Bizarre Detective Agency - Chapter 1445
Chapter 1445 Bizarre Syndrome.
The ink-stained quill was held in the palm of one hand and paused on the paper.
“Mr. Lu Li, you can speak now.”
The doctor raised his head and motioned to the black-haired man sitting across from him.
The black-haired man who was called Lu Li was silent for a while: “Say what?”
The doctor raised his eyebrows slightly, and picked up the medical record from the side to look through it.
Lu Li waited quietly, his black eyes fell out of the window.
It was hazy outside the window, and the gray mist filled the air.
“Is the weather nice outside?” The doctor looked down and asked casually.
“I have never seen such a big fog.”
The distant outline is swallowed by the spreading thick fog, forming a vast world of gray fog.
“Fog?”
The doctor looked out the window, squinted his eyes slightly, and looked down at the medical records again: “Let me see… paranoia, um… severe, this is not common…”
“I am very healthy.”
Lu Li frowned slightly.
“Of course, you are healthy, but you can be healthier. We just want to ensure that every patient recovers as soon as possible…” As if he had said it countless times, the doctor answered smoothly and formulaically, and put his hands under the desk.
“Can you still remember the past?”
Lu Li recalled carefully, then shook his head.
Continuing with some simple inquiries, the doctor gradually relaxed and returned to a lazy sitting posture.
“I have no problem.”
The doctor flipped back the medical records, reached out and rang the desk bell to call the nurse.
“Take our…” The doctor scanned the names on the medical record, “…Mr. Lu Li to the third floor.”
The nurse walked into the office with the smell of disinfectant, and said hesitantly: “We don’t have enough beds…”
The doctor hands the medical chart and a pen to the nurse.
“Then put him on the second floor.”
“Can…”
The doctor looked at Lu Li who had regained his composure, and said nonchalantly, “His mood is fairly stable, he’s fine.”
Holding the medical record to his chest, the nurse and Lu Li said, “Please follow me.”
Lu Li got up and left his seat, followed the nurse out of the office, and walked along the quiet and empty corridor to the second floor.
“Head nurse, there are patients on the third floor who need to be arranged on the second floor.”
The nurse said to the nurse station with the curtain drawn. A moment later, a heavy male voice came from behind the curtain.
“…Room 204 has available beds.”
Da da da-
Continue to follow the crisp sound of high heels, and there are house numbers written on the wards along the way.
201…202…203…
The nurse stopped in front of Ward 204 and led Lu Li into it.
The dirty bed covered with wet mud and gravel by the window came into view, and there was a monster sitting on the bed.
It was a truncated tree, the spread roots formed a curtain along the hospital bed, and an old face appeared on the rough, wrinkled bark.
The nurse entered the ward and found that Lu Li was standing outside the door and did not come in.
“Why is there a monster in the room?”
Lu Li frowned and looked at the living tree. The latter swayed the withered crown in response, making a rough rubbing sound.
The nurse said angrily: “It’s too ugly for you to speak like that, please apologize to her!”
“Sorry.”
Finding that the nurse didn’t think there was any problem, Lu Li followed suit.
The nurse’s sullenness eased a bit, she hugged the living tree and softly comforted her, and only a few words floated to the door.
“Patients on the third floor…paranoia…temporarily…”
The living tree made a grinding sound like sawing wood: “What is paranoia?”
The nurse raised the volume slightly so that Lu Li could hear: “What you see will become the imagination in your head.”
“Isn’t that fun?”
“Not at all, little Linna, adults don’t imagine colors, sky, fairy tales like children…”
After calming Huo Shu, the nurse went back to the door and told Lu Li the rules here.
“Don’t leave the ward and walk around after the lights are off; don’t stay in the dark; keep quiet and don’t disturb the patients; don’t run to the place where there is only one light.”
“And, it is forbidden to leave this floor, stay away from ward 213, and call the nurse immediately if you find a problem.”
Lu Li nodded and followed the nurse out of the ward.
“Anything else?” The nurse said coldly.
“Live… what’s wrong with little Linna?”
“Psychological trauma.” The nurse softened her attitude, “Don’t provoke her.”
“I will.”
Watching the nurse disappear into the corner at the end of the corridor, Lu Li’s attention returned to the ward—the wrinkled face of the living tree “Little Linna” looked at him.
Facing the gaze and returning to the ward, Lu Li noticed that there was a third bed in the room: the corner against the wall was covered by white curtains.
I don’t know if there are any patients inside.
Come to the middle bed, this bed covered with crisp white sheets will be his next residence.
Lu Li opened the drawer of the bedside table. Apart from being empty, there was the low trembling sound of the living tree “Little Linna” coming from the hospital bed by the window.
“Are you crying?” Lu Li asked proactively.
“I’m drooling…”
The naturally hanging roots on the edge of the hospital bed squirmed and stretched towards Lu Li in front of the bedside table.
Lu Li was about to do something when he suddenly remembered what the doctor said about paranoia.
“The scenery outside the window is very good.” Looking at the gray fog outside the window, Lu Li pushed the hospital bed away from the living tree
The attention of the living tree is attracted by the window: “I like sunshine…do you like it too?”
Lu Li looked at the deep haze covering the world.
They are lying, or they are at fault.
“Where are you going?”
The living tree “Little Linna” looked back at Lu Li who was retreating.
“I want to look outside.”
“The nurse sister won’t let me out.”
“I won’t go far.”
It’s not dark now, and Lu Li won’t leave the second floor either.
In the quiet corridor shrouded in mist, there was a wheelchair by the window, and a thin figure sat on it.
That was the only figure in the hallway of this insane asylum with no nurses and no family members.
The door of Ward 205 next to it suddenly opened, and the nurse came out from inside.
“What are you doing here?”
“She looks like she needs help.”
The nurse glanced at the silhouette on the wheelchair that Lu Li was paying attention to, and said formulaically, “Please go back.”
Lu Li nodded, looked away from looking up slightly to observe the outline of the wheelchair, and returned to Ward 204 under the watchful eyes of the nurse.
The veiled curtains hung icily, and the living trees seemed to yawn as the fog outside the windows yellowed like evening.
Evening is getting closer.
Lu Li took off his windbreaker and hung it on the hanger. The voice of a living tree came from nearby.
“Mr. Lu Li, your smell is delicious…”
Its roots swayed like seaweed, quietly extending towards Lu Li’s bed.
Lu Li didn’t smell himself, and didn’t know what would happen if he let his tentacles touch him—it wouldn’t be very good.
He tried to follow the normal logic and regard the living tree “Little Linna” as a little girl: “Do you want to hear a lullaby?”
The living tree “Little Linna” reacted to Lu Li’s words – ferocity and madness suddenly appeared on the wrinkled face, and the sharp roots twined around Lu Li in an instant, and the pain shrouded the last ray of light in his sight.
The faint smell of disinfection lingered at the tip of his nose, and Lu Li woke up leisurely.
The thick gray fog outside the window told him that this was not a dream.
“Good morning, Mr. Lu Li… Did you have a nightmare?”
The murderer’s rough greeting came from the bed next to him.
