Bites & Addiction - Chapter 6:Grim
“Roman, Please Don’t!” I begged as I heard him unbuckling his belt. “Please!” And then I felt the tip of his manhood on my opening.
No it can’t be happening. What would I tell Noah? I would never be able show my face either. Please God help!
I closed my eyes and waited for the moment that was going to ruin me but it never came as I felt a gust of wind at my back.
From my peripheral vision I saw Roman wasn’t behind me so I straighten myself and clutched the material tightly against my body. And then my eyes caught the site of a woman who pinned him against the wall and her hands pushing his shoulders back to control him.
“Roman control yourself!” His mother yelled at him.
“Let me go woman!” Roman growled, his eyes dark and bloody. This site of him was more dreadful than last night. I had no idea what was the problem with him. Why he always been aggressive?
“Look at You, Roman.” His mother said feeling disgusted with his son’s act. “What You’ve become. I don’t see my son in You anymore.”
“Then Let me bury myself inside of her.” He groaned staring directly at me. While I felt disgusted from his words and crossed my arms against my chest.
“This isn’t you, Roman. This is the monster who makes you say things like this, the monster who makes you do things like you were going to do.” Her mother cupped his face and spoke softly, “And it is overwhelming your human side. You need to control it. Don’t let it come over you.”
What she had said was beyond my comprehension. I mean, in short, she said something overwhelming his human self.
How could he human when he drank my blood, and further he was fast as light. I also saw his fangs last night and even right now.
His eyes became gray again and his face softened as he said in a low voice, “How long I’d be able to hold it, Mom? Sooner or later, She need to know for what purpose she is here.” And with that he existed the room like a flash. Even if his voice was harsh, but he seemed…miserable.
In that moment, I felt pity for him. It seemed as if he was in pain. An unbearable pain.
And what did he say? A purpose? For what purpose he brought me here? For what purpose he married to me?
I was confused as hell. These guys were so mysterious. I didn’t know where my life was going.
“He isn’t what you think.” His mother said quietly while her back was still on me.
“Yeah I can see that.” I scoffed.
She turned around to face me.
How different two person can be who shares same blood. At one side his mother Who really feels sorry for his son’s act and at other side himself who didn’t even glance at me when he left.
Seeing her distressed, I took a step towards her and quizzed with concern, “What is wrong with him? Is he suffering from an uncurable disease?”
I regret after what I said. Vampire doesn’t get sick. Right Does they?
She chuckled at my question and motioned me to come over. I walked upto her. As I approached her, she gently rubbed my shoulder and smiled, “You are naive and pure.” I returned the smile.
“Roman is a half breed but he never got sick like other humans.”
A half breed. Now that seems new.
“A half breed?” I questioned curiously. She walked upto the window and answered while staring out of it, “His father was a human.” wiping a tear from the corner of her eye she sniffed, “He passed out last year.” She sounded anguished.
“I’m sorry for your loss.” I consoled her. “It must’ve been a really hard time for you.”
“Yes it was.” She whispered and then turning around she wiped the few tears that was shimmering in her eyes, smiled softly, “Jesus! What am I doing? You’ve already had enough and now I’m talking to you about my own life.”
“No its ok-” I stopped in mid as She interjected and clapped. After a moment, a girl in maid’s uniform might be as same age as mine entered. She had blonde hair that were tied up in a ponytail.
“Adele, arrange the dresses as Flora like to wear.” She ordered her. And Adele opened her mouth but then closed again. It seemed as she wanted to say something.
Atlast She said, “Can I do this after an hour? Because right now I have to prepare Master Roman’s meal.” And then she gave me a smug smile, “He doesn’t like when someone prepare his meal except me.”
What does that mean?
That girl was radiating some bad vibes. Her presence was making me shudder with sickness. As far as I could see, she wasn’t an innocent type maid.
“Do as I say, Adele.” Roman’s mother whose name I didn’t know yet, plastered a fake smile as I suspected, and maintained her tone polite as much as she could do. “I’ll prepare his meal. Or I’ve a better idea. Why don’t Flora prepare the meal?”
I was taken aback. Cooking is a distant thing, I don’t even know how to light a stove. And why would I cook for the person who tried to **** me awhile ago?
‘May be because he is suffering.’ My subconscious mind said.
“Flora, would you prepare a meal for your husband?” His mother said politely. I looked at Adele, her eyebrows were knitted but she was trying to maintain her posture.
“Yes. I would love to.” I had no idea what gotten into me when I got agreed to her.
It took me three and a half hours to prepare his meal. At first, toast got almost burned so I had start with other. Salad was the only thing that seemed nearly ideal. Freya, Roman’s mother who just told me her name brought a cup of red liquid, must be blood. After placing the cup in a tray where others had been placed already, I smoothed my pink knee sized lace dress and headed towards his Room.
I took a deep breath before knocking, and then opening the door, I stepped in.
Somewhere I knew what had been waiting for me.
