Bloom - Victory II
The last trickles of detection faded away as he escaped.
The great Creator, his Father had left him three tasks.
Raise a Champion.
Find the Creator.
Free the Creator.
He paused thinking. There was nothing forcing him to do these things.
Except for the fact that we’ll both die if you don’t!
The creature paused as it took stock of the input from his…passenger. While it was true it wasn’t the only motivation. He missed his family, Father and Mother were the only others he knew that approached his level of power. Power was the only metric he knew to measure family by, as it was part of him.
Pages flipped in annoyance as the creature thought once again of obliterating the Creator’s aide in following the three tasks.
Ivankov Bigglesworth the Fifth fears no creature that can obliterate him with a thought!
The moment passed and the being decided that even if it was annoyed, it wasn’t worth risking the Creator. Foreign thoughts flowed through him as he considered his options.
Many of the great beings the Father had fought were barely a match for him, but their numbers, their numbers were too much.
So eliminate the numbers. They are weak after this war, and many among them believe that their [System] is the cause. We can play towards that paranoia!
Pages flipped and the sensation of agreement passed between the passenger and the creature.
The creature opened the middle of his body allowing access to the storage within. A shining core compressed to the highest limit rose up shining out into the place he’d been hiding. Power rippled as the creature accessed the Runes the Creator had left him.
Here. Here. This one, and there. We cannot stop them completely from using the [System] as too many understand its value. However, we can instead, Slowtheir rate of recouping losses down.
Yes. It was fitting that those who had struck against Father and Mother paid for their crime.
He couldn’t get revenge on his own yet. He wasn’t as strong as Father and Mother.
Patience. Patience my young ally. We have just short of several eternities to work. You remember what I recommend before right?
Pages flipped, the creature nodding his body. Releasing the Chaos curse he remembered that the passenger had explained that finding the right champion would take time. They had to be both one who understood the horror of losing freedom, balanced with one who wanted to see the world burn. They couldn’t have any living attachments or friends, the better to be molded. Several other requirements existed but it was the last one that was a little confusing.
The last requirement is for my acceptance! I refuse to teach anything but a gorgeous creature that I can drool over in silence!
Indeed, the last requirement was the champion had to be a beautiful female of their species.
Shrugging his pages the creature gave up trying to understand the passenger’s logic.
Mortal beings were weird, it was just that simple.
Attempting to understand them was a waste of valuable Chaos, which he wouldn’t countenance.
I have scanned those who departed, among them was one injured gravely in heart, body, and mind. His world would be the perfect incubation point for us. It would take time to kill him while he is wounded, but if successful we could infiltrate their ranks.
The creature paused, before nodding.
Even if the world itself didn’t have someone that fit the requirements of being a Champion for Father, he would have agreed.
The thirst of striking back was just too much this soon after Father being sealed.
Turning in a direction that was more there than here the creature slipped out of the Void.
By hunting the one called, Sven, Lord of the Green Forests and Protector of Nature, we are doing multiple things at once. He is one of only a few Divinities remaining on his world after the war. If we manage to do this right, we can create a world that is barely part of the Divine’s network. We kill off him, and the few remaining others. Then we pretend to be Sven, and tell the High Realm Council that the others died of their wounds in the war. We agree to guard the world until replacements occur from the [System] . By doing this we’ll join the [System] faction that urges us to recoup losses, and integrate ourselves into their faction. From that point we can move to find or create our own Champion. Even if our Champion makes mistakes, we can simply claim we are training her. Once she is strong enough, we can devour the world and move her to another for real training.
The creature nodded as it flew under stealth towards the titanic wash of green that covered multiple continents of the world in front of it.
It was patient. It was silent. It was lethal.
Yet most of all, it was hungry.
