Bites & Addiction - Chapter 47:Reincarnation
The day I woke up with an insatiable hunger, was the same day when I died.
Nothing was normal as it was before. My own body felt like it wasn’t mine. I could hear the voices so loudly that it felt like they were drumming in my ears. Some voices were familiar while rest of them were not.
However, there were only one sound that I couldn’t hear—the sound of my heart.
>>
“Ahh!” I screamed as I felt an unbearable pain in my stomach. It happened all of a sudden when I was helping
Stella in the kitchen. I was almost shocked when she agreed with me in helping her, but in the next moment she said that ‘Sure sweety, Just sit here and taste the dishes I’ve made for you.’
“Oh my god, Flora?” She Came to me in a rush, screaming for help. “Help! Master Roman!”
In a blink of an eye, Roman and Freya was in front of me with a group of clan’s doctors. A week ago clan had decided to sent some doctors for me with all the medical facilities that I would be needing in coming days.
Roman scooped me in his arms, and in a moment of second we’re in a room that doctors had turned into a small paragon of hospital. I didn’t argue about giving birth in here because the room had facilities better than a human hospital.
I was being lay down onto a bed. When doctors approached me, Roman was at my side holding my hand. He didn’t let go of my hand, not for a second.
Tears started pouring down my cheek as the pain in my stomach and not to mention between my thighs increasing intensely. They had to wear me oxygen mask realising that my breathing wasn’t normal.
“Push!” I heard someone yelled.
“Ahh!” I pushed with all my mighty and grasped Roman’s hand more tightly.
He was comforting me and brushing my hair away from my face.
“Roman, I can’t it’s hurting.” I croaked. I knew my voice wasn’t clear due to the oxygen mask I’d been wearing, but he could read my eyes.
I felt him brushing his lips over my head as he whispered, “You can do it. ‘Cause you’re the strongest woman I’ve ever seen in my life, I’m damn lucky that you Came in my life and made me realise what butterflies feel like.”
I couldn’t stop the smile that spread on my face. They were the exact same words I had said to him in his office when we’re stuck in a weird situation and I gave him blow job under his table during a meeting.
Adrenaline rushed through me and I pushed hard, and fall back onto the bed as a sound of baby’s cry approached to me and soothed my ears.
It was the feeling that I couldn’t describe in the words.
“Isla.” Roman breathe holding the baby in his arms. I smiled as a warmth spread into me watching the baby. He handed the baby to Freya and again held my hand.
Meanwhile, dizziness began blurring my vision and I felt like the energy didn’t left in a single fibre in my body.
I heard a voice of ‘beep’ increasing so rapidly.
“We’re losing her, doctor.”
“We have to do an operation since the baby isn’t mature enough to come out.” Doctor dictated.
“We’re gonna be fine.” Roman assured me.
“But for that—” the doctor interrupted in a worried tone. “We need to make her stable first otherwise I’m not sure if we’ll be able to save both—the mother and baby during operation.”
“Not again.” That was the first words when my eyes snapped open to see nothing but darkness. I had a strong feeling that I knew this place but wasn’t sure where and when? So I turned around to find a familiar red door. I walked over to the door, and it was slightly opened just like before when I first came here. I opened it more and already closed my eyes shut because I didn’t want to blind by the same bright light again.
However, It never came as the second I opened my eyes to see a lily bouquet in my hands. I was confused, utterly confused. The last time I checked I wasn’t wearing any white wedding gown. Warmth rushed through my heart and a drop of tear fall over my cheek.
“A girl shouldn’t cry on her wedding, it can ruin your makeup.” I looked at my left and saw dad holding his hand for me. He was in a black suit and his face was radiating happiness.
I glanced down at his hand and then back to him.
“Come on, what are you thinking? Your groom is waiting for you.” I reluctantly held his hand and we walked on the aisle.
A slow music was playing in the background. People were silently watching me as I walked on the aisle, but I could see the cheerfulness in their eyes. They had been gathered here with their own will.
That was how I’d exactly dreamed my wedding.
Wait. But Why am I getting married? I’m still in college.
I have friends and I want to live my life before I would achieve my dreams.
“Oh, look over there. Your friend Piper.” Dad beamed and I followed his gaze to see Piper. She was with her boyfriend and her eyes were wet because of the tears of joy. She waved her hand at me and a smile appeared on my face.
We walked further and my eyes caught a figure of woman who was wiping the tears with a handkerchief.
“Mom.” I breathe as she gave me a light flying kiss with both of her hands. Next to her was Bract who was in a black button up suit with red tie. He gave me a soft smile and then winked at me. Smiling, I shook my head and walked further until a stage came into view.
Dad kissed my forehead, and giving my hand to a stranger walked off the stage.
The second my eyes met to the breathe taking stranger in front of me, I felt a spark as if electricity of 440 volt ran throughout my body.
I got hypnotised in his gray eyes. They were deeper than ocean and I didn’t mind drowning in them. I wanted to run my hand on his high cheek bones.
Even though he was a stranger, but I felt a connection with him. Like I knew him in another life.
“I know you might be thinking that why you’re marrying a stranger. Everyone at your place would be thinking the same. But trust me you’ve every right to go against this wedding, to live your life with your friends and family, to achieve your dream.” The stranger said softly, “If you go with your wish, I promise that my love for you will never gonna change and I’ll wait for you till my last breathe.”
Tears started rolling across my cheek hearing his soft and tender words. I didn’t even know him and all I wanted at this moment was him. Only him. My heart was screaming that he was the one.
My soulmate.
It was the same feeling that’s been described in a book. When it’s a time for souls to meet, there’s nothing in the world that could prevent them from meeting.
“Maybe I’m too late to be your first but right now I’m preparing myself to be your last.” He said deeply looking into my eyes.
I couldn’t hide the smile that appeared on my face and I whispered, “I do.”
A hearty smile appeared on his face before he leaned towards me. The moment our lips met, everything started appearing like a flash , the memories of us fighting and then making love to each other. I started remembering everything.
“I love you, endlessly.” Roman whispered against my lips.
“I love you, more than pancakes.” I said in a mocking way, earning a chuckle from him.
“Aww, how I got to be that damn lucky.” He returned the tone. With that he kissed my eyes.
>>
The moment I opened my eyes, he was still there. But the place wasn’t same anymore, it was our bedroom. The same wide glass window mirroring the mesmerising view of city.
“How do you feel?” Roman asked as I sat up. I could feel the dryness of my throat, and an itchy feeling inside of my skin.
“Hungry.” I answered, after comprehending my situation.
I was a vampire.
“Obviously.” Roman chuckled, “Time to your first feed.” He unbuttoned his first three buttons and exposed his neck to me and waited for me to feed upon him.
“But you’re a vampire.” I said confused, “How can I feed upon you?”
“I’m half mortal remember?” He said raising a brow at me. “Come here.”
That’s what I needed to attack on him. The moment I buried my fangs into his neck, I felt satisfaction.
After feeding I pushed him onto the bed and straddled over him and attacked his lips. He grabbed my waist and kissed me back hungrily.
“You were in my subconscious mind. You made it, didn’t you?” I asked between kiss. He nodded and kissed me back.
I broke the kiss and pulled myself away as I heard baby’s cry.
I got up and looked around to see a cradle. In a swift move I was there. Two babies were sleeping in the cradle. I picked one of them in my arms and couldn’t stop the tears that began pouring down my cheek.
“Iris.” I heard Roman said behind me. The girl was warm and I realised it was mortal.
Roman picked up another baby and said, “Isla.”
“They are so cute.” I croaked, kissing the babies’ face.
“Thank you for this beautiful gift.” Roman said, kissing my forehead. I smiled at him.
This was my life, my family, my dream and everything exactly the same I’ve dreamed about.
Roman made it possible.
You know what they say about addiction—that it is dangerous and bitter. But I guess sometimes it can be beautiful and sweet, it just depends on the thing you’ve been addicted to.
