Time slowly ticked by, but no matter what the He family did, their results were in vain. Zhou Yan had no intention of letting any of them off, and the only family they could turn to was the Han family.

“We won’t get anything from trying to reason with Han Qingshan,” He Julong deduced after seeing that he had done nothing to assist them. Not even after he noticed that they began to experience troubles.

“I don’t think that Han Liqiang is going to support us either,” Master He said with a sigh. Both he and his son were feeling immensely demotivated, however suddenly He Julong narrowed his eyes.

“What about Han Weisheng?” he asked tentatively.

Master He frowned as he thought of the name that had reverberated through the entire business industry some years back. “Han Weisheng might be worth a try,” he admitted.

“Han Weisheng has a good relationship with our He family,” He Julong stated. “Not to mention, I can imagine him being displeased with Jiang Yingyue as a granddaughter-in-law. She is a commoner and does not have anything to her name, which can assist the Han Corporation. Initially, he was looking at Yuyan with interest, but due to her current behavior, we cannot expect anything from her.

“Still, we might be able to get our hands on something useful from Han Weisheng. A common enemy makes us friends.”

Master He nodded his head after thinking for a bit of time. “I have Han Weisheng’s number,” he admitted. “But I have never contacted him before. He might not even be willing to hear us out.”

“It is better than doing nothing and waiting for our death,” He Julong sighed after considering it for some time.

Master He was the one who had to contact Han Weisheng. In the end, He Julong was simply too young, and he was not suitable for such a task. As such, Master He went to the study to make the phone call.

It took him a full twenty minutes before he emerged again, but this time his eyes held a sliver of hope.

“Han Weisheng has agreed to meet with us to hear our side of the story. I assume that he does not like this granddaughter-in-law that Han Qingshan has found for him, so he is willing to help us to show her that she has no actual say in the family.”

He Julong nodded his head, but where his father was optimistic, he did not feel as hopeful about it.

Han Weisheng might be the chairman of the Han Corporation and even the Old Master of the Han Family, but Han Liqiang and Han Qingshan now handled the family affairs and everything related to the business. Even if the old Master wanted to intervene, and even if they had to give him face, it was not to the point where he could pressure Han Qingshan to give up his revenge for Jiang Yingyue.

Not to mention, all their problems were currently caused by the Zhou family, even if the Han family were not to cause problems, could they really reach out to get them out of trouble, when their current contract was with Zhou Corporation?

Although his father thought that every single problem would be solved if Han Weisheng spoke up for them, He Julong knew it would not be that easy.

“We need to get rid of Yuyan.” He Julong had already hardened his heart. “We can not keep her around when she causes such problems. Also, I will contact Zhou Yan when we have gotten rid of her and ask for him to be lenient. Even if Han Weisheng supports us, he will not be able to help us with this contract as the contract is with the Zhou Corporation.”

Master He was feeling slightly uncomfortable when he heard what He Julong said. He just felt as if he had found a piece of driftwood in a stormy sea, but moments after, his son forcefully dragged it away from him.

He was not willing to sacrifice his daughter if he had a choice. He Yuyan was his little princess whom he had seen grow up from newborn and until her current age.

Not only this, but she was also the kid that he loved dearly, and she was groomed to one day bring their family even further through a marriage alliance.

He even still harbored ideas of having her married to Han Qingshan. If he could get the old man Han Weisheng to approve, would Han Qingshan have any other option than to heed his elder’s orders?

He Julong could see the unwillingness on his father’s face, and his eyes hardened. He knew that the family loved and doted on He Yuyan, but he was not willing to give up everything for the sake of his sister.

At this point in time, He Julong was not happy. He knew that his family was sinking, but his father was delusional, and his sister was a pig teammate.

Sighing, he decided to see what will happen after his father had spoken with Han Weisheng. If he could somehow salvage the situation, then that would be good, but if they could not, then he had to come up with some other solutions.

He still decided to contact Zhou Yan again.. Although the last visit had ended rather awkwardly and he was uncomfortable, He Julong still felt that Zhou Yan was the only one able to save their family.
