Being The Carefree Empress - 17 New Day
I chuckled and faced him again.
“Well. Nice to meet you, Erden. You can call me, Reenste. ” I smiled back to him which he then just nodded before turning his back.
“Don’t forget my embroidery..”
He said that and left quickly as how he appeared. I can’t help not to feel cheated again, well not really, but…
“Arghh! I forgot about the ring! I should have given it to him!”
I put my hands on the wall and looked down to the floor. I feel stupid. Time seems to flow differently when he’s around. I don’t know what should I talk to since I don’t really know him, but I feel comfortable around him. Maybe because I told him my secret. Maybe because he listened. No! You only met him like two times!
“Arghhh!!” I lift my head up and was about to bang my head to the wall when I felt someone staring at me. Then I saw Rory looking at me as if I lost my mind.
“The dinner is… ready, My Ladyship.” He said and avoided my gaze. Dang, Reenste. This kid must have thought I’m being crazy.
After fixing my hair, I followed Rory to the North, where the dinning room can also be found. Rory helped me to sit down then the dishes came in one by one. After they’re done presenting it. They stand in the corner. Which I sighed.
” Okay. Listen to my house rules.” I said and they looked serious. They even stiffened and looked nervous.
“First, always inform me if you are to leave. You are free to go out, just inform me or anyone here in the Shen Courtyard. Just so if I think about you or look for you, I and the people here will know where you are.” I said and they nodded. This is so I can know if they’re safe or not.
“Second, you are to eat with me. Whenever I eat, you can eat too. Feel free to ask, so I can give foods. Because for me, you guys are still young and needs to grow.” As I spoke those words their eyes went big from shock. Maybe my mentality is originally a 27 year old women, but I just don’t want to see them holding back their hunger as I eat. I don’t feel comfortable. The fact that they are slaves under me is already disturbing, so what more when I eat alone as they stand there. They’re still kids for goodness sake.
“Lady that’s…” Rory was about to object, when the kids started sitting in the remaining chairs.
“Eat up.” I said and smiled to them. I looked at Rory and pointed the chair in my right side. Which he just nodded and sat down looking timid and nervous. This kid really needs to train.
“Third is you’ll all accompany me in my training. I will personally train you all so your body can grow resistance and be strong. Do you all understand?” They looked at me as if I was joking but they just nodded and looked at the foods ready to eat anytime soon.
” That’s all for now. Let’s eat!” I said and we started eating more like digging. I’m also really hungry now.

A guy in white robe calmly walks in the hallway that leads to a huge wooden door with inscription and engravings to it. The Guy slowly opened the door and in the middle of the room was a silloute of a person that seems to be the epitome of serenity and pureness as he sat on a silver chair. The moonlight that goes through the glass window illuminates the room and add more elegance to the person sitting. His white hair sparkle and his eyes looking in the twinkling night sky, made it so that he seems to be out of this world.
“Greetings, High-Priest.” The Guy said after he stopped staring and bowed before proceeding closer then handing out the papers he has prepared. The High-Priest turned his attention to the papers and received it. He then skimmed through it before putting it aside.
“She’s the daughter of the once known Major Favian. A wise young man and trusting friend, tragically died from illness. He could have been Major General now if given the chance..” The High-Priest commented then paused thinking about something.
“and her mother… the mysterious beauty who held her ground against his husband’s enemy when he was sick. Why does she seems to resemble someone from afar… I wonder..”
The High-Priest took a sip from his cup filled with tea that gives of sweet and leafy aroma. His eyes glisten as he thought of something.
“What would his Majesty would think when he found out about this, I wonder. ” The High-Priest whispered to himself and smiled leaving his teacup on the table and walked away.

A firm concentrated shout woked Rory and the other kids. It was just after the sunrise and they all stood up panicking seeing the already risen sun.
“Oh. Hi, Kids! Did I wake you up?” They stared at the beautiful petire young woman wearing an outfit that isn’t usually wear by ladies as she wipe her cheeks with cloth and her long black hair that is tied up with a ribbon flutters every move she makes. This, of course is Reenste training.
“Anyways, I already made breakfast. You can all eat ahead, I’m doing some exercise, okay?” She said as she turned to the hay formed into a dummy which she uses as punching bag.
“But my lady, that was supposed to be our…” Reenste looked at Rory which made him gulped seeing her ladyship fierce looks.
“Just do as I told, Rory. Don’t be rebellious, okay? You guys need to eat a lot. You’re all still in your teenage years, for Pete’s sake.” Reenste said as she have her arms folded and waiting for Rory’s nod.
“Yes, my lady…” Rory said as he’s still bewildered from his lady’s carefree and ecentric attitude.
“Don’t you think our lady is.. different?” said the little girl with short hair as they walk towards the dinning room.
“Yeah! She’s really nice!”
“Plus she’s so cool!”
“and the prettiest!”
the triplets said consecutively.
“No, you guys! Although she’s also young like us. She treats us like we’re all children.” Said by another little girl but with long hair.
“You five.” Rory gave a warning tone to the five kids. “Don’t question ladyship’s action. She is our master. We, as a servant, must serve, be courteous, and useful.”
“It’s actually, Be useful, courteous, and serve.” said the long haired girl.
“Oh, just whatever. Let’s eat so we can start cleaning the rest of the place.”
