Becoming a Movie Queen after Transmigrating as the Villain’s Cat - Chapter 22
“Xiaoxiao?”
Luo Ke approached the cat climbing structure, stood on tiptoe, and reached out to touch the cat in the small house.
Lin Sifei, body conditioned against perceived threats, immediately lashed out at the hand.
“Sssss——” Luo Ke took in a breath and withdrew her hand. There were three long blood stains on it.
She sighed, combed her fingers through her hair, and muttered softly, “Xiaoxiao, don’t be angry, I’ll open all the canned fish for you. If you don’t want to see me, I will go upstairs.”
Lin Sifei heard the muffled footsteps that ascended the stairs, growing softer and softer.
She poked her head out and looked around. There was really no sign of Luo Ke around.
Did Luo Ke just let her go like this? If your house cat wasn’t actually a house cat, wouldn’t one typically be scared?
She jumped down, jumped over the canned food, and rushed to the tablet next to the coffee table to take a look at the recovered data. The hacker person really performed their work quite well, since even her previous search records had been restored.
She crumbled to the ground, paws hugging her head. She had searched for Yan Yafei, Yuan Mo and several of the heroine’s paramours in it, and also searched up some information in regards to the entertainment company in the plot.
She really didn’t want to live anymore.
Lin Sifei lay down on the sofa, sighing, unknowingly, gradually falling asleep in the fragrance of the canned cat food.
In her room on the second floor, Luo Ke watched the surveillance. Seeing Xiaoxiao looking at the tablet and despairing, she laughed a little. While watching, she picked up the iodine and other disinfectants to put it on the back of her arm and hand to sterilize the scratches the cat had given her.
Xiaoxiao probably only just found out that she was exposed. However, Luo Ke didn’t know if she would run away.
Luo Ke was a little worried. Although the windows in the house were locked, she wondered if Xiaoxiao could open it.
While she was worrying over this, she saw the cat lying on the sofa roll over. Startled, Luo Ke immediately sat upright, but she saw the cat scratching her stomach and continued sleeping soundly.
Luo Ke couldn’t help but burst into laughter as she put the computer on the bedside table. As she looked at the sleeping face of the cat inside, she laid down and raised her hand to touch the empty space by the pillow. She rubbed at Xiaoxiao’s regular sleeping spot longingly.
Alas, I hope Xiaoxiao calms down, it’s boring to sleep without her.
Luo Ke got insomnia again, and it was only in the early morning that she finally fell asleep. The white mist wrapped her up again, soothing Luo Ke’s frowning brows, and she floated relaxedly in the air.
“Meow!”
Hearing the familiar call, she opened her eyes suddenly and saw a four-legged beast descend from the sky, kicking her four feet on her stomach.
Luo Ke grunted in pain and slammed heavily on the ground.
“Xiaoxiao, it hurts.”
Lin Sifei shook her head and jumped off her with a cold snort. She jumped onto the bedside table and looked at her condescendingly.
“You’re trash, shameless, always wasting my sympathy, hmmph!”
Hearing her talking, Luo Ke rubbed her stomach and sat up, knowing that it was in a dream again, “Xiaoxiao, I was really wrong this time, I’m sorry, okay.”
Lin Sifei squinted at her, “Where were you wrong?”
“They did something very wrong by cheating on each other. You exposed the matter and let my first aunt see her husband’s true face. There is nothing wrong with it. When I didn’t ask why before I started to blame you, I was very wrong.”
Lin Sifei pursed her mouth sighed as Luo Ke uttered such righteous words. Apologizing wasn’t actually the problem, but the previous conditions Luo Ke framed them under were strange. Lin Sifei was happy to admit that she did it just for revenge, not for revealing whoever’s true colors.
She, however, did want to expose the true colors of the Luo family directly, but Luo Ke seemed to respect them very much.
“Luo Ke, what do you think of your grandmother and first aunt, second aunt and second uncle?”
Luo Ke did not expect that she would ask this, and was stunned for a moment, but replied: “I think they are very kind, they raised me since childhood. Grandma is very strict, but it is also to make me a qualified heir. My first aunt and second aunt like to be jealous of each other and nagging towards me. They have a predisposition for buying fake jewellery for me, but I can tell they still care about me. My second uncle…he really doesn’t have much ability, and always intervenes in various things and places his own people in the company, but I can control it. If I bring it up directly, it hurts everyone’s feelings too much.”
“Do you think the fake jewelry your aunt gave you was deliberate?
Luo Ke shrugged and tilted her head, “I thought about it, but they even handed over my father’s business to me, so why would they be greedy over little things like jewelry?”
Lin Sifei frowned, “If I said they never regarded you as a relative, would you believe it?”
“No.” Luo Ke stared into her eyes.
Lin Sifei looked at her dark eyes and laid down in frustration. She saw Luo Ke’s determination.
“Do you really not think your family is a bit weird? Do you really think that they are concerned for you?”
“The human family must be different from your demon families.”
Lin Sifei glared, gaze as sharp as a knife, “Who did you just say was a demon?!”
Luo Ke covered her mouth and laughed, “I have a bad memory, Flerken.”
When that word came out of her mouth, Lin Sifei’s toes all curled up with embarrassment.
She sighed despairingly, propping up her chin to think. Those people had lived with Luo Ke for more than 20 years, while she was just a cat who had been with Luo Ke for a few months. If she said bad things about Luo’s family rashly, she might push Luo Ke to the other side.
Luo Ke is a person who protects her shortcomings. She directly challenged her second uncle in the office before, so she might do the same to protect her supposed family.
Thinking of this, Lin Sifei felt the bleakness of the future.
Luo Ke looked at her frowning brows, inched in front of her on her knees, and touched her head, “The rules of human beings are different from yours. It is normal for you to misunderstand them, and you will know that they are not bad in the future.”
Lin Sifei hated the fact that Luo Ke didn’t understand. She looked at Luo Ke and sighed, pushed her face away with a paw to pace in circles on the spot. It was necessary to have her in touch with normal families, such as Zhao Min, or Special Assistant Lin, or maybe find her a boyfriend/girlfriend.
As Lin Sifei fell into deep thought, unknowingly, the fog came up again, so Luo Ke hurriedly asked, “Xiaoxiao, do you forgive me?”
Lin Sifei only had time to glance at her, and then the dream was over.
As the sun came in, Luo Ke sat up from the bed and scratched her hair. What did that glance from Xiaoxiao mean? She’s forgiven me? Not forgiven me?
She sighed as her phone vibrated twice, as if her secretary was intending to harass her. When Luo Ke clicked on her WeChat, she saw the mess of messages and news in the work group.
She clicked on it and saw cat pictures at every turn. She then browsed her contacts and saw a photo of Yuan Mo and his cat. The source was Yuan Mo’s blog.
She clicked on Yuan Mo’s blog, and she saw screens filled with all kinds of single cat photos, photos of people and cats.
The latest message in it read: Asking for a blind date to find a wife for my Prince here. We ask for all kinds of big beautiful cats, but the important thing is that cats get along happily.
Luo can poked at the message box to send a message to Yuan Mo,
[Do cats still need to get married? ]
[Yuan Mo: They probably are still lonely, it’s nice to have a companion.]
Luo Ke frowned. Was Xiaoxiao lonely with her every day?
She hesitated for a while, and sighed, [Let’s do one today then, I will take Xiaoxiao over.]
[Yuan Mo: Okay, why don’t we just do it in a few hours, I am at home now.]
Luo Ke threw away the phone and reluctantly covered her face. She found a boyfriend for Xiaoxiao, so hopefully she won’t be angry anymore.
Aya, chapter got eaten like three times by the server. Anyways, tell me in the comments, do you think cats need blind dates? (of course, not applicable to our Xiaoxiao). Thanks for reading!
