Ava is dead. She’s truly dead. I just found out that she isn’t my sister but in my heart, she’s still my little brat. I didn’t even get the chance to be with her during her last breath. How terrifying could that be? Dying without knowing the truth.

I’m deeply hurt but Aviana is feeling worse than me. She’s her sister. She might have thought that she’s protecting her by letting that old man think that Ava is one of the De Lave’s. But all her efforts had gone to waste.

Sean too is dead. Three people died today. We didn’t even get the chance to get Sean’s body. My chest is so heavy but I don’t want to cry. This is too much for me but it might affect Aviana. Sean was always there for me. Both of us grew up together, depending on each other. He was like a brother and now I can’t possibly accept the fact that he was dead because of me. Even though we had the chance to run away from them. He chose to stay so we can be safe.

I looked at Aviana who is already awake. She is staring blankly at the window of the car. We still don’t know where are we going but we both know that we can’t get out of this country. I return my gaze to the path that we are heading.

“Just go to the Fiera’s Mansion.” She stated. So I changed my direction and head there. She still looks calm even though what happened a while ago can deeply affect her. However, I stopped my car because she began to cry.

“Shhh,” I called and took off my seat belt to hug her. She’s finally crying. I think she’s been holding it in for me. She wants to be strong but in the end, she broke into tears. It’s too hard to see her at this state.

“Everything’s going to be fine,” I said while patting her head. We’ve stayed in that position for a moment until she calms down by herself.

I proceeded to drive when I noticed that she is finally okay. I drove fast so that we can arrive soon and she can finally rest. At last, when we were finally there, thankfully they immediately opened the gates. Although, the recent owner of this mansion is dead. All of their men are loyal to them and stayed until the next owner came back.

I carefully parked the car and got out. One man opened the door for Aviana, so she stepped out of the car too. They warmly welcomed us even though they know that I’m not their master anymore. They already know that I’m their enemy but why are they okay with this?

“Let’s go Malady.” The man who opened Aviana’s door said. Just before I know it, I recognized his face. It’s Uncle Christian.

“Why are you here?” I asked surprised but he just looked at me in the eye.

“You probably know why.” He finally said, smiling bitterly and walked towards me. He hugged me to my surprise.

“This is heartbreaking from a father but it is also heartbreaking for a friend and a brother.” He whispered. I don’t know but after he said that I can’t help myself but to cry. He knows that his son will die and he’s ready for that to happen. How foolish am I for not protecting my friend? He should be disappointed. He should resent me but why? Why is he like this?

“This is not your fault. It is our world.” He said and took a step back to take a better look at me.

“Now let’s go in.” He said. I continued to walk. I looked at Aviana first who’s just silently looking at us. However, her eyes seem cold.

“Let’s go inside now my lady.” Uncle Christian said to Aviana but she didn’t respond to him. She just started to walk and did not wait for us.

“Let’s take care of her from now on.” Uncle Christian suddenly said that made me look at him.

“After all, that’s what Sean wants.” He added and sadly smiled. What does he mean by that?

We proceed to walk and when we were finally inside. We went towards the dining hall. It’s as if he was waiting for us to come here. There were so many foods waiting to be eaten. I took a glimpse at Aviana who’s still standing and looking at the food at the table. Maybe she’s also thinking that this is strange. However, now is not the time to think of negative things.

“Let’s eat.” Uncle Fred said and sat down from one of the chairs. Aviana was still standing so I came towards her and was about to hold her arms when I felt her flinch when she sensed my presence.

“What’s wrong?” I asked but she didn’t answer. She just walked away and proceed upstairs.

“Show her, her room.” Uncle Christian told one of the maids and so they obeyed his command immediately. Somehow, I feel that there’s something off.

“Let’s eat now.” He said again and so I sat down. I looked at the food that is in front of me and it was steak. I feel nauseous seeing meat today though.

“Go on.” He said. It made me look at him. Why isn’t he eating first? I took my spoon and knife to cut the steak. While I was cutting them, it’s giving me shivers that he’s just watching me. So, I stopped.

“Are you not going to eat?” I asked.

“These are all prepared for you. You should eat first.” He said. That’s funny. How did he know that we will be arriving tonight? Should I eat it?

I took my fork once again and started to eat. It’s good. The steak’s been cooked perfectly. I wonder who’s the chef. I continued to eat but I noticed that he is just there staring at me. I didn’t bother to mind him until I heard a scream coming from upstairs. It wasn’t Aviana. I immediately run and so did Uncle Christian.

When we got there a maid was lying on the floor, lifeless. I remembered that she was the one that Uncle Christian commanded to show Aviana’s room. Where is Aviana? Suddenly I saw a shadow standing at the corner of the room. Her eyes were as red as blood. It wasn’t terrifying anymore like her eyes a while ago. I tried to walk towards her but then I suddenly felt my head throbbing. I fall on to my knees. I feel like my head is turning.

“You dare to trick us.” She suddenly said. Things in the room started to float. Stop it Aviana. I tried to speak but my head hurts. What is happening to me?

“You both deserve it.” Uncle Christian suddenly answered. I immediately looked at him. He’s smiling differently. No! He’s not Uncle Christian. There is a scar on his forehead. Why the hell didn’t you noticed that Ace?

“Yes.” He said when he saw me looking at him shocked.

“I’m William.” He added and was about to grab my neck when he suddenly froze. I heard Aviana walking towards me.

“You even dare to hurt him.” She said and helped me to stand up.

“Everyone in this house will pay.” She stated and again just like what happened to Lance’s body. Uncle William’s body was blown into bits. Then I began to hear screams coming from different people. I suddenly felt her covered my ears. I looked at her.

“I’m sorry.” She whispered but I smiled in return. She shouldn’t be. I was a fool not to sense danger coming before us. I too covered her ears.

“I love you,” I said even though she won’t hear me. But to my surprise, she kissed me.

“I’ll kill those people.” She said and pulled my left arm to put it at her shoulders. She dragged me out of the room.

“Now let’s get out of this place.” She said and proceeded to walk.

As we were heading towards the door, I noticed the maids and some of the Fiera’s men were pleading for her. What did she do to them? I thought she was going to kill them like Uncle William but she is letting them die slowly? She finally put me inside the car and after that, she proceeded to the driver’s seat. I suddenly realized that my head is not aching anymore. I think she noticed me realizing that.

“I gave them the poison. They should die slowly. Those who stab me in the back will experience my wrath.” She stated.

“You’re okay now right?” She finally asked and held my hand. I nodded. How did she do that? Her powers are limitless but by that, does that mean she can’t be killed?

“That’s not yet impossible.” She said out of a sudden. Can she read my mind? That’s impossible.

“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says that it is possible.” She answered that it made me look at her amazed. But wait, what? She can read my mind? Then I can’t think of perverted things about her? She suddenly laughed. Now that finally ease the mood. I smiled as she looked at me.

“Let’s try to forget this and start a new life,” I suggested. She nodded in return. I pulled her face and started to kiss her but she stopped me in the middle of it. She then started the car and drive.

“Let’s live happily.” She said and started to drive.

“Let’s do that until we die,” I answered and smiled in return.
