Bloody Secrets - 37 Hello, little one!
ACE KIEN DE LAVE
The day has finally arrived. The day of our wedding. I looked downstairs and everyone is ready for the wedding. Everything is settled, the invitations, the dresses, the suits, the venue for the reception and even the church. She was prepared to get married. She has been preparing for this wedding for about three months now and she didn’t even bother to tell me. I could have helped her.
I mean that’s what couples do right? They should help each other but she is right. I was busy finding a ring and it took me 4 months until I finally bought one. What is the reason? Well, she was always there. She suddenly shows up whenever I was about to buy a ring. I wanted it to be a surprise but she spoiled it in the end. I laughed remembering my proposal. I don’t have to complain though since it turned out well and today, we are ready to get married.
I’m still looking at the window when my gaze was suddenly caught by the car parking in front of the house. Yes. We’ve invited the people who have been close to us for the last few months here in this place and of course, we only invited a certain family that is involved in our past life. How I wish that those people who were already gone can witness this day. Especially our parents, Ava, and Sean.
My chest started to ache. It still breaks me even though months had already passed. I can still remember each person, how they died in front of my eyes. Their deaths were too sudden so who can forget that? I can’t and maybe Aviana too. I hurriedly went downstairs and there they are smiling when they finally saw me. I proceeded to walk towards them and Uncle Christian hugged me.
“Congratulations.” He simply said. I looked at Auntie but she’s crying. I turned to embrace her too. They became my family and I’m grateful that they are here to witness this event.
“Sean would have been proud if he sees you right now.” She said and again broke out in tears. Yes. He would be happy if he sees me getting married now. A tear had escaped from my eyes. I can’t help myself but remember him. How he sacrificed his life for us. How sad it is to think that he’s not here by my side anymore.
He should be telling jokes right at this very moment. I know that he would make fun of me. Either because I’m getting married or because of what I’m about to wear because Aviana chose this. This isn’t my style but who can blame her. She made an effort just for this wedding to happen. I smiled remembering Sean laughing. Hence, I suddenly realized that they brought someone.
“Hi.” I greeted and kneel to take a better look at him. He’s yawning. Did he just wake up from their trip? I smiled.
“He looks just like you,” I said and pinched his cheeks. He giggled. It’s such a pity that he’s born in this world of ours. Too innocent to witness death.
“You’ve come.” Someone suddenly said behind us. It was Aviana walking towards. She is still not dressed up though. What is she waiting for? Is she waiting for them? Well, the church isn’t far from here and the venue for the reception will be held here, so I think she can manage to prepare fast.
“Hi, Jayden.” She called and kneel towards him. Uncle and Auntie looked at each other confused. They might be wondering how did she his name when she just recently meets him. She used her ability that is why. Sean doesn’t like to talk about his little brother because he badly wants him to live and away from our world.
“Can you come with me and help me dress up.” She said and smiled. The kid proceeded to walk towards her. It’s as if he was fond of her already. I smiled as they head upstairs.
“Make yourself at home. I’d be down in a minute after I finished preparing okay?” I said to them and they nodded in return.
I hurriedly went upstairs. The make-up artist was there already so she began to fix my face. When she was finally finished, she went outside and I began to prepare myself. I looked at the clothes that she bought me lying at the bed. It was a white suit. She chose this for me. I just can’t help myself but smile. I wore it then picked up the shoes to wear too.
After that, I took a better look at the mirror. I look fine, I guess. One final touch though. I went towards one of my drawers and picked up the red rose pin that Mom gave to Ava. I put it towards my right chest. Now, it’s as if they are here for me. I’m ready. I just hope that nothing will happen at this wedding.
AVIANA SKYE FIERA
Jayden is just calmly holding my hand when we proceed to my room. I let him sat down towards the edge of the bed then I took a better look at him. He looks like Sean. I can’t help myself but cry. I was about to wipe it off but he did it for me. I smiled.
“Why are you crying?” He asked. But to my surprise, he began to cry too. What did I do? I tried to stop him from crying by giving him a cookie from the side table of the bed. And there he finally stopped. Thank God. I sighed in relief because he doesn’t cry loud.
“I miss my brother too.” He whispered. It made me look at him. Then tears fell even more towards my cheeks.
I tried to hold it in but I just can’t hide it. I’m too guilty to face the fact that it was my fault that he’s no longer here. No! It was my fault that all of them were no longer here. All this time, it was my fault. Just me. They all died because of me.
“Can you do me a favor Jayden,” I said to him. He looked at me first then he started to eat his cookie.
“Be strong okay?” I said and hugged him.
“I want you to be strong,” I added and hugged him very tightly. I’m starting to feel that something will happen today but I badly hope that it won’t be what I have in mind. Because if anything happens again to these people. I might lose myself from rage.
