lays an unsealed folder down onto the table and opens it up showing several evidence based pictures of bloodied corpses, some from the infamous serial killer, Larry Olsen and some from Hiller’s cult. After doing so, David glances back at Isaiah with a serious look in his face, pointing at each of the pictures one by one saying “These are side-to-side photos of homicides that strongly hint that your cult is influenced by Larry. Why? You must ask? Well right here is a victim that got wounded badly by your cult, the wounds are actually made from a baseball bat that was bought from the local sports store about three miles away from here. It’s clear the victim wasn’t dead by first hit otherwise you guys wouldn’t continue to keep smashing the bat into his body. Your cult enjoyed the murder with each second by hitting the poor guy to death with his final hit onto the chest. To be exact, the seventh hit but it’s not about the numbers because check this out.” David starts to point his finger onto a photo of a victim of Larry Olsen who was murdered the same way. Death by baseball bat and guess where he bought it from? The exact same place your cult bought their baseball bat. Quite a coincidence if you tell me and if that’s not enough evidence to link you two together. There’s several other cases here that your cult and you have also replicated.” Isaiah chuckles for a second, and shakes his head then looks straight at David. “Something funny?” asks David. Isaiah begins to respond to the question, saying “It’s just that I thought you would’ve figured this out much earlier by now.” Suddenly Monica’s phone starts to ring as it’s in her pocket and she begins to answer the call, pressing the phone on her right ear hearing her husband’s voice through the phone. Monica started to walk away from the glass a bit and talked to him about what she was doing. It seemed he missed her as she was working overtime today. Soon the phone call was over whilst Blaine looked over his shoulder at Monica then puts his attention back at the interrogation. She calmly walks back up to the glass along side Blaine and continues to watch the two men talk back and forth with her arms crossed. David says back “My team has the best case close rate in the Federal Bureau of Intelligence since we were first put into duty. Your input on our case results is surely corrupt and false so there’s no need for your opinion on the case. If I could say, I’d say my teams timing could’ve been better because there’s been three murders so far but your little cult you got going didn’t get too far with their plans to duplicate Larry Olsen’s murders. He’s got way more murders than you will ever have and yes, that’s indeed a fact. Not an opinion. Anyways, that’s all I need to know. Thank you for your cooperation.” David gathers all of the photos and puts them back into the sealed document, starting to stand up and begins to leave the interrogation room. Since then hours has passed as the rough day was finally over. At Monica’s house, she turns her body on the bed to the direction of the alarm clock and notices it’s currently 10:24 in the night which is way past her usual sleep schedule. She groans in discomfort and picks up her phone that was laying on the bed sheets because she sees a text message from Safer that says “Make sure to be there tomorrow on time for Nick’s funeral. We’re all gonna be there. Oh and I can’t wait to see Marion again. Anyways I’m gonna stop bothering you now, have a good sleep.” Right after she’s done reading the text message that is being showed on her phone’s lock screen, she gently puts the phone down onto a small counter on the side of the bed. The sound of a shower being finished up occurs. All you can see is a fit young man coming out of the bathroom door with a towel on that covers only his private parts. He leans over on the wall with his shoulder and says in a calm tone while looking at Monica, “Hey babe. I just need to take this really quick and I’ll be right back.” He says as he gets off of the wall and picks up his clean underwear that are on the bed. Monica replies with “Hey. Sure I’ll be right here waiting for you.” She lays back comfortably on the bed on the side of her back. Some minutes pass by and her boyfriend comes back into the room wearing just briefs right after closing the bathroom door. He walked over to the other side of the bed and ended up getting behind Monica, laying down in a comfortable position. The guy Monica’s dating is Marion, a professional businessman who owns a brand new alcoholic beverage company named Se’ Luce where’s he’s the original founder of the beverage. The night had quickly ended though as time passes by quicker than anyone expects. It was now morning by then and the bright sun rays coming from outside from the closed curtain proved that it was gonna be a sunny day. Monica eventually wakes up just in time and is seen getting dressed for the funeral that’s going to take place in the nearby local cemetery. Everyone within the unit planned to go so it was only right that she showed up as well and pay her respects to a fallen agent. At the cemeteries parking lot, you could see Angelica Perez park a red colored twenty-sixteen Nissan. She’s the BAU Special Agent who was on vacation in Hawaii for the weekend. Safer, David and Monica all look over at the parking lot from the cemeteries sidewalk as they’re in shock from seeing her come to the funeral because they all thought that she was still in Hawaii enjoying herself. She got of her car and proceeded to make her way towards the group of agents. Once close enough, Angelica smiles and greets each fellow agent with a hug. There wasn’t much time for talking though so their small talk conversation they had after the hugs ended fairly quickly; the group of agents then made their way following the concrete path to where Nick’s funeral is being held at inside of a building. A glimmer of sunshine made its way into the room while everyone got beside each other around the coffin. The preacher looked around waiting for the last person to show up before starting to speak. The room was silent and the air seemed dense as everyone there was close to the fallen agent. You could tell by looks on the remaining agent’s faces that this isn’t going to be an easy day to look back on. A glimpse of Safer, Angelica, David and Monica is shown – each having an expression of sadness on their faces as they can’t believe this happened. As soon as the last person came beside the rest of the people near the coffin, the preacher started to speak saying “Nick Perron was the light in the darkness for this city. He was truly an amazing person and an even better agent in the field. May he soul rest in peace in Heaven. If anyone has anything to say, please go do so.” Angelica lifts her head up from looking down at the coffin with red roses and yellow daisies on it, saying “He was both my best friend and partner in the field. I’ve always wanted to follow him in his footsteps because he was one of the best agents we have out there today and right now, I’m making a promise to him that I won’t ever stop-” She sniffles because of a tear coming out of her eye as she gently wipes the tear off her face and begins speaking again. “Being who I am and doing justice in this cruel and dark world. Nick, I know you hear me, you’re safe now up there. That’s all that counts. Don’t worry about us down here.” It became silent for a moment before Safer started to say while looking down at Nick’s coffin, “All of us will never forget this day as it’s now etched into our hearts. An unforgiving god has made this happen and now all of us are paying the price. However, we won’t dare give in to depression but rather think of you in our dreams, Nick Perron. May you rest in peace.” He gulped after finishing his last sentence. The funeral kept going until the sun started to go down and soon enough after everyone had a chance to speak, people started to leave the building. David was the first one out in the group while the rest of the agents followed behind him. When they all got out and the funeral was over, the BAU had a quick talk with each other before leaving the cemetery. Before they left though, they see Nick’s parents walking by them and talked to them for a bit to see how they are holding up. Minutes pass as their conversation was over and everyone started to make their way home for the rest of the day. It was made clear that after the funeral had happened, the head of the FBI Agency had given the BAU the rest of the day off. By then all you could see is Angelica heading towards the couch in the neatly decorated living room as she sits down on it and looks at the pitch black television screen for a minute, quietly thinking about life itself and hows shes going to deal with this death. It seemed the rest of the other agents in the same unit we’re gonna have a gloomy day at home as well. There was not a single moment where they could find themselves smiling or laughing while knowing Nick died recently. This was just another harsh obstacle God himself has put in front of the agents as a test to see if they can handle it or maybe it’s not God at all; it might just be Lon’s doing. Every agent dealt with the death their own way and made it through the day with their emotions in a knot. A whole three days has passed as there wasn’t any cases to break so all that the agents did was paper work in the agency until the fourth day comes around. Angelica walks up to her desk that looks the same way she left it when she left for the vacation and picks up a paper that’s actually a new case that just came in today. She begins reading over it but suddenly David comes from behind the woman interrupting her, saying “Just sitting here reading that all day isn’t going to help solve cases you know?” He chuckled before Angelica turns around and grins at him, saying “I know that, I was just taking a quick look at it. ” David replies back “To let you know, that wasn’t quick at all because implying it was quick would mean that you read most of that paper within seconds and I know you’re not the best at going over literacy. However besides that, there’s something me and you need to take care of before we have a go at that case. Here, follow me.” Others in the agency we’re focused on either talking to each or or handling paperwork, minding their own business. Angelica looked worried at him as she was confused a little bit, putting the paper down back onto her desk gently where it first was so she could follow him. She ends up following him out of the building and into their company vehicle that’s out parked in front. Angelica starts to wander what he could be talking about while he turns the car on and begins to drive to the destination. Once David started driving, he begins saying “So there’s been a lot going on that you’ve been missing and right now, we’re worried about two people named Abiah and Blaine as their currently planting an explosive bomb in a heavily populated apartment complex. That’s what we’re going to go deal with right now…” He pays attention to the street as he’s driving and talking at the same time, making a left turn to get into the middle lane. She looks at him while he talks to her. David begins to say, “Between me and you, this is more important because we’ve been trying to catch these two criminals for a while now and this might be our only yet best chance to do so and I’m not missing that for anything…” She nods, agreeing with what he says and stays quiet for the rest of the drive. When the two agents get there, they get out of the car and notice that three police cars are standing by with policemen ready to shoot as their weapons are out. Both David and Angelica decide to rush into the building themselves with no officers following behind them, David kicks the door having the door swing open while he keeps his pistol out aiming it side to side after entering the building. Angelica stays right behind him while aiming her pistol, looking around for any civilians or suspects that could be in the room. David looks at Angelica and says, “They were spotted in the highest floor mid-way planting the bomb last time I heard. The bombs is set to twenty minutes so by now it’s probably halfway done. That leaves us ten minutes to find the bomb and defuse it. Come on. Up here.” David starts to make his way up the stairs while aiming down his sights just in case he spots the criminals while Angelica follows right behind him. The two agents make their way to the top floor of the apartment building and stick by each others sides while aiming their pistols around but when the agents found the bomb in the middle of the hallway along with several knocked out civilians nearby, suddenly a shot is fired by Abiah at the two from behind the right corner wall up ahead but the bullet missed. Abiah takes cover again, with a revolver in her hands, hiding behind the wall while the two agents quickly take cover behind a the other two corner walls that are parallel to each other. Blaine ends up leaving Abiah behind on accident, thinking that she was right behind him and starts to reenter the apartment building after realizing she’s still in there with an active bomb that can go off any minute now. Some minutes go by as the two agents shoot back and forth at the dangerous suspect, Abiah exchanges some shots but its clear to her that she’s surrounded and that there’s only way out now that doesn’t include death as the result, the roof. Once Abiah realized she had no other choices but to go up, she started to run past the hallway onto the other side of the wall so that she can get up to the roof. Once she gets up on the roof, Angelica and David decide to split up so that one of them is chasing after her while the other deals with the bomb. Angelica follows Abiah, getting up the ladder to reach the roof and as she got up there, you could see Abiah standing in the middle of the roof with her hands behind her head after Angelica pointed her pistol at her while wearing a bulletproof vest. Blaine was running up the stairs to reach the top floor and once he got to where the bomb was, he sees David’s back in front of him attempting to defuse it but that wasn’t the case at all. David ends up making it look like he was defusing the explosive when in reality he was tricking him to get an advantage, Blaine points his assault rifle right at the young agent, about to press on the trigger when all of a sudden David swiftly points the pistol at the criminal without hesitation, looking at him for a second then shoots Blaine once in the stomach and once in the upper chest. Blaine feels the bullets penetrate his body through his shirt and drops onto his knees, coughing out blood from his mouth as he tried his best to keep holding the weapon but it was too much blood lost for him, ending up in him falling to ground, gasping for his life. David watches Blaine’s body drop to the floor for a second but then looks back at the bomb timer and realizes two minutes is not enough time to properly defuse the bomb without any help from the bomb squad. The only plausible option at the time is to get out of there without getting injured the fastest you possibly can. The roof is his best guess to get out of there the fastest so that’s where he begins running to get to. Once he gets on the roof, he sees Abiah in handcuffs with Angelica standing behind her, pushing her towards where the ladder is. David says “It’s gonna blow! Come on! I know what we must do you gotta trust me!” while he runs towards quickly pushes Abiah down onto the ground of the concrete roof while grabbing a hold of Angelica’s hand, bringing her to the edge of the roof and jumps off with her, landing in the large filled up garbage bin. By then the bombs timer hit zero and before Abiah or Blaine can stand up, the bomb explodes causing a massive explosion within the building which ends up blowing up both criminals, disintegrating their bodies to ashes and bones. The roof is immediately blown off the building with tons of flames and smoke in the area of the explosion radius. The huge explosion had shocked the policemen who are all standing near their cars and one police officer decides to call the firefighters as backup to handle the fire. They all started to think that the two agents died in the bombing but then you could see them start to get out of the trash bin, landing on the ground with both feet and make their way to the policemen with several scratches and bruises. All you could is see the two courageous agents walking away from the building that’s engulfed in flames behind them. Two male police officers come to help out the agents get away from the building that’s on fire. Once they made it to safety at their parked vehicle, David looks at Angelica after sitting down in the driver seat, still trying to reel in what just happened while the firefighters soon show up to help the situation out to keep the fire from spreading. Angelica starts off the conversation by saying, “You saved my life and-and there’s no way I’ll ever be able to repay you.” David looks down at the ground for a second then looks up at her saying, “No need to thank me. I did what anyone would do. I’m just glad you’re okay.” He gains a small grin after saying that while looking at Angelica. “Let’s get out of here yeah? I’m sure the police and fire department has everything handled from here.” David agrees with her statement resulting in the two of them heading back to the agency. Hours pass since then causing every agent to go home for the rest of the day because the company working time is over for the day until tomorrow comes. The scenario switches from that to showing Safer sitting down on his couch at home watching the news channel explain the bombing situation that happened a couple of hours ago. He sits up, getting out of of his comfortable position he was in and focuses more on the news report since it’s about a local crime scene. You could hear a male reporter’s voice come through the television saying, “I’m here at the crime scene where two criminals were accused of planting and setting off an explosive within the apartment complex. Sources say that these two people have once helped out Lon Bryce do illegal crimes. I’m afraid a reason for this cruel act against humanity isn’t available at the time, however as we speak FBI agents are on the case to figure out just why would they plan such a thing. That is all I have to report for now until later notice, this is Ben Wickham on Channel Five News, I hope you have a great night.” Safer sighs, stands up from the couch and heads over to the all white kitchen refrigerator to see if there’s inside of it to eat. Once he starts checking out what’s to eat, the sound of the doorbell going off once vibrates throughout the whole house causing him to turn his attention to the front door. He then camly shuts the refrigerator door and walks over to the front door, opening it completely to see who’s ringing the doorbell at this time of the night. Patiently standing there near the front doors entrance is actually David, Angelica and Monica all dressed up in spiffy-like clothing. Safer says “Hey what are you guys doing here at such a time?” Angelica looks at him and replies back saying, “Well me and the others thought it would be nice for all of us to go out to a restaurant together to have dinner and hang out.” She glances over to the side at Monica and David then smiles and looks back at Safer. Before Safer could speak once again, David begins to say “Our work activities shouldn’t stop us from being able to have a relaxing dinner once in a while; besides it’s good for social skills.” After hearing those statements, the middle-aged agent decides to take on the offer of going out with the rest of his unit. He calmly says “Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt to go out with the team. Here let me go get my jacket and I’ll meet you guys there.” The three agents at the front porch agree to what he says, all of them start to walk back to their SUV which was parked near the sidewalk while Safer goes back into his house to find and put on his jacket.
