Blossoming Flowers - Chapter 225
“They were left there by our guests,” Han Qingshan answered casually, observing how her head turned scarlet, much like he had expected.
Smiling slightly, he could not help but shake his head as he thought her adorable.
“We will stay in the hospital for a few more days. The doctors are worried that you have gotten posttraumatic stress disorder, so they need to keep you under observation.”
Jiang Yingyue had guessed that it would be something like this and nodded her head. Although she disliked hospitals, and would much rather hurry home to the condo, she did not make things difficult for Han Qingshan.
She knew that she had been scared stiff by the Mu siblings, and she was lucky to have walked out of it without any more severe wounds, both mentally and physically.
Fortunately, that Young Master Mu had been sensible, but Miss Mu was still causing her to feel horrified.
She would shiver whenever she thought about the woman, and thus she felt it was better to be at the hospital to be thoroughly checked.
“What happened to you? Why did you not wait for me to come and save you?” Han Qingshan asked worriedly when he looked at Jiang Yingyue.
Jiang Yingyue felt a shiver run down her spine. “It was because of the woman. She was not going to wait long to make a move on me,” she said calmly, but there was a dread in her voice that made Han Qingshan worried.
He remembered the words Miss Mu had said to him and knew that she was likely not polite at all towards Jiang Yingyue either.
The fear of what Miss Mu might have done to her had caused her to act so fearlessly and even blow up their courtyard before escaping.
She was so brazen, but she was forced by the circumstances, so Han Qingshan was marveling in her brilliance and quick wit.
Holding Jiang Yingyue in his arms, Han Qingshan gave her a sense of security.
The couple spent the time talking about what had happened from the moment she had been captured until the time when he had found her again.
It was clear that she had experienced something traumatic, but she was calm about it all.
“What happened to this, Miss Mu?” Jiang Yingyue asked Han Qingshan, and his face turned solemn. His gaze flickered slightly and he wondered if he should tell her the truth, but he feared that she would not be able to fully accept the fact that he had a hand in killing someone.
Jiang Yingyue was innocent and sweet. He did not have to share this horrible secret with her.
“She won’t be causing you problems any longer,” Han Qingshan answered in an attempt of escaping the question, but his vague reply just made her frown her brows.
“Are you sure?” she asked with a confused expression. “She was incredibly stubborn, and I don’t think this would have made her hate me any less.”
“Don’t worry,” Han Qingshan squeezed her palm in his hand, “I am sure that she will never cause you any problems again.”
Hearing the certainty in his voice, Jiang Yingyue seemed to understand, yet not understand.
She knew he had done something, but as to what he had done, she could not guess.
Never in her mind would she have thought that he and Zhou Yan were the cause of Miss Mu’s death, but even if she knew, she would never condemn them.
She had lost much of her naivety after this experience; she was no longer thinking the best of everyone, and she knew that some people had to be treated cruelly in order to protect oneself.
She would never risk her happiness with Han Qingshan, and she would remove anyone who got in the way.
The next few days went by in a blur. Jiang Yingyue was by Han Qingshan’s side every day, and she was even visited by Yan Meilin and Han Liqiang.
Her own parents were unaware of the situation, and she did not wish to tell them about it either as it would only worry them, and they had just returned to the countryside.
After three days, the doctors determined that she did not have posttraumatic stress disorder, and her nerves had just been frazzled after the encounter.
Han Qingshan was treating her like she was a treasure, he was worried that she was afraid of being alone, so for those three days he had left all work in the Han Corporation to his father to deal with.
As she was discharged from the hospital, Han Qingshan took her directly back home to the condo, and although it was early in the day, he refused to let her do anything; she wasn’t even allowed to cook.
Seeing the overprotective appearance of Han Qingshan, Jiang Yingyue could not help but chuckle. It seemed that the one who had suffered the biggest fear from her kidnapping was actually him.
She walked to his side and placed a kiss on his chin, “You can’t tell me I am not allowed to cook any longer,” she happily said. Unknown to her, she had turned slightly coquettish.
Seeing her like this, Han Qingshan’s eyes deepened, the worries started drifting further to the back of his mind and he reached out, wrapping his arms around Jiang Yingyue’s waist and dragging her into his embrace.
His body was hot and his breath was scorching as he lowered his head and gently placed his lips onto Jiang Yingyue’s.
He was gentle with his movements as if she was a doll made from glass.. He gently kissed her, sucking on her lower lip and gently prying open her lips with his tongue.
