Time went by quickly, and it became the day of attending the banquet.

Brelin opened her eyes like dawn.

Perhaps because I was nervous about waking up early, I didn’t feel like I slept even after waking up.

The banquet was held in the evening anyway, so it would have been better to sleep more, but I didn’t think I could sleep more even if I closed my eyes.

It was still before the dusk was all bright. The air that touched my arm outside the blanket was cool.

Even in the dark, the blonde right in front of me stood out.

She blankly appreciated Redross’ handsome face, thinking that she seemed to be used to waking up close enough to reach his breath.

A lady’s journey requires a lot of luggage. In addition to the seemingly necessary items such as dresses, folding fans, and silk gloves, the luggage was like a mountain. From early in the morning, Adie checked her suitcase containing Brelin’s belongings.

“Adie, good morning.”

“Lady Brelin? Did you wake up this early?”

“I can’t sleep”.

Brelin, who never woke up until she went and woke her up. Thinking her behavior was getting weirder and weirder ,Adie led Brelin to a room with pre-prepared clothes and accessories.

The pre-selected dress was a very light pink and white mixed  dress. It went well with her vivid pink hair.

First, she washed her face cleanly and then rinsed it off again with lotion, then applied a moisturizing cream to her face and applied makeup. Even though she finished off with a light makeup, Brelin’s face lit up with a splendid beauty.

When I decorated myself with the pre-selected white dress, pink sapphire necklace, and earrings, and looked in the mirror again, the long neck and the shadow of the collarbone stood out even though it was not a very low cut dress was so beautiful that it seemed to mesmerize people.

When she looked up and asked, the maids hurriedly shook their heads up and down.

It was kind of cute for the original Brelin, so it felt a little strange to laugh and enjoy the beauty that wasn’t mine.

But it wasn’t time to think about this. She had a lot to accomplish at this banquet. First, there were stories to be told by meeting important noble families.

I couldn’t blame anyone. I resented myself for making Brelin the Duchess, not just the Duchess, to plague all the people of this kingdom with famine and severe diseases.

Well, all of this still didn’t feel real. All of these people felt like an illusion, and when I woke up from sleep, I thought that I would return to the world I knew, the world where cars were running fast.

There was no time to be immersed in useless emotions.

Even putting on makeup was somehow more like wearing clothes for fighting rather than doing it to be beautiful.

When she was asked if there was anything else she would like to choose, she looked through the beautiful and elaborately crafted items in the jewelry box and grabbed a small dagger. When I pulled it out and took a peek, the blade was not only sophisticated, but also sharp. It was definitely not a simple ornament.

“Stop looking at things like that and choose real accessories.”

“I’m going to take this, too.”

“…a dagger? At the banquet?”

“Who cares?”

It’s not like there’s a metal detector.

Brelin, who swallowed her words back, smiled slightly. It won’t be a big problem because I’m not taking it for the purpose of killing anyone, and they won’t be searching under a lady’s dress I’m just going to say goodbye to my affair partner, so I just want to be more prepared. That was all.

Adie had a restless face, but she didn’t say anything more, just chose accessories that fit better with the dress.

Redross came to her room early after finishing his political affairs and grooming.

Adie opened the door, and he came and stood behind her, who was putting up her headdress after finishing her decoration. Their eyes met through the mirror.

Even though he was handsome enough with his usual bangs-free, swept hairstyle, she was mesmerized by his meticulously groomed and soft basil-scented perfume. Before we got married, I knew why he was so popular. The gold buttons on the navy blue clothing that contrasted with the blonde really matched his tight and wide body perfectly.

You’re the male protagonist. This should be the level of the male protagonist, right?

She suddenly woke up wondering how long I had been staring at him in awe. But when she lifted her gaze and looked at his face, Redross stood there staring at her without saying a word.

Is there something out of manners in my attire?

Brelin looked over herself in the mirror. It may look a little chaotic with pink hair added to light pink colored cheeks and lips .

“Why do you look at me like that?”

Only after hearing her question did Redross look at her eyes like he just sobered up.

“It’s nothing. If you’re ready, let’s go.”

“Yes. I was actually going to go out now.”

When Adie firmly secured her hairpin and nodded, Brelin stood up and grabbed his arm lightly.

Redross squinted his eyes.

‘Why does she look so beautiful when she is dressed so neatly compared to what she usually wears at banquet halls or social gatherings? Is there room left for imagination?’

He took his thoughts lightly and led her to the carriage.

The trip to the capital was not just too far away by using the intercity connection gate made by carriage and spirit magic. The two were able to arrive at the banquet hall of the capital shortly after.

“The Duke and Duchess of Vermont are entering.”

The heads of the people who were filling the banquet hall all at once turned toward the entrance with the words guided by the servant in a high voice.

Isn’t the misfortune of another person sweet to your eyes and mouth whenever you come across it? It was their first visit to the banquet for the couple of the eccentric union, which was destined for misfortune in both name and reality.

The most beautiful couple that anyone could see walked in gracefully between their gazes. The pure white clothes and the navy blue were a beautiful combination that no one could find fault in.

Even though it wasn’t the latest trend, Brelin somehow showed a much more neat and sophisticated beauty than before when she liked to reveal them openly.

They didn’t even look so cold. For some reason, the two did not exchange glances properly, but they still seemed friendly.

People thought that they only looked friendly on the outside and how rotten they were inside.
