Becoming A God In Harry Potter - 15 Nicholas Flamel
After a torturous twenty minutes of being tickled by magic, Jay released them from their torture. All of them looked at him like he was the devil, at this point of time there was no one they were more afraid of. “Haha! You guys look so scared, come to Big sister Olivia.” They all came and hid behind Olivia while Jay sighed at their continued childishness. “Jack, have you made any progress on the, um Training we have been doing?” Jack came back to himself once Training was mentioned and indicated his head to say no. “Al right, I have some new ideas. Although we don’t usually join you and your friends, we’ll meet you at the, place on Sunday.” Jack, Harry, Ron and Hermione collectively sighed. It wasn’t that Jay and Olivia were bad or mean, they were very nice. The Fifth Year Slytherin Student who called Hermione, `a Mud blood’, was actually more afraid of the “William Demon’ than a couple of First Years. they had been able to beat him because of numbers but Jay had called him out and beaten him fair and square while leaving the unfortunate soul with few Hexes and Jinxes which were hard to remove by himself. Every time they gathered with Jay and Olivia, they all ended up in beds for recovery, even with everyone joining forces, they were hardly a match for the Two.
“see you later!” saying that Jay and Olivia went back to their rooms leaving the Jack and Party to sigh and leave for their rooms as well. The next few days weren’t anything big except for the whole group’s reaction when they were told Jay and Olivia were joining them in training. Everyone looked at the four like they wanted to kill them, not only had they not invited the others for a exciting event like fighting a Troll but had also managed to anger the Training Demons. “What do you say to all of us on one team against Harry, Jack, Ron and Hermione?!” Theo came up with the plan and said it in a voice that made it sound like a normal Training day unlike what it actually was, Murder Attempt. “Yes! Yes! I agree, I am certain everyone else would say it’s a great idea. Right guys.” Although Neville was the one that spoke up in agreement, it was obvious to the Four that they had no say in the matter. Even Daphne who always looked at Jack with adoring eyes now had some discontent within them. That day was bad for Harry, Jack, Ron and Hermione, in the Room of Requirements when they were having their Duel Practice, they were practically hunted by their friends and it was an all-out slaughter. The next day they woke up with pain all over their bodies and they swore to keep their friends in mind anytime an event like Troll Fighting came up.
While staying at Hogwarts, Harry had visited Hagrid a number of times and during one of those visits, Hagrid accidentally revealed that what `Fluffy’ was guarding was strictly between Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel. Harry was surprised at Hagrid’s reaction to the accidental slip but he wasn’t really interested in what Fluffy was guarding. To him, Dumbledore was one of the most powerful beings on the planet and if he was guarding something, Harry wasn’t going to stick his nose into that. But, he was surprised at the fact that Nicholas Flamel’s name was in his memory but nothing else. This was quite a shock to Harry as he had been studying about the Magical World with Jack since young and although no one in the world could claim to know everything, their study was quite comprehensive.
“So, do you guys know who this guy is?!” he asked the question to the group and surprise-surprise, no one knew anything, well except for Jack of course but he was more happy at the fact that Harry, Ron and Hermione weren’t concerned about what Fluffy was guarding or the misconception that Snape was after it. “How about this then, let’s all look for a week and anyone able to find out who this Nicholas Flamel guy is, gets One Galleon from everyone else. How’s that?!” Seamus had been the one to propose the challenge, but everyone was excited. Not for the money, no, ever since the increase in strength among Wizards and Witches and the discovery of Phantoms, a lot of jobs had come out of it. It was from the thrill of a challenge, money wasn’t a issue anymore. There were now a lot less rules banning interactions with Muggles, so a lot of Wizard or Witches were able to open businesses in that society, that is if they weren’t able to find anything in the Wizarding World. From Restaurants to Factories, there was progress in the development of both worlds, in both social and economical ways.
A week passed and Jack wondered if he should tell the group about the Stone or not, turned out he didn’t need to. The great thing about having friends, particularly many friends was that there was variety. Although they were all good students (most of the time), they still knew how to have fun and because of the variety they knew to have fun in different ways. For example, Ron loved to collect Chocolate Frog Collection Cards and so did Seamus and Dean. On the last day of the challenge week, they had been in their Dorms messing around, eating Magic Sweets when Ron found a Dumbledore card in one of the Chocolate Frog Collection Cards and sighed at the fact he already had six of them but the incident jogged Harry’s memory to the fact that Dumbledore had worked with Nicholas Flamel and also that Jack’s parents went to meet someone called Nicholas Flamel to celebrate the Old Man’s birthday. “Jack, he’s the dude your parents went to celebrate his birthday, the really old dude.” Jack was surprised that Harry even remembered that and acted that he was shocked and surprised. “ Dude! Ask your parents, they probably know who the guy is and what’s his relation to Dumbledore.” Dean, Seamus and Neville joined Ron and asked him to write to his parents instantly but Harry came to his rescue, `The chosen One’.
“Guys, I already remember. Ron, read the card, it’s all there.” Excitedly Ron read the card aloud and everyone was excited that they had managed to solve this puzzle. They would have gone to the Library then and there, but Jack convinced them that they had time to do so tomorrow. The next day was exciting for the whole group even Jack was proud at this group of kids. It had taken them a week to solve a puzzle that had taken the golden trio months to solve and that was with the assistance from Plot. “It’s here, Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Legendary Philosopher’s Stone.” Hermione didn’t take long to find a book that recorded the said information and everyone was shocked at the fact that a legendary thing like Philosopher’s Stone existed. Even more so they were shocked at the fact that such a precious Artifact was hidden in Hogwarts.
