- Chapter 5: Chapter 05: House Hunting is So Hard
Upon arriving in Toruntoew the first thing that I did was go ask the locals for a good hotel that wasn’t very expensive (I know that I’m rich now but that doesn’t mean I have to waste my money). Thankfully thanks to my father who insisted that we all learn different languages I could speak 5 different languages; Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, German , French, and English The last 2 of which the locals spoke.
After about an hour I got to the hotel that some locals recommended to me and as soon as I got into my room I just jumped onto the bed and slept.
The next day I woke up at about 7:00am and proceeded to do some research on homes for sale in the Area and after about 5 hours of looking I narrowed it down to 3 different homes each with their own charms.
One was a 4-bedroom, 5 bathroom, 3,000 sq, Ft., White, Victorian-Gothic style house that cost 6 million dollars. The problem with this one is that it’s so isolated that it’s location would be problem.
The second option was a 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 2,500 sq. Ft., Mediterranean styled house that cost 12.5 million dollars. The problem though with this one was that even though the house itself is big you don’t have that much land outside.
The last choice was my favorite of them all. It was 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom, 3,500 sq. Ft., ult. Modern glass Home. The problem though with this one was the fact that it cost 17 million dollars something that might not work well especially with the plans I had. After contemplating for a while though I decided to call up the agent.
“Hello is this the realtor for the ult. Modern glass house at *********” I asked hesitantly.
“Yes, this is she but I’m sorry to tell you that if you were thinking about buying it someone just bought it not even an hour ago and everything is already finalized.” She replied in a cheerful voice.
After a moment of silence due to the shock and sadness of it all I hesitantly replied, “Ummm well how about the Mediterranean house at *********.”
“Thankfully that particular house is still available, and the price recently decreased from 12.5 to 10 million, so you are going to be getting a deal.” She spoke in the fake artificial way that all salespeople seem to speak in when they tried to sell you something.
After that conversation I was just emotionally drained and just laid down looking at the ceiling in a daze contemplating all that has happened in the past few days.
Update 2 of 2
I know that this might have some run-on sentences and so I do apologize about that.
Lastly the houses are based on my favorite architecture styles and you guys should really look up them because they are gorgeous especially the ult. modern glass house ( the different height one is my dream house tbh)
HEADS-UP: next chapter I might be doing a time jump either a few months or a year later idk yet but I just wanted to warn y’all ahead of time.
