Bloody Secrets - 21 Hiding something

I am lying at this bed for an hour now. I want to sleep but I don’t know why my eyes were wide awake. Maybe because I’ve been sleeping for too long. I wanted to visit my parents, the real one but Sean insisted to take me on the next day.

I decided to stand up and head towards the closet. That’s when I found out that there aren’t any clothes for me to wear except these tons of hospital dress. How lucky. I went down to find Sean but he wasn’t in the living room. Where did he go? I still searched for him and at last, I found him. He’s at the garden watering the plants. He saw me and stopped. The next thing I know is that he is heading towards my direction.

“Why are you outside? I thought you wanted to rest?” He asked worriedly. He still smells nice even though he is covered in sweat. I think that he is the reason why the garden is beautiful to look at. I smiled. He must be in love with the flowers.

“Are you okay?” He now asked when I didn’t respond.

“I’m fine.” I simply answered.

“But I don’t have any clothes to wear,” I said.

“About that. Well, you don’t know this but we’ve been transferring houses so it’s convenient for us to buy hospital gowns. Besides, I wasn’t sure if you will ever wake up.” He explained. He has a point.

“Can you buy me some? This is so uncomfortable to wear.” I stated and smiled awkwardly. He smiled too in return while scratching the back of his head.

“Wait for a minute. I’ll just take a bath.” He stated and hurriedly went inside the house. I had nothing to do so I decided to look at the flowers which he was watering a while ago. They were all red roses. They were all pure red like the color of blood. I was about to pick one when Sean finally called me.

“Let’s go.” He stated. He changed clothes. No, he took a bath, fast. His hair was still wet. He probably didn’t want me to wait that long. I proceed to walk towards where he is. He was getting inside the car. I did too. He then drove away from the house.

I don’t know where we are but this is a mall. I don’t know what place we are in right now but we drove for about two hours just to get to the city. He pulled my hand to get inside a store. A sales lady greeted us.

“What can we help you with Sir?” The girl asked.

“Give us bags, shoes, pieces of jewelry, clothes, and undergarments.” He stated and handed the girl a black card. The girl smiled happily in return.

“For her Sir?” She now asked. He nodded as an answer.

“Then follow me, Mam.” The girl stated and so I did. Then I saw Sean sat on a sofa. The ladies seem to like him. They’ve been looking at him and smiling like crazy. Hence, that’s when I realized that I forgot that he is a singer. This might ruin his image. I was about to walk towards him when the girl who’s attending me gave me dresses.

“Try this all.” She stated. I was about to try it inside and head towards the changing room but Sean stopped me.

“Pack it all. We’ll be leaving.” He stated. He looks serious. What happened? I look around but there’s no suspicious person inside the store. What is bothering him?

A few minutes later, the paper bags were brought to us. He insisted to carry it all. But still I argued with him and now I’m carrying some on my hands. We were heading towards the parking lot. When we got there, we put all the paper bags at the trunk. I was about to get inside when Sean shouted.

“GET DOWN!” He said. I immediately responded and the next thing I know is that men were shooting at us. Sean was shooting towards them too. These might be the reason why he’s uncomfortable a while ago. He is sensing something. They’ve been trailing us.

“Give me a gun,” I said but he didn’t listen. The car is being destroyed. My things are in there damn it! I decided to pick up the broken pieces of a mirror from the car and run towards those men. They were aiming at me but they’re too slow. I mean are they blind or are they purposely not shooting me? Whose men are this? When I finally got near them, I easily cut their throats one by one but fast.

“Now it’s all over,” I stated and searched for their bodies. That’s when I finally found the thing that I was looking for. That fucking family’s emblem.

“Aviana” Sean called.

“Don’t worry. I won’t start a fight. Not until I find him.” I said and looked at him. He smiled sadly in return. I was about to talk once again but he turned his back from me.

“Let’s head home.” That’s the only thing he said and went towards the car to get the paper bags at the trunk. I immediately went towards him and helped him. He didn’t talk after that. We decided to take a cab since our car is ruined.

We finally arrived home but he still isn’t talking to me. Did I say something bad? He’s acting strange? He went towards my room and put down the paper bags, I did too. He was about to walk outside but I stopped him.

“What’s wrong?” I asked. He looked at me thoroughly before answering me.

“I’m just thinking.” He simply replied. I’m not satisfied with his answer.

“About what?” I asked again. I can see in his eyes that he is about to lie. Eyes can tell what you feel.

“About some things.” He now stated and smiled. I was about to ask more but to my surprise, he patted my shoulder.

“Don’t worry, just rest. Don’t get too worked up yet. It’s still not time.” He stated. What does he mean? Is he hiding something from me? Hence, I didn’t bother to argue.

“They probably found out about this place. So in the morning, we should leave.” He added.

“Let them come,” I answered he looked at me with a stunned expression on his face.

“What?” He asked in disbelief.

“We can get killed.” He added.

“We can get killed yes. But they can never lay their hands on me. Because before they get near me. They will be lifeless.” I stated coldly.

I’m still not finished with that old man. I will kill him that’s for sure. I won’t stop even if he kills me a hundred times. His life can’t be compared to the pain that he caused me. I will make him suffer until he begs for death.
