Blossoming Flowers - Chapter 201
Han Qingshan was slightly stunned. He had never expected that his grandfather would bother to explain the situation to him.
At first, when he heard that he was going to assist the He family, a murderous atmosphere erupted from his body, but moments later, after he heard the reason, he calmed down. When he listened to what he had put up as conditions, he was not too opposed to the issue.
Still, he feared that He Yuyan would be getting off rather lightly. If it were the He family who was going to punish her, they would never be so ruthless as both himself and Zhou Yan wished to be.
But when he thought about the fact that the He family had once saved his grandfather, he felt that he was not in a position to put up any outrageous requests, such as sending He Yuyan to jail.
Han Weisheng heard no reply for a long time, but he did not say anything. He could sense that Han Qingshan was thinking things through, and if he stressed him, then things were likely to become bad.
“I understand,” Han Qingshan finally said after much deliberation. “I will not get involved. You will have to negotiate with the Zhou family yourself, but I will not make things worse either,” he promised.
Hearing this, Han Weisheng breathed a heavy sigh of relief. After contemplating for some time, he finally asked, “Does this animosity between the Zhou and He families have anything to do with your little doll?”
“The young master of the Zhou family is her childhood friend,” Han Qingshan admitted truthfully. He was not going to admit that Zhou Yan was his romantic rival though, but Han Weisheng was rather astute and instantly guessed it.
To have two such amazing people fighting over her, perhaps he had indeed looked down upon this little girl in the past.
After finishing the conversation, Han Qingshan hung up the phone and looked at Jiang Yingyue, who was seated by his side.
She had not been listening in on his conversation. The moment he picked up the phone, she put earplugs into her ears and began listening to music while looking out the car window. She did not want to pry into his private affairs.
Han Qingshan did not mind if she actually listened, but he respected her choice of not getting too involved with these things just yet.
Looking at the profile of her face, his heart was filled with love and tenderness. He had never thought that he could feel this way for another being. To him, women were all just lumps of meat that were walking around; none of them looked attractive to him. However, this woman had completely changed his view on everything.
Now he could not get enough of her, but he quickly returned to look at the road and drove the car to the Han Corporation.
Seeing that they arrived here, Jiang Yingyue could not help but frown. What was the purpose of going to the office now?
She did not ask. She had understood that Song Liwei was in charge of Imperial World now, and thus it would make sense for Han Qingshan to return to the Han Corporation, but what was her task? Was she still his assistant? She was not very skilled at this job, nor was she very experienced. She might even drag him down.
But Han Qingshan showed no signs of stopping. He grasped her hand into his own after they had parked in the basement, and then he led her to the elevator.
Together, they went to the top floor, where the CEO’s office was located. Although Han Qingshan was going to take over the Han Corporation, it was not something that could be done just like that, neither was it something that he could do before he had finished his studies.
So, most likely, their purpose for coming here was for him to get started on training in order to improve his performance.
As they entered the office, they saw that Han Liqiang was seated behind his desk and working. He lifted his head when he saw them and nodded to the young couple, a gentle smile hung on his lips.
“Sit for a bit. I need to deal with some paperwork.” Han Qingshan gently kissed the top of Jiang Yingyue’s head and led her to the couch before going to the desk and gathering a stack of papers.
After taking them, he moved to the sofa and sat down next to Jiang Yingyue, but he did not pay her any mind and began reading the documents.
Jiang Yingyue was also understanding. She began scrolling Weibo on her phone, checking if there was anything new and exciting she ought to pay attention to.
While they were busy, Han Weisheng took a deep breath and gave Zhou Yan’s grandfather, Zhou Jingshen, a call.
When the call connected, Han Weisheng quickly introduced the problem before assuring that he would take full responsibility, alongside guaranteeing the protection of Jiang Yingyue.
Zhou Jingshen was at first shocked when he heard about Jiang Yingyue, but unlike Han Weisheng, who had looked down upon her, he was rejoicing in happiness. His grandson had finally shown interest in the opposite sex!
After discussing for some time, Zhou Jingshen promised to make Zhou Yan release the pressure on the He family – as long as they made sure to keep the promises they had made.
While all of this was happening, Master He returned to the He family. His face was black as the bottom of a pot, and his eyes were lit with anger.
He knew that it was his daughter’s fault that made him end up like this, but he could do nothing else than do what the old man had ordered of him.
When he returned home, he called his lawyer to make an equity share transfer contract so that he could move his shares to his son. That way, he could take full control over the He family.
At the same time, he began wondering how to deal with He Yuyan.
