Julie left and called her father, “Dad, is Zane Heart powerful enough to destroy a whole company?”

“Yes, why do you ask?” he said.

“You know the marriage you wanted me to destroy and marry into. His wife is the sister to Zane Heart. If I break up the marriage then Zane will destroy our family for hurting his.”

“Come home now. I did not really like this deal anyway. We will find you someone better.” He said.

She hung up and took the first flight back to the Capital.

David finished up his classes and went home. Babs greeted him at the door with a kiss. “Did she buy it?”

“She is on a flight home as we speak. We really need to buy Bella and Zane a nice gift for letting us use their reputation.”

“Ok, I’ll figure something out. Dinner is ready. Do you know when Neil will be back? I think Skylar is missing him. He just would not go down tonight.”

David walked up the stairs, “I’ll go wash up and I’ll fix this.”

After washing up he went into Neil’s room and took one of his shirts and lightly misted it with his cologne. The took and placed it near Skyler.

He watched as the little guy grabbed the shirt and fell fast a sleep. He really did miss Neil. He was really glad Neil stepped up to be a father but left the girl to him.

Betty was busy with party after party. She missed Sally right now. She had become her right hand woman.

Oliver came in her office, “lunch?”

“I can’t; I have a hundred things to do, so many calls to make.”

“Let some of the others do it.” He said.

“They are busy too. Mary is at a party right now. Jill has three consultation for potential partys. Kim is out with a sick child. Venus is in capital city getting a fountain punch bowl for an up coming party.”

“When will you have any time for me?” he wined.

“Poor baby, What would you like me to do?”

“Eat lunch with me.”

“Tell you what go pick up two lunch boxes and bring them over. We can eat here while I work.” She said.

“Got it, be right back.”

Oliver went down the block and got two hamburgers and two orders of onion rings. Then he stop by the tea shop and got two glasses of peach tea.

When he got back Betty took a short break to eat and talk to him.

“When do you want to get married?” he asked.

“I’m not really sure.” Betty said.

“Have you even started to plan it?” he asked.

“I’ve been busy. I had the new year eve thing. And we have three Valentine’s partys. Two more weddings, and a sweet 16 party. Then I have easter and Bella’s wedding. Sally was my right hand and she is out for at least six weeks.”

“Then lets not do a wedding. Lets just get married.” He smiled.

“A little ceremony at the court house. We could bring the boys along so we could do the adoption too. Easy Peasy.” He took her hand.

“That does sound great. As soon as you have the paperwork done for the boys we will do just that.” She squeezed his hand.

“Then I’ll get started on it.”

Zane was very busy at the corporation because it was the first of the year and getting everything ready for end of the year reporting.

After the mess of embezzlement of millions the company really needed to end on a better note.

He had three meeting today and had to fly out to the Capitol to meet with a group there. Then fly over seas for a few days of meetings there. He hated all this. It would be almost a week before he got to see his Bella again.

He stopped at lunchtime to call her. “Hello my beauty. Miss me yet?”

“Always. I have your bags all pack. George will be picking them up at 2 to load them in the plane. Do you really have to go for that long?”

“I am afraid so. I don’t want to. I won’t sleep good with out you.”

“Can I come with you?” She asked.

“Do you really want to go? It will be boring meetings after meetings. I won’t be able to keep you company.” He said.

“Would you let me go shopping on my own?”

“Bella, you know the answer to that.” He said sternly.

“Ok, I’ll stay here with the bodyguards. No going out unless I have to. You are a kill joy.”

“I love you Bella. I’ll call when I can. Please stay out of trouble.” He soften his tone.

“I love you to. Be safe.” Bella said.

“How long you going for?” Angela asked packing George’s bag.

“I’ll miss you. I’ll hold down the fort for you.” She sighed.

He walked up to her and placed his arms around her. She leaned back into him. She really loved this man. 15 years seemed like just a few. She turned in his arms and kissed him.

George drove over to the mansion to get Zane’s things. He spent a few moments talking to Bella.

He then drove over to Bert’s house and picked him up with his things.

“Ready for all this?” George asked.

“Not really, this will be my first trip out of the country. I’m a little scared. Plus Lily is upset I’ll be gone a week.” Bert said

“I’ll get you there in one piece.” He laughed.

They got to the airport and got everything loaded. At 4 pm sharp, Zane pulled up and they were ready to leave.

The flight to the capital took very little time. Two rooms were gotten for Bert and Zane. George would stay with the plane. Luckily there a hostel for pilots at the airport for him to stay in.
