Beware of the Villainess! - Chapter 6
“What did you just disagree with?”
I frowned and asked him in response.
“……That……”
Ian stuttered over his words.
It appeared his shout from earlier was out of reflex.
“B, break our engagement? Dear, Melissa. What are you saying all of a sudden?”
But he soon stutteringly replied as he met my sharp gaze.
“What do you mean, suddenly? Wasn’t it what your Highness wished for? That’s why you’re showing me such things. To dissolve all affection and break-up. There’s no way you called me so we can have a threesome.”
I tilted my head to the side and spoke in a tone of voice that suggested he was acting strangely.
If he didn’t wish to break the engagement, there was no reason for me to undergo such situations. There’s no way he had fallen in true love with that woman rather than the female lead Yuri.
But “suddenly”?
“N…..No! I, what I mean is, I didn’t wish for us to break our engagement……”
Ian’s face started to flush red. It appeared he was sincerely disconcerted.
What did he want if it wasn’t a break-up?
Even after I had rolled the idea around in my head, the only reason I could come up with was to break the engagement.
“Then, a fetish for cheating?”
“How could there be such a fetish!”
“Then, are you an exhibitionist?”
“What exactly are you saying?!”
“If it’s not that, did you just want me to suffer?”
“That……!”
As I watched the speechless Ian’s face turn as red as a lobster, I couldn’t help but scornfully sneer.
Ah, Alright. So, you wanted to watch Melissa suffer?
“Oh. I thought there was some grand reason for all the trouble.”
“I…….”
“Your Highness. This kind of method definitely is abominable, but it does make me suffer. I’m watching the fiancé, whom I love so passionately, tangled in the embrace of another woman. Even if I am the Fordebrandt’s Villainess, I would be hurt.”
That was what I said as I glanced at the woman who still laid on the ground. The woman flinched and her body trembled before she started to hurriedly grab her clothes off the floor and dress herself. For a few seconds, all that could be heard in the sitting room was the rustling of clothes as the woman dressed herself. Ian didn’t utter a rebuke and I said no more in order to cool my anger.
Though it was faint earlier, the memories and emotions of Melissa were starting to come alive once more after meeting Ian and conversing with him. Melissa must have been immensely hurt from incidents like this one, Ian’s cheating, and his scandals while being criticized that her violent temper was what made her fiancé play around.
I mean, there were sometimes situations where the man cheated and the woman was criticized, so why wouldn’t there be such cases in a novel based on Medieval Europe.
‘However, Melissa was always sincere. While Ian was…….’
“But! But……! You harassed me first! You clung to me for love, bothered me, came to see me, so…… I harassed you as well.”
It seemed our Crown Prince had outstanding skills at barking.
The reason he hadn’t responded wasn’t that he had nothing to say because he was trying to act like he too, was a victim.
My lord. Look at those sulky eyes.
I gripped my fist.
“Yes, clearly I did bother your Highness. But I am your Highness’ fiancée, and I sincerely loved your Highness. I thought our relationship was one where we could have tea with each other and sometimes hug each other. If you didn’t like any of that, I will offer my apology.”
At my words, Ian senselessly nodded his head with confident eyes that said “Right, you were like that!”
I could hear someone knock nonsense into my head. Clang Clang Clang.
“Even then, it is inappropriate for you to act like a roughneck. It’s not even once or twice. Is this some kind of annual event? The Crown Prince’s harassment show?”
I gritted my teeth and said.
All this time, Melissa would be so happy when an invitation would arrive from the Royal Palace and dressed in her best to come to the sitting room. Every time, it was the same harassment.
