Become The Duke’s Wife Or Die - Chapter 89
“I’ll help you change clothes.” Baron Jason seemed to have turned into a predator, capable of attacking prey only by using his sharp and piercing eyesight, although in a sweet way.
One eyebrow raised, as he observed the blush on Tania’s cheeks. It looked adorable in her eyes, which suddenly underwent a significant change in her blinking slowly slowing down, like a person in love.
“You want it.” He said after being stunned for quite a while, he finally managed to come to his senses. It didn’t seem like the right time to be captivated by a girl’s beauty, especially if she was the enemy’s comrade. “It’s obvious on your face.”
“I don’t want it at all.” Tania covered her honesty, by presenting a lie that looked slick and pathetic. Even a small child could detect her lies. She was too innocent to lie to someone.
“Are you going to keep lying to me?” he whined, seeing she turned away because he was caught wanting something less immoral. “Even walls in the dark know what you want.” Stepping foot closer, treading on the warm mat. His hand patted her knee, rubbing it gently. “Let me help you to change clothes now! Your clothes are too dirty and there is a lot of blood.”
‘If you hadn’t kidnapped and tortured me, then I would be fine, and wearing clean and proper clothes,’ she thought pitifully. Her head looked up sharply when she felt the writhing of a hand touching her thigh, rubbing it while revealing her skirt. “My Lord!” she shouted nervously, trying to back away and escape, forgetting the fact that she was injured and imprisoned as well.
“What’s your name?” he whispered, as he continued to rub as if he wanted to uncover something thick. His fingers wandered at several points, tormenting and also pampering. “Do you still want to remain silent and not answer my questions while I try to punish you?” Started infiltrating to do something further.
“No,” she hissed, shaking her head, cursing herself for enjoying it. “Don’t do anything! I’m not even guilty this time. I always obey you.”
“You haven’t obeyed me at all,” said Baron Jason. “Because you have to hurt someone if you want to do that. You know I can’t be fooled so easily, just so you know.” Boasts himself outright, something he does often but doesn’t always get the response he wants.
“Didn’t I tell you that you won’t get anything if you catch me?” Tania convinced herself instead of convincing Baron Jason. “Because she was held captive in Were.”
“Is that the only news you heard?”
“Is there any other news that I don’t know about?”
“Nothing,” he shook his head, worried because he thought she already knew about Lyra and Duke Kleo’s wedding plans. His sigh was too obvious but failed to be detected by her fearful gaze. “Probably nothing, other than the announcement of the execution.”
“Impossible.” She put her hands on the mat as if she wanted to shake the ground. “If she is going to be executed then why did you kidnap me?” Trembling in ambiguity. It seemed she didn’t know about Lyra and Duke Kleo’s wedding announcement. What she heard was that Lyra was locked up in Wereal for sleeping with Duke Kleo.
Shrug. “I just want to see her suffer more, that’s all.” Then pinching her chin, making her face look up, observing the cruelty of the green color in her pupils which now looked anxious and dimmed from sadness and anxiety. “I want to mess with her heart, more than I ever felt.”
“Feelings can’t be forced, My Lord,” she whispered with difficulty, her mouth hard to open. “If she rejected your proposal then you shouldn’t have hurt her like this.”
“She hurt me too!” Push her body until it hits the wall. “I am also the one being hurt here. She toyed with my sincere feelings. From the start I said I wanted to marry her but she just toyed with me and left me after we slept together.”
“Don’t men always say bullshit?” she insinuated. “Maybe that’s why she can’t trust you completely.” Choking and coughing as Baron Jason’s hands tugged at the front of her clothes. Paranoia haunted her again.
“This is your biggest mistake!” He gushed as if he wanted to burn her with anger. “You defended her too much, justifying everything she did even though it was wrong. So will you still protest if I kidnap you? You can stop her bad attitude, or at least give her some advice.”
“If I did, do you think he would just listen to me?”
“So you agree he’s guilty and should be killed right?” Baron Jason growled when he saw Tania shake her head again, this time more firmly and more firmly than before.
“I know she’s wrong, but can you remind her instead of torturing her? I beg?”
“Do you think your wish will come to fruition? Who do you think you are?” Disgusting and condescending look.
Tania bit her lip, feeling the pain in her wounds seemed to return in an instant after a while ago it had slowly faded. Her fingers moved restlessly, trapped in an annoyingly ambiguous state.
“I know I’m nobody.” Her words seemed deep, both from the way she said them as well as her languid tone. Memories of the past are like slapping her again, which gives her clues about her having been dumped on the streets by her family. She didn’t even know whether she was still wanted by someone until now.
“Well, you know that right?” He squinted, pulling his hand from her thigh. “So there’s nothing you can do here except just obey.”
“I know.” Her voice was too low, as she lowered her head as if she was on trial and ready to be executed. Sadness assailed her, as well as regretting why her fate could be like this. While the other girls have complete families and lovers, she must struggle to find food and her happiness. The handsome guys who like her can’t get her attention, while the guys she likes are very petty and terrible.
Seems like she’s always been wrong from the start, including her birth.
Her sadness touched Baron Jason’s heart, making him waver for several reasons. His fingers reached out to touch her face, rubbed along her jaw, down to her neck, then on her dress button, unfold it.
“My Lord!” She widened her eyes as she tried to tug at his hand. But after seeing the vicious eyes of him, her fear and anxiety were greater than her refusal.
“You want your friend to be safe?”
“Can you let her go?” asked Tania hopefully, seeing Baron Jason just tilting his head while his finger started to creep into the cracks and mounds.
